Since the Palestinian Nakba or Great Catastrophe over 70 years ago when the State of Israel was founded the rights of the indigenous Palestinian population of the area have been violently and aggressively destroyed by huge American financial and military aid. The Palestinians are kept in squalid conditions in Gaza which, according to the UN, will officially be uninhabitable within the decade. Aggressive imperialism grows apace on the West Bank as settlers routinely eject Palestinian communities. East Jerusalem is a similar case as Israel runs roughshod over Palestinian sensibilities. In the face of this tragedy western leaders wring their hands & kow tow to Israel & their US paymasters. The US are the problem, they can never be a part of the solution.

The beating I received was vicious beyond belief, wholly unexpected & out of character. Sure there had been extended verbal attacks which is why I had asked to leave. Deliberately targeting an already neurologicaly damaged head was way beyond the pale. I'm still having difficulty walking & it's six weeks on. I guess she thought if I can't have you I'll screw you up so badly no one else will either.

But generally the violence seems to contain an element of escalation, move on at the first sign of violence with no warning you're leaving works best for me. I can't believe the beating you recieved was the first incidence of violence she showed towards you. As for occupation, the schoolteacher gf appears to me to be every bit as potentially dangerous as the bar girl gf.
Strangely, there was no indication of physical violence at any time until that night. A lot of extended verbal attacks on my supposed unfaithfulness was the cause of the lock out. I guess in her twisted paranoid mind this proof positive there was another or several other women involved. Odd I was alone but I guess that means nothing to a crazed bg.

I now tell them right at the start, "if you're not home by dark, your stuff will be left in bin bags outside the locked front door".
Ha! A locked door didn't stop her any. I was worried for the front window too

A certain amount of 'eccentric' behaviour is always to be expected but I was shocked at the severity of the beating I received & then the indignance of being interviewed by the police. Working as cashier makes her immune I guess. The bar owner's backhanders see to that. As soon as I was off the danger list & shifted to Bangkok for medical repatriation the case was officially dropped. I was lucky I can still walk. One of the neurologists suggested I wouldn't be able to, that is Thai tact for you I guess.

Well here I am attempting to recover from having my already injured brain (tumour removed 15 years ago) literally kicked around the room by a bar girl following an 18 month long relationship. My 'crime' - any kind of interaction with any woman considered younger or more attractive than herself. The fact of her returning home at 6am out of her brains on several occasions obviously not being a factor in her eyes. Appeared genuinely aggrieved that the hospital had called the police while I was in intensive care for 5 days.

This input is anecdotal but I hope it is of use. I am now returning from the Thai Embassy in London having just been promised a year long visa with 90 days leave to remain. (Is this the O or the AO?) My strong suspicion is that even at consular level the decisions are very arbitary.
For what it's worth my advice is to email the documents you have & ask for advice. Follow up with a brief polite call.
The bad tempered woman at the desk made up something in order to deny me the visa. Then she went to have a brief chat with a colleague & decided I could have one after all. I assume my case had already been decided before I arrived as she didn't bother looking at half my evidence.
Were you duped by these fake coronavirus stories on Thai social media?

Can we have the King James version please? This modern twaddle lacks the archaic gravitas.
