You are what you eat,  stay healthy guys.

  2.  One of the thing I avoid is OLD posts, I can't remember the last time I was ill don't take any meds last time I set foot in hospital/Dr's with exception of medicals for work was 25+ years  ago that was for prolapsed disc, I have a 9yo son who keeps me on my toes planing to see him complete his education.

I believe as long as you wake with a purpose in life you will maintain your your young thoughts.,

    Good point. A self-fulfilling prophecy.

Every time I look at the pricing of flights between Bangkok and Chiang Mai, I wonder why Thai even bothers, as their fares are so uncompetitive on their home turf.

Yet my daughter has booked flight LHR-BKK for January for less than 400GBP, I was quite surprised they were the best priced direct flight. Hope they don't crash as I paid.

  4. Basically I will need to check at immigration to identify what the stamp permits, I have a feeling it is, as you suggest, to allow time for me to leave. I think the best route is to apply on line in Singapore for a Non O based on family, I have used them before and find them very helpful and easy to deal with.

Thanks for the advice, much appreciated.

You can change the reason for your extension of stay to one based upon marriage.

Is the 18th when you current extension ends? If yes you will need a termination letter from your employer dated on or after the date you will apply for a new extension.

Do you currently have 400k baht in a Thai bank for at least 2 months or proof of 40k baht income.

Thank you for prompt response, The 18th Is the date stamped in my passport after the WP cancellation I assume this is the time allowed for me to get organised with new permission of stay/visa. The actual original B Visa has a Void stamp on it.

I have funds in Thai bank plus I have been paid well in excess  of 40K per month for the last 7 month plus there is on outstanding payment I am still awaiting, been promised for this week.

  6. Could I impose on the wisdom of you visa knowledgeable sages?

I have recently finished work and thus my WP has been cancelled, which in turn invalidates the extension for work, I have been given a stamp up until 18th Sept. I am married with a family, what are my options for renewing/extending permission of stay, do I have to leave and obtain a new visa or is there an option to make an extension application based on supporting a family, I have required funds?

    Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Avocado seedlings, not grafted, generally speaking, will flower and fruit after about 10 years.

Grafted avocado seedlings, in ideal conditions, will flower and fruit in as fast as three/ four years, Most will bear fruit regularly after five or six years.

Avocado trees need similar care to citrus.

In my experience the trees will prosper in partial shade rather then exposed to the afternoon sun.

If your grafted trees are healthy but very slow growing, the only option you have is to increase feeding and provide some afternoon shade. If possible.

Stay away from chemicals especially with young trees.

TPI makes a complete line of organic fertilizers including sprays and Humic acid for soil.

    https://www.tpipolene.co.th/en/bioorganics/plant/item/384-gro

Follow instructions including spraying once a week. It works.

Most professionals will recommend you do a soil test first to identify deficiencies.

    Best regards

I'm thinking to grow veggies using hydroponics.  I teach Science and part of the student curriculum that I recently covered was all about hydroponics.  Since I mainly eat fruit and veggies, it got me thinking to grow my own hydroponically (is that a real word - I suppose so!).

You could also look into Aquaponics where the fertilizer is derived from fish waste as opposed to synthetics as with Hydroponics. I fully intent to move to the land we have in Loei and set up the system there on 15 Rai which has two lakes and has had no chemical sprays used for the last 5 years except for maybe over-spray from neighbours. Just as soon as I can finish work here, but already into it from a distance. I currently wash/soak  everything in dilute vinegar.

As you can see from the replies sometimes it’s just as if they don’t want you to have it and create hurdles.

Soon the “ I got mine with a passport and 20 baht “ posters will be along to gloat !!

    I hate gloaters emoji35.pngemoji35.png

Unless it’s me gloating of course emoji51.png

They probably added the required envelope.
