  1. 1 word buddy.....GAZA ..... watch the BBC news occasionally. Not so much the Jews are at fault with this ongoing Genocide of innocent women, children and men, it's the Zionists led by the Butcher of Jerusalem Netanyahu
  2. Being an apologist to wrong just makes you wrong . Apathy, look it up bro
  3. Tim Newton on YouTube is my go to for Thai news, he's a gem compared to the Thaiger dribble, a former Thaiger boss but jumped ship wisely IMO
  4. I only hope when Move Forward Party does get in they will do a huge clean out of lazy, corrupt cops and focus on employing cops who will actually work to protect the Thai public. The whole current Police procedure manual can be torn up and they should get advisers in from Singapore, Australia etc to train them on how to run a Police Force that will work to bring down the hideous road toll
  5. Oh I get it, if you live here long enough you're entitled to be as uneducated and ignorant as the average Thai driver/rider .... Forgive me for trying to be sensible
  6. So you're a fan of the way things are ?? If so please seek help ASAP as you are a danger to law and order and the loss of innocent lives
  7. Target bad Thais you Xenophobes, start at the airport and arrest every cab driver trying to overcharge. You seriously are dipsticks trying to blame farang for every bad thing that happens, your Police force are up to the eyeballs in corruption and so are most of the Immi' cops, so clean up your own backyard before you endlessly blame farang for all the countries problems. The Chinese aren't fools they see whats wrong and thats why they stay away, fix it or fail.
  8. Wuhan Flu ? WTF! Incredibly disrespectful to those that died from COVID 19 and their families.....
  9. The Medieval rulers made sure the peasants were kept illiterate so as to avoid any potential uprisings. Education leads to intelligent thinking, which means people then understand the difference between good and proper government and corrupt, uncaring government
  10. Hmmm! that would be an interesting experiment for a bit of fun on a rainy day
  11. At the end of the day its all code and if theres good money to be made in breaking that code the dodgy dealers will hire the code breakers every time. A caring Government with an effective Police Force would fix it but we all know neither exist in LOS
  12. OK thanks, is that usually around 100,000 kms? and is it the same with a belt? any idea if theres a common place they will write it?
  13. 1/ It's fairly well known (I presume) that a lot of Thai car tents and dealers selling 2nd hand cars alter the Odometer (distance car has travelled) reading. I've been told by a farang who has been a dealer in the industry here a long time that the fee is about 300 bht for a uni student to plug his laptop into the cars electronics system (OBD) and adjust the vehicles (kilometers travelled) down (usually a lot). 2/ Ask for a log book of services and the common reply will be "oh sorry the book it get lost". (so refer to point 1 for understanding why it got lost) This is when the wise potential buyer walks away PS. I'm sure there are more that others can add and please do so, we need to unite against all these common scams
  14. An old Aussies opinion: Leo and Budweiser are both brown fizzy water. I'm on my 3rd try of Carabao Lager and give it a thumbs up, better flavor than Singha or Chang (to me) but still think Heineken is the best freely available here and for a treat I'll grab a Stella Artois 500ml can or 2.
  15. No I haven't yet made any decisions, just in research mode tbh. Correct me if I'm wrong but the monthly income stream thing, is that only based on a documented pension or annuity? or can I just arrange a monthly transfer from my savings account back home?
  16. Yes I picked up on that too, but more homework ahead as i need to be sure there are no hidden traps given how much better this deal is to many other OX offerings
  17. Considered that too, so I'm hunting now for an Aussie that has actually got this visa from Sydney so as to get it from the horses' mouth so to speak
  18. Nil chance of rejection, I've read the terms and can qualify easily on every level
  19. Thai interest rates will never ever be equal to Australia's, it will be at least 5 years before inflation is driven down in the West but even then Australia will offer at least 3x better interest than Thailand, currently its 13x
  20. It appears that every Embassy or Consulate offers a different version and the Thai version seems onerous for sure, same even with the Australian Canberra Embassy version, but the Sydney Consulate version appears to be a good deal from what I have seen so far
  21. I suspect that perhaps wires are getting crossed between the Canberra visas rules and the Sydney deal. Sydney makes no mention of baht anywhere that I can see
  22. ? I have not seen anything about a yearly requirement of 1.5 mill in a Thai Bank? at least not not with the OX from Sydney, they only state that the $150,000 must remain in the bank for the entire visa period
