Anything you eat should be washed because the chemicals which are sprayed onto the produce from Monsanto Chemicals. Rest assured Thailand allows chemicals without any control!

Your best option is to open a "Thai Bank" and deposit 800,000 baht in it and just call it "dead money" (ie do not touch).
As for retiring in Thailand it really does not matter where you stay as it is no longer a cheap place due to the strong baht.
Hospital costs are expensive too and same if not more than the USA!

I getting Pi--ed on how foreigners who i assume have a basic education can be so utterly "STUPID" TM30, TM47, TM7 and TM8 forms can all be completed by logging on with Internet Explorer! It's not "Rocket Science" The only thongs you have to have your documentation and passport photographs

If i read correctly you transfer 130,000 +/- Baht into your Thai Bank account! Somethink stinks here and if you have access to that amount of cash albeit from overseas i really cannot take onboard your post and also cannot understand why you do not keep 800k Thai baht in a Thai Bank. Sounds like money laundering to me!

As per the instructions on the immigration site yesterday was 15 days before my 90 days! which is again due on 26 September 2019.
I cannot progress and in fact have only had success once in 13 years attempted several time to complete form with ZERO progression.
Again today I attempted to report 90 days several times without success and this is NOW 14 days before due date.
It's is annoying and it is not possible to ask why.
It takes me over 2.5 hours one way or more depending on traffic to get to immigration here in Bangkok

Not an issue well it never use to be but assuming all the thai whisky Official's have consumed since 1979! No guarantee????

It's very sad and concerning that any nationalities that wish to visit Thailand can be considered better!
How can the Japanese be better than western companies!
They are NOT charities and come for the incentives they will get from the Government for providing jobs for National's.
Incentives may include free land and buildings, tax incentives etc etc.
When these incentives stop and the Government do not wish to give extension companies will just close and go elsewhere with even more incentives! Fact

Lets step back and look from outside the box. I was and still am receiving a small payment from the UK made in GBP. I use to receive 9,885.00 baht every month for quite some time. Two weeks ago i received less than 4,300 Baht...Mm work that one out!!
-
The sad truth it has not happened over night! The last time I checked it was 37 to GBP. This has the greatest effect on Thai farmers who basically cannot sell the produce overseas. I read that the baht is highest in 20+ years and the Government is expected to lose 66 billion baht this year alone....Something smells to me and for sure will only lead to further misery to Thai's and foreigners

You could give your heart and soul and the local community would not respect you for doing so. If you want to help maybe the village school needs better WCs or something else. The thai government seems to do minimum!
I once gave writing pads, pens and several football's to a local issan village school. I admit it felt good!
Do what makes you feel good. But remember to fill out TM30 and report every 90 day's or your be put in stocks and pelted with buffalo dung. Another new law for foreigners in Thailand i hear, Think it came out in 1666 at the same time as "Great fire of London" Really it's true read in Bangkok Post and The Nation!????????????

The "TM30" is not a real big issue just the normal Thai Government madness!
I was fined 800 Baht for not having reported in 11 years!.
Now the utter madness is I'm married to a Thai national and havr been living at the same "owned" address since 2008!
To that end i was also told i have to report each time i re-enter Thailand. "Really" I am a foreign from UK and live in my wife's house!
I really do feel like I'm treated as a criminal living in Thailand!
Report every 90 days, + TM30.
Thailand is NOT a land of smiles for foreigners any longer! Dam expensive too.
-
Really their is NO excuses for being an overstay and not knowing the Thai rules! The bottom line is that you are in the wrong! Sorry but you know the system and number 12, come on
-
No they should keep the TM30 or comingle with the TM6 entry card. Its totally unreasonable and unrealistic to have the house owner report their address each time entering Thailand afterall that's what the TM6 is for correct

Any bank globally will not admit to anyone or anything that it did anything wrong!

I'm British and even though I've 35 qualification years for a pension NOWAY does the some amount to 65,000 Baht per calendar month. Think i'm getting 37 Thai baht for each UK pounds Stirling... Who gets 65,000 Baht month for a pension? I don't have any clue because i do not!

Remember NOT a single thing is guaranteed in Thailand with regards to your PR which i understood was very difficult for a foreigner to obtain unless you are double rich
