Clearly the Thai p.m don’t get out much these days, maybe since the weed laws introduced he’s got his head in the clouds,. the recession is crippling the economy add the war between Russia Ukraine along with high cost of fuel and general living expenses then I’m predicting tourism will continue to struggle, here in the u.k travel being interrupted with copious amounts of flight cancellations simply because of staff shortages, worrying times for everybody unless your stinking rich. I’ve also had a few friends return home from Thailand within the last 18 months, guys who had businesses in Bangkok and pattaya - have since closed down simply because it was no longer viable without customers there’s not enough people arriving in Thailand and those that are travelling are only there for a short time whereas before people went for a few months, it’s not just tourism suffering it’s right across the board and in all walks of life. Just wish this Thai government would make a longterm plan rather than keep plucking figures out of the air which are unrealistic.
