If you arrive by land and are leaving by air can you organize to use the egates?
-
Has anyone received a phone call from them?
Would they be using the phone as identification seeing most countries require identification to buy a sim card?

I passed through a few days ago. There was no one selling food and drinks up on the new station.
Just a bottle of water would have been welcome.

I read where Cambodia has a CBDC called Bakong. Does anyone have more info on this and how it works as I am considering a move to Cambodia this year?
My limited knowledge of this is it is not a CBDC.

Why is there even a Cambodian forum as there are hardly any replies to the questions asked? Total waste of time.
Most questions are answered.
There just aren't the pointless posts that often appear in other forums.

I am doing a visa run by air via KL, I have 2 separate flights so I must fill the application. I am wondering what to put in the address section? I'll be in the airport for 4 hours so maybe the airport address or not applicable? Has anyone done this recently?
Isn't it just asking for email address?

USD280 is for a one year Extension of Stay which can be extended for ever.
There are also Extension of Stay for 3,6 and 9 months.
6,9,12 months are multiple entry.
It can take about 10 days to get the visa done. There is an express option for USD70. That'll be two days not counting the first and last day, so four days.

USD in perfect condition. Tens are best.
Otherwise have a very close look at any dollars you are given in change.
THB changed into riel maybe best option. I only use riel.
ATMs change Visa, MasterCard, etc.

If you are over 55 you need
A passport
A passport photo
About USD 280
Take them to an agent for example in Phnom Penh
Call Kim
Lucky
Marany
If you go to immigration yourself you will need to provide documents but save about USD100
You need to enter Cambodia on an E- class visa. You get 30 days. After about 3 weeks go to an agent.
They will organise everything.
Good idea to keep a photocopy of passport so you can move around to show at hotel check ins

What about Europeans who are not from one of the mentioned countries? Are we still allowed to visit Malaysia by just filling out the MDAC?
Yes.

Visa debit card is accepted.
Don't know who decides on exchange rate.
Visa is valid for one month. Can extend tourist visa for one month.

You don't get it and pay at the border. All your other questions should be answered here. Note the Name of Ports. E visa can't be used at every border entry.

Hi
I'm looking for a hotel buffet type place. Western and Thai food.
Not English fry up.
Somewhere central, between the train line and the river if possible.
Be passing through on someone's birthday.

Hi,
Just finalizing my plans to visit Angkor What from Bangkok with a party of 6 people.
From my brief research it is possible to get a train to the border and bus the rest of the way to Siam Rep. This sounds like the best option to me as it allows for scenic travel through Thailand via train, has anyone done this route who can confirm this is a good option.
I have looked at on line booking for train tickets and find the web page very difficult to use as it usually states “no trains available” so I will get tickets on the day at the station or perhaps via a booking agency at Kho San Rd., Anyone else find this with the online booking or is it just me?
Myself and my wife will get re-entry visas before setting out and our 4 guests will have visas on arrival, so I assume not worries for anyone getting back into Thailand, am I assuming right?
Thanks for any tips or pointers.
Mick
The train leaves from the old Bangkok station. Hua Lamphong
Buy ticket on the day. Morning and afternoon train.
Destination Ban Klong Luk not Aran.
Usually there is one carriage with soft seats.
Get e-visas for Cambodia.
With six people, worth taking share taxi from Poipet. Make sure the taxi driver you are dealing with is going to be the one driving and check out the taxi. Most are good now.
Signed up to use immigration autogates at KUL - Highly recommended if eligible
