They have just significantly reduced their pool of potential tourists.
They can't get out of their own way in their rush to completely destroy tourism in this country for the next five to ten years if not for good.
    Roadblock after roadblock after roadblock.

"Oh, tourist will come flocking back to Thailand!"
    Ahhhh, no.  They won't.

How much will it take for many people around this world, to accept, that presently greater number of Tourism simply cannot happen without bringing and spreading the virus with its variants of mutations into a country. See what happens all over Europe ????

Without doubt it will be years if ever again the world can open  to Mass Tourism as we knew prior to Covid-19.

    Please note:

Australia and New Zealand , which is practically "Covid-19" free, doesn't open up to Tourism either.

With threats like this you would think there would at least be a download link! How the <deleted> do you get this app?

Use Android store/Apple- if you have a Android/Apple OPS and you can type in your Apps name and down load it.

If you are totally computer illiterate, go to any server store AIS, DETACetc, Mobil phone repair shop and ask them to down load the App for you.

Learn how to use it once it is installed. It is our responsibility, each one of us, to assist the Authorities with these Apps to track down and try to prevent possible uncontrolled spreading of the virus.

Lockdowns are resulting of non compliance, see Europe, US etc..

    Enjoy your day????

Do you have some recent information on that?  As far as I know, none of the manufacturers have said that it does or does not protect from infection but all of them have said they are carrying out tests to establish that.

That information I got ca 1week ago by listening to the information on Radio in Europe, given by Epidemiologists from Switzerland and Germany.

However, in IMHO, my understanding is any vaccine only can come into activation once you bring the virus into your body, I would have thought ????.

And if your vaccine is per example rated as 75% efficacy you would still have 25% possible effect in getting sick from the virus. If it would give you a milder effect of the infection, I do not know.

At least if im vaccinated in the Usa with Moderna @96 % effectiveness i wont get infected by some thai on the airplane or in “so so covid free LOS”

Apparently the vaccine does not protect you from being infected, but it will be able to have your own immune system working/fesoonding in a manner that you will not get sick, or even die from the virus infection.

Thailand wait AstraZeneca vaccine get approval, coz Thailand can make that them self and it is cheap!

Yes that is fact that no tourist come there if need to go ASQ. Even im not coming back if have that sht! And i have 1 house and 1 apartment there + wife lol.

Australia just purchased millions of doses of that vaccine. It is even said, Astra Zeneca with 3 jabs is 100% protection.

Consider the hard line of the government to what tourists need to go through to get to Thailand it's hardly surprising...

    If they dropped those demands

I bet they would start counting by the millions...

I would have personally have been there already if not for the restrictions

Drop the querntine a those other difficulties a the tourist will coming no problems

Maybe you have not yet heard of Covid19 in this world?

  8. On my OA Visa, based on retirement, for my upcoming extension shortly, Immigration does require me to produce a health insurance certificate by an approved Thai health insurance company.

This requirement is in force already since end of October 2019.

I am happy to be corrected if I am wrong????

  9. Some people here in this forum seem to make fun or a joke out of this possible local Covid19 transmission recently here in Thailand.

I wish to make those people aware of the second wave in Melbourne Victoria Australia very recently , authorities failed to detect a major failure in their quarantine proceedures, resulting into a Stage 4 Lockdown for millions of people again. Additionally a massively prolonged State border closure to prevent the virus spreading into other States too. Hundreds of death with Covid19 recorded in Victoria. They are talking of some 100 billion dollars additional costs in their economy due to this latest Lockdown.

How would you feel being back in that scenario again?

Covid19 infections are not a joke, but utter disaster if not very quickly brought under control.

  10. Opening up borders to Tourists, now or even near future, inevitably will be bringing Covid-19 to Thailand again. Lockdowns again, paralyzing many businesses if not the whole country.

Look at Australia, Victoria, Second wave, lockdown Stage 4. Costing the country Billions of dollars ☝️

    Massive numbers of death!

Open the borders and you are inviting disaster.

Check out what's happening in Europe, no good.

I do applaud the Thailand Government, to keep this Kingdom Covid-19 free.

Untill we have an approved prevention of getting Covid-19, we can not travel, full stop.

  11. I have been living in a caravan (had very modern vans all the time) for 15 years, in Europe and Australia.

In Thailand my advise is no go.

Caravans need an infrastructure in a country, like water supply, power supply and also toilet disposal points.

Without these basic supports, caravaning is not an option.

The road conditions once you go off the super highway can be very challenging anywhere near mountain country too.

I truely think you better served with a tent instead.

Longterm caravaning requires a lot of support systems, repair places and part replacement is a given constant, and it's in relative costs only a little cheaper then living in a house, that is in western countries.
