Ubonjoe posted the update think yesterday, so yes it's true.
I also would like clarification to your question. Does it still mean covid extensions remain at MTT.
Still not clear.
But I *think* only people who would have used Counter J services would now return to Chaengwattana. Those people are extending an actual visa they have.
No change for Counter K folks. We continue going to MTT. We're just coasting on the Covid extensions.

With respect Rooster,
Fact: sugar is not a drug
Fact: sugar does not cause obesity
Fact: sugar does not cause diabetes.
When people talk about sugar making them fat, they are talking about chocolate (50% fat), ice cream (50% fat), doughnuts (50% fat). There's a clue in the name ... fat.
7 years ago Chef Jamie Oliver blamed sugar for childhood obesity. The UK government responded with a sugar tax on fizzy drinks. Counties who've adopted this nonsense have gotten fatter.
Why don't people get caught at customs with bags of sugar strapped to their body? Why is there not a 12 step program for sugar? Because it's NOT a drug. Coffee on the other hand is a neurotoxin. People who need coffee in the morning are often those avoiding carbs and scared of sugar. Why aren't people banging on about how bad coffee is for us?
Type 2 diabeties is cause by a high fatty diet.
Ha, ha, ha! You actually think dietary fats = body fat? I thought only children held that misconception.
Dietary fats, like all foods, are broken down into sugars, which is what the body uses for energy. When you take in more sugar than your body needs, the excess is stored as body fat. Some dietary fat contains high amounts of cholesterol, which can be converted to a type of body fat that likes to be stored in your arteries.
Dietary sugar comes in a number of types and forms. Complex sugar types are a bit better for you because your body has to work to break them down into the simple form your body needs for energy. The simple kind is available for the body's use immediately, so if you don't use it right away it is a fast transition to body fat. This is why is great to take a walk after meals.
Excess sugar intake IS directly related to obesity.
Too much sugar in the blood steam over time affects insulin levels with CAN lead to diabetes (if your genetic makeup is prone to it.)Now you know just a bit about dietary fats and sugars. Let's move on to your gross misconceptions about how much "fat" is contained in chocolate and ice cream...

How much I understand That when they think that foreigners think too much and are always looking for problems !
we are lucky enough to get CBD + THC which is clearly the best treatment for anybody who knows what he is doing, but you still find reasons to complain ?!!
I really dream that no more foreigners would be allowed in this country !!! I can't stand them anymore !!!!
Yes, you are right. We are lucky to have a controlled market open to us that's completely untrust-worthy but that maybe—maybe—allows us the possiblity of getting a product that's redily available the world over. So therefore we should all be happy with every single interaction, no matter what! What a complainer I am!

You can apply for a Covid extension, regardless of the basis of your previous permission to stay. Any visas you previously had are mostly irrelevant when applying for extensions, and they do not consider the basis of your permission to stay when you request certain kinds of extension (Covid extensions being a case in point).
Thanks Tim! Would my friend use the TM-7 form and apply at the K counter at MTT?

At this time you could apply for 60 day covid 19 extension on the day you formally cancel your current extension.
Hi ubonjoe, My friend is in a similar situation so I just wanted to clarify what you're saying on his behalf.
He entered Thailand in Sept. with a non-b obtained at the embassy in Mexico City. The extension runs until April 16. He would like to stay for two weeks after that to relax and say goodbye to his Thai friends.
Are you saying he can obtain a Covid extension on his non-b?
Thanks.

FYI: Sawasdee Clinic is not selling the government-made CBD oil at this time. And since the gov't is the only authorized maker, it's anyone's guess as to what Sawasdee is selling.
The counter staff were all very professional and super friendly and helpful, but the interaction with the doctor herself really felt like a con job.
Some of the labels of the products I was shown were clearly printed out of a desktop printer and simply taped onto the bottles—complete with misspellings. They didn't even have boxes for the products they were pushing—but the doctor showed me a made-up version of the government box—taped together like a C-plus high school project.
They gave me an initial sample mixed with menthol—menthol!—and had me put it up into my nose with my fingers. CBD oil in the nose! Obviously this was an attempt to convince me of the immediate effects I'll feel with their amazing, magical potion. Like I'm an idiot.
But fine, if I have to play along with the charade to get some CBD oil, I'll keep a straight face. At this point some older Thai man in regular casual office attire came in and sat down next to the doctor without any introduction. Just to watch?
So then I discover their two CBD options are both mixed with THC. I don't want THC. When asked, the doctor said the two CBD options are graded as "...like an 18% of CBD and 1% of THC vs. ...like a 20% and 3% mix".
But even better, the doctor recommended taking them BOTH, because "they work better when you mix them together." So wait, they're the same exact ingredients with only slightly different concentrations, yet they work better when take together?
They're the same price so common sense was telling me I should just buy the one with higher concentration (besides, the label looked more "real".) But she kept pushing her cheap home brew on me, insisting it is "more calming."
With the medical certificate I received, I could just send a Line message to them to have more product delivered to me, for what that's worth. But the certificate is only good for two months.
So this is what you get when you trek out to Sawasdee Clinic. Super nice, helpful folks. Little mini oasis of a clinic. But questionable sales job and even more questionable products. (Two days of usage and I haven't noticed anything with about 8 or 10 drops at a time.)

