the interest is just about right.

total balance is 560K, interest rate is 28%APR

approximate total annual interest ~ 156K

divide that by 12 monthly payments ~ 13K/month

The longer the duration of the outstanding loan or expenses a person owes the credit suisse. The credit suisse will revise and bring up the interest annually until unimaginable percentage.

I used to owed over $100,000 of credit card bill and during that time I was out of job and in the middle of battling other manner in court. As soon as I won my court case (nothing related to credit card) and get a clear bill. I paid off all my credit cards debts using my post contest court case winnings.

  2. If she loses her job ( she makes 35-40K pm ) and can't make the payments, what happens to the debt?

    - Do the 'heavies' come to her apt and take her belongings of value? YES, her house as asset will be lock down. Depending on law country to country, she could only keep belongings not more than $5,000.

    - Does the debt go to family, parents / brothers or sisters / kids? YES, if the bank could proof that home furniture, cars, machinery was paid through the credit card.

    - Is it written off? Depend on what item.

  3. I have just updated my ID address recently in Malaysia. Apparently, as a non-Muslim above age of 18 I am able to declared myself as Non-Faith which I did.
If you are a Muslim in Malaysia, you have to go through at least 3 session of remedial counselling course at the Shariah Court in Malaysia.
If you are a Christian in Malaysia, they will ensure you have the similar remedial counselling course before letting you free from paying your Tithe.

Despite in Malaysia, the personal income tax came with variation of relief. But the gimmick of being a public is deeper than that. Annually, the inflation is high, the value of Ringgit is depreciating every year, import machinery are taxed 300% and import of food are monopoly. In reality, people pay more than 30% of what they are earning as expenses in life.

Individual vendors of any nationality can scam you, no matter your need to bash Chinese. Read the reviews on Amazon sometime. Read complaints about Ebay vendors. However the e-commerce provider stands to ensure fairness. Both Lazada and Aliexpress are big enough to have a strong vested interest in doing so. And they've certainly been fair to me, as has Ebay when I needed them. Standards, of course, can differ, and the bar for refund is a bit higher in Asia. Wearing a shirt for year then trading it back in to Walmart ain't happening.

We see countless complaints about "scams" around here supposedly arising from beer bars to airlines that when examined more closely turn out not to be scams. We also see a number of scams perpetrated by tourists, notably insurance refund scams. So what I wouldn't be surprised by is to see spurious claims of deserved refunds withheld when in fact no refund was deserved or was in fact provided. ????

    I have used Aliexpress.com> usa, Aliexpress.com> malaysia, Lazada.sg, Lazada.my, Shoppee.sg, Shoppee.my and have very minor problem.

Usual issues usually range from fake product, replica, worn, broken, torn, wrong product. I observed that customer must be savvy when doing online purchase as regulation of e-Shop legislation are differ from countries to countries to make the payment and refund less hassle from the platform provider.

Recently, Lazada and Shoppee sent a notification for customers to claim the $5 deposit free from Lazada or Shopee. The moment when you click on that free $5 by agreeing to click and consent to received the $5. Your e-wallet is created automatically. In a few days, when it is confirmed that your wallet is registered, the platform asked you to upload your passport and ID which is an issue if you are a foreigner (I don't have to elaborate here as the problems have been mentioned by users here).

The other thing is users have to do their own due diligent to ensure they get their refund according to how they make payment in the first place and how they checked out an order(s) in their cart, how they acknowledged merchant agreement and make open dispute according to stipulated time for refund and so on.

  5. People who offer bribe are either low mentality or don't learn their lesson repeating the same foolish mistakes all over again in their life.
A good example when a hawker stall paying protection money as soon as the business started opening. And soon, there will be several triads organisation come up and asking for protection money fee to pay. Isn't that stupid or just being a moron?!.

Usually, if you have a valid unused visa, your old passport will be returned to you after having surgery such as cutting of the corners applied to it. If you have the old passport with the visa, the visa is still valid and usable, but you will need to show both passports when entering Thailand.

You are absolutely right. If one have no reasonable doubt and know how the world of diplomacy work. They will keep all their old document instead losing it or stacked it away.
Things happened though, some family keep on moving like nomad so literally they don't keep get to keep their things in order due to unmanageable lifestyle and it ran in a family. So, the child that grew as an adult also care less about own document. As soon as certain document expired, they thrashed it away especially expired driving license, expired bank book, expired passport, bank statements, expired education certificates and so on.

Once all that recognition expired papers are gone. You can't prove your credibility.

I am not advocating it but you could transfer 65k to a thai bank from overseas. Withdraw it in cash and send back home via say Dee money, then repeat. Nothing in your thai bank to be suspicious about. The 65k cash could just as easily been spent on living expenses.

You have a practical point. The value of paper notes have since became very depreciated as inflation rate is consuming it day by day.

  8. Sorry to hear about your situation.

Rule of thumb still apply: Stick with 6 months advance self notification alert prior inconvenient happen to any of us just like the way how international passport requirement.

Overstay for 2 days is similar to a grounded flight for 48 hours with an average space rental for a plane landed at the parking lot at USD200 per minute.

I was down at Pattaya immigration and hadn’t bothered to do the TM 30 since being back in the country for 45 days.

The immigration woman asked me, and I told her I had been staying in a pHuket hotel the whole time (I lied) and I had just got back to Pattaya that morning. They can’t check it.

So my suggestion to anyone in the same boat is simply lie and say you were staying in a hotel in a different province.

    Too easy.

I feel you did stay in Phuket Hotel until in your own private reason and knowledge you cancelled your trip there. Thus, it would be hard to small other details why you physically decided not to stay there.???? On the other hand, there is no reason to explain too much as it will get the matter worsen due to language barrier and unforeseen event experienced by a person instead of the officer who just follow the book basic. As you said it, timing and convenience of checking it will killed everyone's time. That's how it should work in utilised as a valid reason for unnecessary argument or unnecessary unwanted fool-payment.

  10. If you could record a Vlog or blog the video how you would use the 10 Baht to make it into a nice looking ring with jewelry. I bet it could be rare and speculative.
Either you could be hate for destroying the image of the late respected King or the temple emblem. Or if you managed to save both images and place it back to the final product which is the ring in a special display. It probably worth more than 10 Baht as it have artistic and respectual value.
