Today I signed into MyGov as I normally do and then clicked on go to Centrelink and got a message saying access denied that I need to sign into MyGov. The thing is I am already signed in and can’t access the page in Centrelink that updates assets, I can view payments made to me without going to Centrelink as they show on MyGov.
The website now looks totally different from when I last logged on are other people having trouble accessing?Have Centrelink stuffed up.?

I have to get insurance and I was wondering if you could send me a link to LMG
I have to get a Type O-A visa extension in March for retirement at Jomtien Beach Immigration
Email this lady at LMG.
She is my contact there
She will send you through rates etc and payment methods.
The policy is virtually useless though.

Yeah, And Charge you a Small Fortune......I'm Sure The Government hospital would do Eye Screening at a Fraction of the cost....
3300baht in Bangkok hospital Udon and 1 hour 40minutes check everything just turn up
Nong Khai general get there at 7.00am and still 30 people in front of you, might get out about 2.00pm with a come back next week for another 7 hours, yes it’s heaps cheaper.
A few thousand baht to save your vision, you can ask for a referral at Bangkok hospital if you then don’t want to pay the 30k to 50k baht if you need some laser treatment and go to Nong Khai general.

You only need to prove the insurance when applying for a Thailand Pass and a check of it when the verity your covid 19 test was done.
Immigration does not check for the covid 19 insurance at any time.
Excellent, thank you so much.

Thanks for that my existing policy does include Covid but 440000baht is no where near US$20k.
So only 30 days insurance is all I need and no questions asked by immigration after first 90 day report and stay the remainder of my extension?

I recently got my O/A visa based on retirement extended for another year with multiple re-entry
I have a Thai insurance policy for the currently required 440000baht which is valid till March 2023.
My questions are.
Is my policy good enough to get through immigration when I return? If no do I require a policy stipulating US$50k or possibly US$25k if the government make a rumored change?
Is it possible to just get a policy to cover the amount required by the Thai government for example just for a week so I can get back in and then carry on living here?
Next year I will can the O/A when it’s expired by leaving and come back on a visa on arrival and just go get non O based on retirement.
Thanks

Hi Jim
Sorry I could not get back to you earlier I have been off the air.
I renewed the existing policy I had with LMG for a total sum of 440000 which also included cover for Covid-19 disease.
The cost was 7700baht.
It was accepted by Nong Khai immigration with no questions asked so my O/A visa was granted a one year extension from 02/03/2022.
LMG did over coverage for 3million baht and advised me to check with my local immigration office on their requirement I took a punt on only 440000baht which was duly accepted by the immigration officer.

Many people have only needed the 40/400k baht insurance to apply for their extension of a OA visa since the new requirements came out. Immigration have not changed the requirements yet since it doe not concern them now.
Perhaps show this info on the TGIA website. https://longstay.tgia.org/guidelineoa
Thanks for that I will print and take it with me just in case.

You will be applying for a extension of stay based upon retirement of the stay a OA visa allowed not a renewal of a OA visa.
Until September 1st of this year you will need the same 40k baht outpatient insurance and 400k baht of inpatient coverage.
You are correct, apologies.
My insurance company has quoted a 3million baht policy, I was under the impression that it was 400k until 1st September. In Thailand things change daily I just wondered if someone had renewed this month and what was accepted.
Maybe the insurance company is having a lend of me, a trip to immigration looks to be on the cards and even then you get different opinions.
The O/A I will let it expire when I do exit the country.

My O/A visa is up shortly, I know I can leave and come back and get a O visa.
HoweverI don’t want to leave the country yet, so if I do go and renew the O/A will the insurance amount be 400k or 3million.
Has anyone renewed this month and how much was the insurance requirement?

When I went to renew the Rego on the car they told me to go outside to a booth, no one there in the queue it took about 5 minutes to get a new sticker, very impressed, when I wanted to get a bank statement and letter for immigration it was almost an hour. Thailand hey.

Right I got the App to work by putting in a Thai ID number.
I can now make an appointment for a months time.
it tells me I need a Medical certificate issued upto a month before applying.
It also says to be there 30 minutes before your booked time and to wear long pants with grey shoes.
I can’t see myself buying a pair of grey shoes to wear one time I am sure Thai’s are not doing this, someone must be making some kind of joke.

Are you serious have you tried 13 zeros?
Think I will use wife’s ID.
-
Just been told by the wife I need to make an appointment using the land transport office app which is DLT Smart Queue. I downloaded the app onto my phone chose the English language option when it opened but it won’t let you enter your passport number so you can’t proceed to make an appointment. Has anyone else used it and is there a trick to using it?

My daughter in Oz had told me that I qualify to receive some monies from the government under the Banking and Financial Assistance from Government.
I queried what this was and she was very vague and just said I think it’s because your old.
I have no idea what this assistance is, I am aware of some $250 payments made to pensioners however know it’s not available to those residing overseas.
So the question is has anyone have any knowledge of this BFAG?

I would like to consult an eye specialist in the Nong Khai/Udon Thani area.
I have tried a local hospital who just advised me to apply eye drops.
I feel there is some other issue behind my problem.
Can anybody recommend a clinic or hospital with an eye specialist department

Don’t why they bother making road rules nobody takes any notice of them.
Having driven in so many countries, Thailand rates for me the worst country in the world to drive in.
Thai drivers the vast majority have no respect for other users, break road rules with impunity.
When I hear that the perpetrator of an accident has died I have no sympathy what so ever for him/her only the innocent he has maimed or murdered.
It happens a lot around here and I tell the missus not to go to the bomb of a murdering idiotic driver as he deserves no sending off.

Sorry if this is a stupid question. Can you take out the transformer completely and join the circuit wires to the wires from the 2 hole connector thing with a connector block and then use the 220V bulbs - or is there a safety issue?
Good question that is what I really want to know.

If I change 5 halogen GU5.3 220volt 50watt globes to GU5.3 220volt 5.5watt globes can I just push pins into the tiny socket that connects to globe and that’s it the lights work? Nothing else to do?
