I'm currently on a 30 day visa exempt extension here, Does anyone know if I'm able to travel to Cambodia to apply for a 60 or 90 day Thai visa or better still a 6 month ME visa?

Cheers Actually that might be an angle for me as I also have a new passport, maybe then they might overlook the no visa aspect as I’m still not sure if that’s going to be an issue ? -

Thanks for your detailed info, much appreciated..BUT…I’ve been back now for only 1 week and I’m planning to get a new Non O retirement visa down the road, as my previous Non OA expired in January, but for now I’m only on a 30 day visa exempt entry..SO..even though I have both licences still valid until Jan29 2022 will they grant me 5 year extensions if I’m not currently on a visa? -

Ok so I watched the 1 hour video and passed the test, downloaded my certificate, what’s next? Do I need to get another medical etc or do I just show up at any Land Transport Office and show my current licences? -
Can someone please advise what procedure they went through to do this? Also can I do it at any provincial Land Transport office?

How about Grab from the Hotel, any better fare wise? Or indeed are there better car ride mobs around nowadays?
-
Yes I'm familiar with that method but this time I have close to 40kg of luggage with me, so I might just get a Grab from Mo Chit or from my Hotel in Nana, it's been 2 years but last time I was there the Taxi Mafia were quoting obscene fares

Is this now a reality? if so how do I go about it please?
-
Yes, it seems the essentials are: All documents saved and sent as .jpg's, then submit using Mozilla Firefox web browser rather than Google Chrome, and only supply a Gmail email address for correspondence. Given that your documents are all correct you will get a speedy acceptance, from my personal experience

Slow indeed, as they are still hoping that ppl will take a 7 day package IMO. But it is impossible at this stage to find any site that publishes any Phuket Hotels offering the "Test & Go" deal. The bit that scares me is the transport to the Hotel and the ATK also being provided by the Hotel, I can just see the IO at the airport refusing my entry if that's not documented for me to show them. I'm not even thinking of going to Thailand until this mystery is cleared up

I have a 2011 Jazz with low km's bought 2nd hand from Expat Autos in CM, great car with an excellent engine and really versatile loading with the Magic Seats. The Mazda and Toyota are also solid Jap cars but not as unbreakable as the Honda IMO. Tip: Buy White and you'll sell it quickly when the time comes

Thailand announces reopening rules for tourism reboot

Long enough for them to know if you are Covid free apparently, as it's been 3 days since your last test. Most test results should be known within 8 hours so not sure where you get 2 nights from? Also the Sandbox is 2 PCR tests and 7 nights accom' pre booked, so this is better IMO -

Not in Australia re the OA, the 40/400k is now redundant, replaced by 3 million bht cover inclusive of Covid -
