I have contacted the Trendy building in Bangkok for an appointment regarding passport renewal . Tomorrow i will visit Siam commecial Bank to see if they can provide me with a bank statement with my Thai address in english . If i am succesful do i need to provide face recognition ? will my Thai driving licence photo be ok ? Thank you .

Today i visited Power Buy ,I am thinking about buying a new lap top . i was looking at Acer , then i noticed on some of the descriptions it said Windows Free ! , does that mean some of their computers will come with out Windows 11. or you have to pay extra for windows ?

Ok i understand i have been renewing for eleven years at Udon Thani , yes i stand corrected i do get a bank statement for a year and a letter as well when i come to think of it . my mistake to be honest i just go to Siam commercial and pay two hundred baht up date my pass book and just hand over documents to immigration .udon have always been no problem . It has been so straight forward and hassle free and i never really thought about it . Some times woodworker thank you yes i should be paying more attention .

I have used Udon immigration and never had problem ,i go to Siam commercial get one year bank statement (800000 bahts) deposit a thousand bahts into my pass book so that it is up dated .i not understand when you say getting another bank statement to gaurantee your pass book .?

Yes lemmings or zombies never question the media do as they say . Never need to think for your self they do it all for you . Yesterday i was in Tesco Lotus a lady had a problem paying with her phone , she gave the phone and details of her account to the cashier . The cashier looked at me smiled and rolled her eyes up wards .

I am pleased to hear i am not the only one to think this , also paying by phone or card means you not see the money going out of your account , you tend to spend more and get a shock when you get your bank statement ,

When ever i have a problem (not often) i visit my branch always very helpful . My last visit was to access my account on my new phone . Always frustrating trying to sort it out myself not worth the stress . if you visit you bank make sure you take you pass port with you .

Up date , Yesterday all my Apps transfered ok but Bangkok Bank would not let me login. I visited the bank today and it was a problem for two ladies to activate my account . They asked me a number of times to login in with my pin with out success., They then asked me to remove my face mask to compare my image on my passport. I think they may have thought i was an imposter and did not know the pin . Cut a long story short after twenty minutes and me counter signing a number of forms , we had success . so alls well that ends well . Many thanks for all your help and positve remarks .

Today i purchased a new Android phone (10,000 bahts ) the young lady transfered my old sim card to my new phone , Every thing ok Dee money not a problem , Bangkok bank needs my citizen id . or my account number and login pin number .or my debit card number .i tried these with out success so i will visit The Bank tomorrow . mtls2005 did make a good point about the sim card .my old phone i am still able to login into Bangkok Bank so that i will get sorted out tomorrow . Thank you for all the advice .

I would like to purchase a new Andriod phone . my worry is transfering my Banking App and Dee money , Will the shop transfer my Apps for me , (or is that unwise for security reasons ) Secondly could i just down the load Banking App and Dee money on my new phone and login in with my details ? i have looked on You Tube but i would describe my self as a Dinosaur when it comes to tech . I need to buy a new Acer lap top can any one in Udon Thani let me know a shop i could purchace from . I am confused because they will they have Thai key boards .? Also would like to buy with confidence that i am getting a good deal . I do not want the same experience when i brought my phone from AIS know one seemed to want to serve me .

Update on my on my licence . Today i went to the Transport building on the Khon Kean road . After completing the paper work ,i was sent to the second floor . where every thing was checked again (paper work passport) i was given the braking and colour blindness test all good . I was then told to wait, after forty minutesi was called to the desk and told i cannot have a new licence because i have not watched the safety film . I showed her the screen shot and photo copy of the test .she said no good out of date more than six months . I explained the appointment was made in Udon and the earliest appointment was today (April fools day) no good more than six months Mr John . i explained when the appointment was made you can see on the copy it was less than six months . sorry you have to come back monday to watch safety film . So back i go monday , i will let you know the result hopefully good news .Their way of thinking when you watch the film on line you have six months until it runs out , they do not take into account if you have to wait for an appointment and its pass the time limit .
