  1. According to the DTA Switzerland/Thailand Article 6, paragraph 1 are such income (Swiss real estate income) only taxable in Switzerland.
  2. You should read the DTA between Switzerland and Thailand (I did. You can download the DTA on PDF from a Swiss Government Web Page). It clearly say's Thailand has tax sovereignty (except on pensions when you worked for the Swiss Governement or on income on real estates property you may have in Switzerland). On interest rates and dividends you could end up paying tax twice. You will have to pay tax on interest rates, dividends and capital gains in Thailand on your bank accounts you have in Switzerland. This interest rates and dividends are allready taxed by the Swiss witholding tax of 35%. This Tax you will have to reclaim at the Swiss RD after you paded the tax in Thailand. To do so, the Thai RD must sign a declaration form from the Swiss RD which the Thai RD may not want to do.
  3. ""Why is US the only country that taxes its non-resident citizens?"" has absolutley nothing to do with the fact that US citizen are taxable in the country they are resident. Logical thinking doesn't seem to be one of your strengths, on the other hand, insulting others does.
  4. no arguments and then has to be personally insulted. What pathetic behavior.
  5. Of course it is correct what I was saying. A US citizen living in Europe is 100% taxable in this country for EVERY income he has. How on earth do you come to the idea he is exampted to pay tax in there ? This is in the sole tax sovereignity of this country where the US citizen is living in and the US Governement has absolutley no rights in the sovereignity of this country. That the US is taxing the US citizen even he is no longer resident in the US is an absolut shame but is the problem between the US citizen and his US governement. In the case where is no DTA, the poor US guy may have to pay tax twice. Bad luck for him but he has to blame the US Governement for this.
  6. If a US citizen is lifing in a European country, then this US citizen will have to pay full tax in this European country. If the US will then also tax this poor US citizen in addition, bad luck for this US citizen. This would not be of interest of the European country.
  7. Palestinian Ministry of Health is Hamas. The whole Gaza is controlled by Hamas. CNN is a left wing newspaper as The Guardian or BBC. Many left wings are antisemitic since the begin of socialism. The source of socialism is the fight against capitalism. And the US and the Jewish are for them the synonym of capitalism. In the theorrie of socialism antisemitism the Jewish are controlling the banks e.g. Rothschild and with them the whole world. This is typical antisemitic stereotypes which you can read out from many posters in thia thread.
  8. And the source behind those figures again Hamas.
  9. Of course verified by Hamas, who else ?
  10. Correct. Even more. Thailand is since last year part of the automatic exchange of information (AEOI) and will get from your bank of your home country information of your bank account (as long as you told your bank that you live abroad). Which date the account has been created, account balance, total amount of ingoings and outgoings. Even if thailand may not be ready today with their IT systems and may not be able to process the data now they receive this informations allready today and as soon as they have their IT systems in place they will then process this informations and compare with what you declared in your tax declarations years ago.
  11. When you respond to a post who was a respond to another post then you should read this post too otherwise you should better not comment.
  12. Of course there is no worldwide rule. This is what I was saying. Every country is making there own Tax rule (and not OECD). Tax sovereignty is an important thing of a sovereign country. And the tax rule of my home country (Switzerland) is: you pay tax where your focal point of life is. How you come to the idea to say this not correct without even know from which country I am ? By the way .. it is for a RD much more clever not to determine in day's from when on you have to pay tax. When a RD say's you have to pay tax after 180 day you can easaly life just 179 day in this country, 90 Day in another and 96 Day in a 3rd country and pay nowhere tax. Switzerland would now say your focal point of life is Switzerland as you spent most of the time (179 day in this example) in there.
  13. You are again wrong and I do not need to check the OECD tax residence information as alone the regulations of my country is relevant which I'm very well aware of. Furthermore you are also wrong in your statement regarding '180' or '90' day rule. The rule is: you pay taxes where your 'focal point of life' is. AND again: you are only taxholder when you are resident of my home country and are register as such with the municipality and at the same time you cannot be resident AND taxholder in my home country when you're 'focal point of life' is not in the country.
  14. BS. In most western and civilized countries it is exactly the same. Staying more then 182 day's in such a country makes you automatically 'a permanent' resident and taxholder. Or in other words ... you get permition to stay in such a country and are from day one 'permanent resident' and taxholder with exactly the same privileges as a citizen. And when you leave the country to live in another country you deregister with the municipality and are no longer taxholder in this country.
  15. Of course you can. I even stream 4k and 8k content over VPN from the us or europe till here (TH). I used Express VPN and the last three years NordVPN. No problem to watch 4k content on Disney+, Netflix and Amazone Prime using the US, UK or German Catalogue. BBC, US/UK/German Netflix/Disney+/Amazone Prime, German, Swiss, Austria, French, Italien TV all no problem with Express VPN or NordVPN. They do not recognize their IP adresse's as VPN in opposit to other VPN providers.
  16. Wise does work with Switzerland. I just transfered some weeks ago money in CHF from my Bank Account on a Swiss Bank in Switzerland to my THB Bank Account at Bangkok Bank. However, till now I never transfered money back from Thailand to Switzerland.
  17. You shouldn't comment if you don't understand the article ????
  18. Khao Lak, Bang Niang, Khuk Khak, Kok Kloy, Krabi. In specific you found dual pricing in restaurants in areas where you have a lot of tourists and/or farangs living there all year and in restaurants where thais and thai tourists as well as farangs are visiting. Restaurants who cook 'tourist thai food' do not have dual pricing. Brings nothing. No thai would go to eat there.
  19. Fact is that dual pricing in Thailand is very common. Not only in National Parks but also in Hotels, Restaurants, Taxis and Hospitals. Even on markets they try to charge Farangs with higher prices. Of course in rural places they want have 2 menu cards in Restaurants as they want have anyway many farangs (at least no farangs who are not married to a thai) but this doesen't help much.
  20. Yes they do. And Restaurants do have 2 menu cards. One in Thai with thai prices and one in english with farang prices (30%-50% more expensive).
  21. What do you mean with printout of the e-visa ? A Copy of the approval email ?
  22. The same applies to English people, Americans and Australiens.
  23. Therefore better to have the 20000 cash with me next time again. Just to be on the safe side ????
  24. Also when you come back with a re-entry permit on a one year extension of stay ?
