  1. It is not the first experience for foreigners I must say. As an Asian myself, we have this kind of pressure as well when we came into dating lures.
So, there are rules to stick from the community.

    • When both got along well, 3 years is the best time to decide to marry and get a house bearing both names.
    • When both just merely friends in need, after 3 years look for a new life to venture.

I am starting to wonder what is wrong with me...never been ripped off, never gotten into an altercation, never had a bad experience with immigration (I am a patient person) Thai people smile at me and I am not funny looking in any way, they often try to start a conversation. Hardly ever carry my passport. I smile at police, they smile back.

I am really starting to develop an inferiority complex.

You probably looked Asian at first one look.????

  3. Before I made any payment in foreign countries. I usually took at least 30 minutes to shop around while doing monitoring and observation onto the cashier counter personnel behavior towards their local customers and foreigners customers.

I would first get a few small item and pay for it in order to get a small change.
Then, I went back to get a few more and come back to the queue and pay for it again.
And finally, I went back again to the next rack and get several item and pay for it again.
The cashier counter personal at times asked why I did that?. I told them, I love Thailand and I love to see hardworking people like them. They just smiles. Lol.

But a bunch of fools individuals of Vlogger who try to be smart-alec started to putting up a discrimination videos and tries to show that one is better than others in their Vlogs is a no-no-go practise.

I am not advocating it but you could transfer 65k to a thai bank from overseas. Withdraw it in cash and send back home via say Dee money, then repeat. Nothing in your thai bank to be suspicious about. The 65k cash could just as easily been spent on living expenses.

You have a practical point. The value of paper notes have since became very depreciated as inflation rate is consuming it day by day.

  7. One key to Life or Death in depth is to live with years long experiences while dying in the process to achieve death in grace.
Everything expires daily when you sees it and aware of this. The most significant experience that one have to uphold, is to continue his practical act and thinking something that comfort them before it ended.

I am in my 40's, seen absolutely more death in front of my eyes than any common layman in my life basis on my experience. From traffic accident to maritime accident to career related sudden death. Assisting ceremonial for digging up death body in the coffin of 13 years skeleton from the grave which is also my personal relative kin.

The thing that I observed and recorded down for years is that. At the last 3 to 5 years before a person died due to illness or natural death. Their mind change in a way whereby they became restricted to think further. They became defensive to what they strongly or extremely believed included of how they ran their daily routine and daily thoughts.

Some smile at life as they are thankful while some still wanted to pursue their unsettled regrets which they are not able to achieved while they are young.
So, if one got bedridden and still positively looking at how life goes on. Within 3 - 6 months, they have 70% of recovery or can sustain up to another 8 years.
And, if one got bedridden and fills with negate emotion towards life. Usually if they can't recover at least sit up or stand up after 6 months they will still trying very hard for recovery. Not only that, at some point they themselves do unacceptable things to themselves (E.g. looking for witchcraft for healing, looking for patriarch faith for healing, crying over old foul regrets moment, hitting & shouting to the people closes to them who help bath them or fed them through the invasive tube as they can't swallow and cursing for a few years every night due to bedridden frustration).

Train your mind to think positive or think where you wanna to go for. And you shall be on your way. The chances is 50/50 because when a person got a stroke or brain been affected. They can't really control what are they thinking. If they are filled with negate throughout their lifestyle, that will likely be what they've became when they are bedridden with mental partially disabled. If they are filled with a common sense and joy experiencing life, usually they will go without much struggles.

  8. Sorry to hear about your situation.

Rule of thumb still apply: Stick with 6 months advance self notification alert prior inconvenient happen to any of us just like the way how international passport requirement.

Overstay for 2 days is similar to a grounded flight for 48 hours with an average space rental for a plane landed at the parking lot at USD200 per minute.

He's made a shedload of money from his Marvel character. Iron Man franchise is fiscally brilliant, and he carried it off with that American movie hutzpa (not saying I think it's great cinema).

To be precised, the producers and the business lawyers agency made shedload money. The actors and actress are just a distraction for the fans.

  10. Addiction to love = mental illness
Addiction to gambling or gaming = mental illness
Addiction to faith = mental illness
Addiction to religion = mental illness
Addiction to sexual enjoyment = mental illness
Addiction to physical exercise = mental illness
Addiction to money making = mental illness
Addiction to provide overwhelm information = mental illness

All addiction is mental illness. Either like it or dislike it.

I was down at Pattaya immigration and hadn’t bothered to do the TM 30 since being back in the country for 45 days.

