When you are coming in to land in Bangkok I always ask for a fast track pass (if they don't give you first) so if there is a queue as more often than not there is at the immigration just proceed to the fast track and breeze through with the pass. From the time the door opens on the plane to the time I'm in the Taxi is normally 15 minutes as I only have hand luggage.
I am a gold card holder and have been for 3 years now and was upgraded to business on my way travel back to Thailand for one year and the travel from Bangkok to Dubai on the way back to work 6 times. This is the time of year the upgrades start to become more frequent with the holidays starting so fingers crossed for free upgrade this Thursday/Friday.
For me by far the best airline frequent flyer programm is Emirates and was previously with KLM and was Platinum with them I think I got about 5 free upgrades in 4 years but have lost count with Emirates.
You can also be upgraded on the plane I have been sitting in my seat when another passenger also has the same seat number, then I have the misfortune of having to gather my belongings to move up to Business class greeted with a nice glass of champagne.

I think you'll find that Nong Prue is in Pattaya some refer the area to East Pattaya or even the darkside so yes the story is relevant to Pattaya as it reaches out further than Sukhumvit. At this point its alleged rape and the victem has dissapeared, so no evidence to support the claim. who knows what happened before and if in deed it happened. yet anothe news story bring the place down and totally without proof. The headline Ladyboy raped is not substantioated in anyway. Raped in Pattaya but under Non Prue bridge, hardly what would be considered Pattaya but gets good newspaper headlines.

Its the same all over the world not just Thailand and not all women want that only the ones that are high maintenance. There are plenty Thai women who are happy with there Thai partners who earn however much they do likewise with Farang and Thai.
I also agree with rucus7 on what he thinks maybe it is just you.

Things would be easier if you had some local Thai that you can trust and it would also be a good idea to live in Thailand for a while to get to know what may work for you.
Your friends suggested 7-11 and you think they are experts please dont listen to them they obviously have no idea about investing money in Thailand that would be my first bit of advice. Second bit is to forget any business like you have mentioned as you will just lose all or most of your money you would be better off spending your money in GoGo bars least you would have more fun.wow...thanx for all the help guys...really appreciate it..
i have 3m Baht and there is no girl involve and those 2 friends that i have in thailand they are experts cos they are living there for 5 years now
could you give me more info about 7-11 plz thanx
info about me :
im iranian , 22 years old..my friends are 30-32 and i have lots of skills in computers and internet and pretty much every thing related to it,im a civil engineer and im constructing 8 buildings in iran now...
my friends are professional tour leaders
what about building houses is that a good idea?
If you want to stay here for a long period and have a good investment you need to look at different options.
i think your right... so what other options do i have.
i have a big constructing company in iran could i do my civil engineering there i mean could i build houses and other things?
btw i read all other topics about 7-11 they are not that bad tho
I have also looked at a 7-11 also but seems like to much hassle to me anyway but that is only my opinion. Maybe if your lucky someone on here will let you in on one of there secrets.
Good luck

I live in SaKaeo and the village is situated between Khao Chakan and Wang Nam Yen we are just 1km from the village we have a fantastic view of 2 mountains, but unfortunatly as I have just found out also an easy target for thiefs for the time being until I get that sorted which will be very soon.
I love life up country opposed to living in the City, I tend to get up about 6am go train in my gym right next to my house (if I not drink to much night before) while the Mrs sorts out her Pa's food for today he is 85 year old and stays with us. By 9am we are both eating breakfast and either going out for supplies (Beer) or if nothing much going on just relax or I tend to go for a ride on my bike around SaKaeo. By 5pm I have watered the garden and sit outside having a beer then some food and normally in bed by 8pm although not sleeping just watching TV normally dose off around 10pm and wake up 6am next morning.

Afterall this is Thailand of course there are going to be lots of Thais driving expensive cars. So how much are you looking at investing. There are a lot of Thais driving around in their 10 Million Baht Mercs...when in Rome......where do they invest?
-
I've been with my partner 8 years now and we get along very well, now stay up country after 6 years in the City and get along even better which for me is a good thing. I guess I have been lucky in meeting my Mrs.
Most of the bad ending relationships I've heard about is from a Farang losing eveything due his Mrs running off with a Thai man but you never get the full story as to why she might have done so as some Farangs tend to think its okay for them to go short time or have a mia noi and even more stupid to think that there Mrs will not know or find out.

