  1. Hi, I got in Thailand in mid November on a visa free 30 day, I extended my stay at the immigration office till mid January.  I know I can get another 30 days extension by asking for it, my question is about the whole covid 60 days extension... would it be better to ask for 60 days next time I go to the immigration office or should I stick to the 30 days ?

Maybe I got this all wrong, just looking for info, thanks.

  2. Finally got it, applied on the 2nd, received the Pass on Hotmail (went to junk) I had not received the confirmation.

Flight on the 15th (arrival the 17th)

Canadian Vaccine, no passport number on vaccine page, no nationality

    Canadian Insurance (Sunlife letter)

    Agoda Booking

5 Demands, 2 emails, the first demand got accepted as the next 4 was using gmail.

So the Smart Health Card Verifier reads my Canadian QR from the proof of vaccination. Shows name, birthday, vaccinations. Does that mean I should be automatically approved and receive my TP QR almost instantaneously? Given submitting everything correctly, cropping QR etc. of course.

Let me know if it does, I tried and it did not work, so far I only seen EU vaccination certificate getting auto accepted, I could be wrong but that has been my observation in the last few days.

So, if you were not lucky enough to receive a QR code via Test and Go, which of these would you do?

    A) Get a QR code via Alternative Quarantine; or

    B) cancel your bookings.

    B.  Screw Thailand, I have been waiting for 2 years to travel and if they pooped the bed, they will not see my money.  The amount of stress this process is creating is absurd.  I will not try again, they can forget it.  I will also do my best to dissuade anyone to travel there if they ask me about it.  Between their lack of communication, the bad programming, the terrible execution and the stress they create, they are NOT PREPARED and I will not encourage them.

    Can I just ask:

-- Thailand Pass approval gives you everything you need for entry, no need to do anything at the local consulate, correct?

-- Is Thailand Pass approval only good for a specific date, like the old COE? What is the window for entry?

1-Somewhat..you still need the PCR testing before leaving and in Thailand, the hotel will ask you questions.

2-Thailand pass ask you date of entry and exit... unsure if you can extend but probably, just gotta make sure your insurance will continue I guess.

mate this is a given for Thailand, it's how they do, so what's the point in constantly banging on about their shortcomings? if it's too hard, stay at home or go somewhere else.

mate, I done everything they ask for, is it too much to ask they get better at this?  I am a 40 years old with lots of travel experience, pretty tech savy and I find it difficult to navigate their system.  I could just shut up and eat it but I feel many people are in the same boat here.

You can be defeatist and say "oh well it is Thailand" but it is like the factory worker seeing a problem on the line and saying nothing, they need to Kaizen that <deleted>, not just accept to be mediocre.

IMPORTANT FOR EVERYONE. My boyfriend and I applied November 1 and yesterday, we received the confirmation mail but not the TP QR.  Today we re-registered and received the TP QR instantly. I think that today they are doing it automatically to correct the problems of the first days.

I sent it again today and I have not be approved instantly, just wanna pitch in here... (had to change flight)

  8. Traveling is already stressful, Thailand asks for us to jump hoops, we jump the hoops only to be met by a lackluster system of approval.  Sorry if this is nothing more than a rant but I have to get it off my chest.  They should have agents ready to help tourist to do the paperwork, they should have streamlined the system and allowed us to review our application once it is sent.  I had to change a flight, now I have to redo the whole application again, maybe it will take weeks before they iron out the system and we all have to make reservation BEFORE getting approved.  I kinda foresaw it so I booked only on the 15 of November to be on the safe side and I am still stressed about it... I cannot imagine if your flight is supposed to be in 2 days... Meds, house closing, baggage, PCR test, airport transportation... all of those are still things people have to do after getting approved....  What a bad system Thailand put forward here...

Okay, i went ahead and simply resubmitted using an old gMail address i had and BAM, it worked!  I would suggest anyone who used a hotmail account that didn't get confirmation to simply use a gMail or Yahoo address.  Now the waiting game starts.....

This is so concerning, I wonder if the problem is on Hotmail outright blocking or on TP system, whatever is the reason, I hope they figure it out because it creates a big freaking mess for everyone... having to resubmit and wondering if they will block one because it was already submitted... what a cluster <deleted>!

I have just applied for the Thailand pass and at the end I got the success message saying I would receive an email.

I use Hotmail and have not received an email as of yet, this was 4 hours ago, should I be concerned about this?

Thanks in advance for any replies

I am in the same boat... sent it around 2 hours ago, no confirmation... pretty worrisome.

Just received email with Thailand Pass approval and the QR code. It's 5:45pm here in London and I fly at 11:50am tomorrow. I applied as soon as the TP system went live yesterday (Mon 1st Nov) morning. I did already have a COE but it was one that said "no less than 7 days" quarantine on it with exceptions in smaller print below so it was a bit ambiguous and I was concerned the hotel might interpret it wrongly. Anyway, one less thing to worry about now the TP QR code has arrived.

What email provider do you use? Did you have passport number on your vaccination card?

  12. So, I sent it after receiving my insurance info.. will let you guys know if it worked..

    Quebec/Canada

    2 Pfizer,

Vaccine 1, sent QR code from 1 vaccine + Quebec QR code (it includes the 2 shots)

Vaccine 2, sent Vaccine handwritten paper + Canada Travel QR Code.

NO passport number, NO nationality on the documents, only birthdate

Agoda booking SHA+ Package (Holiday inn 11 Bangkok)

    Sunlife insurance, 3,000,000 CAD

Visited country in last 14 days : Canada and Switzerland

Used chrome in Incognito mode, 0 errors, got the green check, still no confirmation email.

    edit : hotmail

  13. This says it is the same as reservation number, I guess it is so the immigration can call the hotel and ask questions about your reservation if they need to verify or to call you.

Be sure to check the ASQ box, not the "other" on your thailand pass application as it is required (asq, alq or SHA hotel)

Thank you but I bought my night directly at the hotel by making a transfer to his thai account.
The only thing I have is a reservation number.