The immigration woman asked me, and I told her I had been staying in a pHuket hotel the whole time (I lied) and I had just got back to Pattaya that morning. They can’t check it.

So my suggestion to anyone in the same boat is simply lie and say you were staying in a hotel in a different province.

    Too easy.

I feel you did stay in Phuket Hotel until in your own private reason and knowledge you cancelled your trip there. Thus, it would be hard to small other details why you physically decided not to stay there.???? On the other hand, there is no reason to explain too much as it will get the matter worsen due to language barrier and unforeseen event experienced by a person instead of the officer who just follow the book basic. As you said it, timing and convenience of checking it will killed everyone's time. That's how it should work in utilised as a valid reason for unnecessary argument or unnecessary unwanted fool-payment.

  12. If you could record a Vlog or blog the video how you would use the 10 Baht to make it into a nice looking ring with jewelry. I bet it could be rare and speculative.
Either you could be hate for destroying the image of the late respected King or the temple emblem. Or if you managed to save both images and place it back to the final product which is the ring in a special display. It probably worth more than 10 Baht as it have artistic and respectual value.

  13. That could be a traumatic experience. If you could share what you wear without showing your face. Maybe we would know why they approach you and advise on your appeal in future?

Sometimes it's either how your face look, sometimes it's how you wear and other times you just happened to be in their way of wealth scam.

Funny, I was always approached by people offering Happy Ending at those alley nearby. A few times I experienced 50% discount on a 4 hour long full body massage in Thailand. But rather than keep the change, I just gave it as a tip to the masseurs.
Other than that, I would dine in Muslim style restaurant despite I am not Muslim and Pattani descendant myself. At first the waitress and restaurant owner gave me a second look could be due to my yellow skin and I don't look like their race. But when the food arrive, to their surprised I dine like them and able to communicate their dialect which isn't my mother tongue at all due to my childhood experience with different region of Malay slang.
On the other hand, I happened to show the local Thai from different province how to take the train despite I spoke broken  and very little Thai as I travel to Thai once every 5 years.
I really have an unexpected life adventure in Thailand.

For the broken square wooden pole. I could suggest that you use a thick long PVC pipe to sleeved it in between (ensure it's longer in between the broken line in order to support the tension) and filled in the cement.

Alternatively you could heat up using burner to soften the PVC to grasp it onto the pole square shape and mould to shape it further cool it down using cold water to harden it back and you might need not to cement at all.

Sen could choose to fall into the IMF debt trap instead.  Same trap; different lenders.

Their mentality is about preservation of their basic business market knowledge so that only the VIP able to monopolise it all.

10 over years ago, Myanmar was having the same thing.
Only military and VIP link to government body are allow to have mobile phone.
Each mobile phone could price at a value of a new local import car.

  16. I had this ATM that link to Debit Card about a year ago. It was working good when I was at the crossborder of Singapore-West Malaysia & East Malaysia-Thailand. Until one fine day, it stopped working, I managed to call the bank wasting money on trunk call waiting the selection from auto-answering machine. Finally got myself a talking human on the line.

The answer given in the end was, "Sir, you will need to re-activate your card for overseas usage again".
I was like.....er.... I just used the card for withdrawal and purchase yesterday while I am in overseas?!?!?.... WTH!

He should sue the bank for services like this. Most of the banks are charging all kinda fees nowadays and legally stealing from people, most times without people even realizing it. The truth is that the banks are in bed with the government and although the government tells the banks to treat people fairly they continue to steal people money another type of scams. Poor guy.

Suing cost money and now he is sleeping with rats and learning to do Thai kitchen from scratch. Nobody is gonna go through that trouble unless they are earning US$50 per minute and prove it so.

Strange. I had this happen to me also. Bank card cancelled because the bank issued a new one.

One phone call, and my card was reactivated for one month, and needed re-activation every month.

    The technology is there....

It is a way the monetary body or that corporate banking controlling their fiat from freely flowing outward to another country.
Many have not have the knowledge how fiat control work. The money doesn't belong to you in reality. It belong to the country that you are born or citizenised.

Putting it this way, you are from where you are from. And they ain't gonna let you go easily. The origin country don't wanna lose their fiat value, they don't want their talent people ran away and most of all they are trying to protect you and themselves.

Always a good idea to have more than one source of cash.

This is in fact a very reliable advise and warning.
    Never rely on single source.
Many people have this so called habit and pride of something have been cultured within them. From life practise to extremist pride of being assured by some power.
I find their cultured being silly about putting the faith in believing from one single source, which previously keep on destroying them (commoners) again and again.

WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T PUT YOUR EGGS IN ONE SINGLE BASKET!