Depends on two things firstly how long do you want the money to grow and do you need to use this money for your living costs, and secondly how much do you plan on investing.?

Thanks for the information its very much appreciated.

I got mine from Europa, quite a big MainDealer. They were always helpful and service guy was good.
My view would be get a premiun selection ... Buying elsewhere could be a bit risky.
You will loose a lot of money when you sell. I had a 520d from new. ... In five years lost a bomb. The new 3-series will crash 2nd hand prices.
I now have a top of the range truck and would never go back to a car again. Dont get treated as well though when I go to park at a good hotel though.......
If you buy get the diesel
Thanks for your reply JAS, I had a top of the range truck and now an SUV both Mitsubishi and also currently have a middle of the range toyota truck (for farm) but just fancy something different and I think I agree with you about buying from BMW would be best option due to the service history with the car.
I know I will lose money on the car but never keep anything more that 3 years before changing for something new and the loss on the second hand BMW does not look to bad if its something between 50-100k a year I could handle that as thats what I will be looking at losing from my SUV if and when I sell it.
How did you find the service centres?
-
Looking for some advice from BMW owers as I have been contemplating buying one of the following cars either a 320iSE, 325i,330i or a X3 I have been looking at cars from 2008-2011. The kind of car is not the advice I am looking for but in general what BMW service centres are like if there mechanics are well trained and capable of actually servicing or repairing the car.
Another thing I have been thinking about is where is best to buy from I have looked at the BMW Premium Selection which gives a one year warranty with the cars and they tend to be a bit more costly than buying from a dealer off one2car website which is also where BMW market there second hand cars.
I look forward to any input,
Dezy

If your looking at investing money don't bother with a bar in Pattaya unless you have a very good clientel but even then its pretty much non-profitable, bars open and close all the time in Pattaya as there are thousands all over.

Did you ever go get your Sak Yant?well yes, it was some years ago..

Hows your training going? Curious to know if your still going and how your getting on?

I would guess 2012 KAWAZAKI ZX14R means brand new, I live nearly 4 hours from Bangkok but still bought my bike there due to there reputation as being one of the best in Thailand which I'm sure would be backed up by majority of members. So the ZX 14 from Red Baron is a used bike? if you live in Bangkok it's fine but if you live elsewhere who will maintain it? I will definately be interested in a new one if Kawasaki start to stock them next year.
-
I doubt they would be selling this without the green book included in the price and I would get it serviced where I bought it.
Only 715k from Red Baron. While your bike is very nice, and yes I do like that model. There are lots of options for naked sportsbikes now.
What sets your z1000 apart from the many other Japanese and European nakeds and streefighters?
There might be better bikes, but I have the Z so it is the best in my opinion!! I hope they bring out the ZX 14 next here would love one of those Monsters.
If that price includes green book it's a great price, if no green book that will cost you between 80k and 100k, plus who would service it, Kawasaki would not as the mechanics would not have been trained!! someone will know the truth, a few yrs back I enquired about an import and was told the price is so and so with 80k on top for registration!!
Whats happened to these pages, why are they so wide, bloody annoying!!! grrrr

The only thing I am happy about is the fact it went to a fellow Scot.Yes Im very happy with it, I dont think I will change if for a few years
-
I thought the truck looked lovely.
Looks very much like my old one, I sold mine to a Scot well my Mrs did as I was away at the time.I bought it with 9000 km on the clock from a fellow Scot who was returning to the UK, Ive had it about 3years or so its a great truck, I did the wheels and had the wheel arches painted as I don't like the grey colour that comes standard.
I bought it from a guy out at SP5 Village East pattaya, well he was away and I dealt with his wife, really great buy
Sometimes wish I kept it.

Sak Yant
in Eastern Thailand
Posted
I think 4000 baht for a Sak Yant is a great price not sure where in the you come from but where I am from you would be lucky to get my name on my arm for that from a tattoo parlour and the fact the way the Yant is done is worth every baht. I am compairing that price to going to a ajarn privatley and not to a temple where 200 baht is enough but also the potential 4hour wait.