I can say from personal recent experience that Sawasdee Clinic is pushing some home-made whatever tincture in place of the GPO product they are supposed to be (only) selling. And the CBD products contains THC.

CBD oil is still in grey area here in Thailand
It's not grey at all. Go to one of the CBD/THC clinics, sit with the doc, get the certificate they issue for 250 or 500thb and buy whatever product they offer.
Now, whether or not what each clinic sells contains what it should IS a grey area, as it seems all the clinics are not always selling the government's product—which is supposedly the only legal product allowed to be sold.

OP asked a serious question. Why should he have to filter through all the silly chit-chat of everyone who have nothing better to do with their time and just want to offer their thoughts and comments on any topic under the sun? Why is it the poster's problem to have to deal with this on his post, in a forum that exists for a specific reason? He's trying to get some help, and he asked a clear, simple question. If people don't have any useful input and have nothing better to do with their time, maybe they should go to Facebook and troll people there.

Its the same with all consumer electronics, phones, PCs, laptops, fridges etc etc.
Not really much you or I can do about it....is there?
I think this is quite different as electronics can easily be resold and used for many years after their original purchase. Just throwing away electronics because you want the newest one is pretty damn irresponsible on a number of levels because there's second-hand markets for them.
Before shrugging and tossing yet another pile of plastic and steel and poisonous minerals into the landfill, I thought I'd check around and see if there's a way to allow them a longer life. Seems like not, but at least I made *some*effort.

I don't the OP's experience is a dual pricing issue. It's a scam issue. They tested you by upping the price once. Then when you agreed to it they saw they had a sucker (no offense) so they bumped the price again figuring you'll pay whatever.

I don't like to throw away things but summary: They are useless for almost anybody.
I put things like that into the garbage room near the actual garbage. I am sure one of the cleaners in the building will take them and maybe sell them for 50B or give them to somebody or whatever.
Good advice. It's a shame the companies don't reuse them. What a huge waste—financial and resource-wise. But that's Thailand I guess.

None of the home wi-fi service providers ask for their routers to be returned. My condo apartment has a pile of them from previous renters. Should I just toss them, or can they be donated? They're not even that old.

Department of Lands just replied to my Facebook message and recommended I call "1111", for what that'll be worth.

I had neighbours who fought , others who sang and fell blind drunk on the corridor floor. Another who brought back the worst type of street girls/ boys nearly every night and made a hell of a noise. But the icing on the cake was one morning I was awoken by a baby screaming crying, it went on for 20 mins, 6 in the morning I knocked on their door, no answer. It carried on pitifully until going on 6.30 ( office closed, guards sleeping and refuse anything anyway., then I heard them coming back,, foreigners , I said that the baby had been crying for nearly an hour and got a stream of abuse . Nothing was ever done , but the couple did move out soon after. Disgusting.
OMG, That sounds like a nightmare building you were in.

For the record, I'm not referring to people partying like adolescents with prostitutes as if they've never seen a willing sex partner before (although I know that describes many of the tourists nearby for sure), and I'm not a crazy farang scribbling notes as footsteps pass bye. My condo isn't some run-down hotel. Like many here, I'm just an adult with a day job and I think it's fairly reasonable to expect not be woken up regularly at 3 or 4am by slamming doors, shouting cell phone video calls, arguing couples, loud TVs or furniture scrapping across the floor. Once in a while, sure, but not every or every other night.
And protecting this expection is part of the job of the juristic office.
I appreciate your input, and don't disagree with you. But for now I'm hoping to live in the city AND find that peace & quiet at night I like, too.

Good luck had the same issue 2 years ago here in Pattaya was a bunch of Russians renting for 2 weeks then new people kept rotating every 2 weeks. Everyone of them were always making lots of noise. Reported them to the condo, they verified that they were short term did nothing, reported to immigration did nothing, reported to the police did nothing. I then made it a ritual to file a complaint at least 5 times a day with the condo after recording the noises. They had the owners soundproof the rooms which lowered the noise a little was 3 doors down from me and 6 doors down the other way. Still was an unacceptable amount of noise. I finally just moved into a house problem solved been here now for going on 2 years.
Amazing the owners made an effort to soundproof the room. That's impressive.
I know people live different lives and all, but it's incredible to me how many people make so much noise just being in their living areas—and are often so aggressively insistent that the world needs to accept it or they can go <deleted> themselves.

So this does NOT affect the counter K people, I take it. People riding the Covid extensions (whose actual visas or entry stamps expired months ago) continue going to MTT. I think this is correct.
