I live in a spacious house, not a small concrete room or condo.  You probably live in a one-room box in Bangkok.

But do you have body odor though? many guys who resist the AC also stink

Do I stink?  Absolutely not!  I bathe twice a day, and, in fact, I am often told how nice I smell by both women and men.  Unlike many foreign males here, I am not overweight and I do not drink copious amounts of alcohol.  I also live in a house that I designed with double, insulated walls, high ceilings and an insulated roof.

Somehow I don't think that sort are interested in posting on AN, though the posts of some persons certainly provide the mother lode for a psychology thesis.

I'm more interested in the psychology of those on here with TDS and consumed with hatred for a man that they don't know. I mean they are so obsessed with him so much that they just can't stop writing about him, even on threads with absolutely nothing to do with him. I'm sure that sometimes we have entire pages that are solely about Trump. Even the media love Trump as they write so much about him. Sometimes it seems that the only game in media life is writing about Trump. For sure CNN need him given their apparent drop off in viewers after he lost the election.

If I were going to do a study on the psychological aspect of Trump mania, it would be on the use of psychology to try and destroy Trump's image, by the very subtle and clever propaganda that is utilised against him.

Luckily for Trump, he appears to have a very thick skin, or else he really is a narcissist and loves the attention, regardless of for or against. He certainly appears to thrive on it.

Thick skin?  Really?  He is an immature crybaby and resorts to name-calling and bullying every time anyone says anything about him that his tiny brain considers negative.  He is an extremely thin-skinned demented piece of excrement.

Many things can be true at the same time. No decent Thai man wants a woman with the scent of the sex trade.

Also, farangs are universally a laughing stock among Thai men, they can't believe who we wrestle with.

However, you made a different and more valid point. The arrival of the younger expatriate generation has increased competition for young Thai men. It's not unusual to see middle-class girls dating and marrying stable younger farangs. That is starting to annoy some younger Thai men as their general xenophobia mixes with sexual jealousy. All of these relationships that I am aware of are thriving. One friend has just given birth to her second baby, she lives near The Somme, France. I can't think of any relationships that have broken up but neither do I have a drone pursuing pals across the world.

So, no - Thai men are content to allow farangs wrestle with the sex trade "belle's"

And, yes - they don't like having their better ladies stolen away.

My Thai wife has never been a part of the sex trade.  In fact, She has never been in a bar in her life.  Most foreign men who are married to Thai women did not meet their wives in bars.  To assume so is insulting.

My son has just completed year 3 (Primary) at an English Program school and has a huge pile of course books and work books, both English and Thai.  Most have been written in, although some appear to be virtually unused.  He'll be getting new books when the new academic year starts in May.  I still have his books from P2 as well!

What do most parents do with them?  Just dump the whole lot in the bin?  Can they be recycled in any way?  Keep them for posterity?

Donate them to rural schools.  I am sure that you can find a Thai teacher to help you do this.  That is what I did with all of my son's books.  He graduated from high school in February and we donated the books that were useable (That had not been written in).

Another try at eyeglasses....The gal said she was an Optometrist who spent 5 years at a University in Bangkok. To my surprise she spoke ZERO English, which is shocking to me. If Thai was the international business language, I would speak it fluently. She had all the modern equipment so I felt confident that after 30 minutes of testing, she would be able to at least prepare a decent pair of glasses for the office only. Nope. I arrived today to try on my new eyeglasses that were so substandard I was shocked. Essilor which are my current lenses were purchased in Indonesia for less than half the price. I agreed on some locally made lenses and I was assured they were as good as Essilor. that were not much cheaper and they were so poor they were impossible to accept. 1000baht down the drain. May fly to Singapore to get some.

If you chose to live in Thailand then learn the Thai language.

  7. There are so many people who choose to live in Thailand who enjoy making mountains out of molehills.  More than thirty years ago when I still lived in the United States, I managed a very large food and drug store.  The store was open 24 hours a day.  Much of the restocking was done at night.  However, there was still quite a bit that was done during the day.  I never had any customer complaints about staff blocking aisles.  In fact, customers could always easily find staff on the sales floor if they needed any help.  There are many issues that are much more important to address.  Relax, calm down and enjoy the time you have left in your life.
