Frozen in time: British expats losing out on pensions in Thailand

Or planned for their future whilst working and ensure they're not reliant on a state pension which if that's all they had in the uk they'd be struggling even more .. no pad krapow at 40 baht etc etc ... it's no mystery , you'll need money when you're older so plan ahead while you're younger and then the state pension becomes your "beer" money . -
Rising Baht Sparks Fears of Another 'Tom Yam Kung' Crisis

It's consistently failed to capture that opportunity as the leader focus is only inward facing and reliant on tourism . Vietnam has stolen the March on that and Thailand struggles to create meaningful strategy and conditions for manufacturing industries . The Thai banking system is all about flooding easy loans and high debts thus ensuring it can repossess and sell on at 50% value and maintaining the rich elite The baht value is set as they wish , it's not tied to any other currency rather a tool of that elite . Forget manufacturing in Thailand.- 106 replies

'E-cigarettes' may be classified as a drug
chrisbangkok replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Just tax them the same as cigarette tobacco, after all isn't that the real reason e cigs are banned here , loss of tax revenue from tobacco rather than any attempt at preventing illness and disease ( more medical revenues too if tobacco is the available choice). -

That's the current incumbent party you're describing 😊. Stop the boats pah , taking the focus of the real issues is all that is , hyped by the tory press to distract the lemmings from food poverty, underfunded nhs , rampant cronieism, highest ever tax burden ,out of control inflation , fuel poverty etc etc .. all the fault of a few thousands souls in rubber boats apparently... -
Thank you Doctor , that's cleared that up then . 👍
