He's not a victim here. He accepted to be in a relationship with her. And the woman is 31 years old, not 65. He just needs to break up with her. An actual break-up... Not trying to convince her to break-up.
-
Last thing, I would stop having sex with her or hide the condoms so she can't mess with them. Or wear condoms if she's on the pill. Unless you want to be baby-trapped. She knows you want to leave her now. And she looks quite attached to you. You would be surprised how common it is for women to mess with contraceptives to purposefully try to get pregnant (stopping the pill without telling the guy, for example).

You need to end the relationship. Not let her back into your place. Or if she's living with you, to give her a few days to pack her stuff. And also, if she is too old, why are you now a couple? That was partly your choice. Now you need to take responsibility of that choice. There is no gentle way to do a breakup. Don't tell her things like "you're too old." That will only rile her up and make her angry. If you give reasons, she'll try to find solutions. It's just over. End of the relationship. No discussion will convince her that dumping her is a good thing. You need to end the relationship if that is what you want.

Well there's your problem. Telling a woman she's too old. And also telling her to leave herself. Putting all to work on her to reject herself.

What does working with a visa agent look like?
ThLT replied to ThLT's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
OP is fairly well described. The topic is "What does working with a visa agent look like?"... not "why I personally think this sketchy thing of bank documents with money that doesn't belong to me is perfectly legal, and you should think like me about this." -

LOL. Yes, that's what I was suggesting. -

Why close the thread? Because of an off-topic discussion? Much better to stop the off-topic discussion. -

About the "bank statements with 80K, provided by an agent, is perfectly ethical and legal" discussion, it has been discussed a decent amount. It's also outside the topic of the thread. Please start a thread about it if you want to continue discussing this. -

It is an official bank statement, yes. But the money in that bank account doesn't belong to you. -

It's supposed to be your money in that bank account/statement. I get why many don't want to have their own money sitting in a Thai bank account, and rather have it somewhere else making them more money. But to say that this "technique" of bank statements provided by an agent, of money that doesn't belong to you, is 100% clean, normal and legal, ethical, and so on... is entirely false. C'mon. -
Thailand Pass - guide and how early can one apply?
ThLT replied to Brian K's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
In the news, it said it would probably be faster, now that the process was simpler and fewer documents needed to be checked. -

Question: with agents, if they say it will be possible to get a visa... and it turns out you get rejected and don't get the visa, what happens? Do you actually still have to pay? -
You say to ignore wrong answers, but then you give a wrong answer. There is a decent amount of office jobs for foreigners in Thailand, especially in Bangkok, and if you have experience in IT, for example (like the OP). Her wife is a psychologist, which means she has a Master's or Doctorate's degree in psychology. This will definitely be useful and will set her apart from the bunch of people with simply a Bachelor's in marketing, for example. Might even land her a position in a slightly better school and a slightly better salary.

Even if what you say were true, it's even more of a reason to have insurance. I don't know where you got the "not given definitive proof of COVID by doctors/hospitals," and "being quarantined just on suspicion of someone having the virus" (sounds a bit unrealistic). A PCR is extremely simple, inexpensive and also the minimum for someone to be quarantined. Why would they quarantine, or give medical care to someone, and not give a PCR test? Makes no sense. And the hospital has more interest in the tourist having insurance money, than not, and not being able to pay.

You could book a refundable flight. To apply for an April 28 or 29 arrival date, and then still use your Thailand Pass for May 2, with the new +7 or -7 days change. With the +7 or -7 change, it's expected people will have different flights than the initial one. I doubt you will get it in 35 hours. People exactly like you will be waiting on April 29 for the new system. Plus, you have to factor in the time staff of the Thailand Pass are sleeping/not working (different time zone). So it's more like a 10 hour window. Although, losing 10K baht might be better than being stuck at a Bangkok airport without a Thailand Pass. Anyway, good luck.

Visa exempt by flight after years in Thailand
ThLT replied to Lolothai's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You don't need to show bank statements for visa exemption. This is when you get a "visa exemption stamp" when entering without a visa. You might be asked to show 20K or equivalent in cash, but not bank statements. Single or Multi-Entry Tourist visa, obtained at an embassy, you probably have to show bank statements, with X amount of funds for your duration of travels. -
Trying to register for Thailand Pass for arrival after May 1
ThLT replied to beatlebones's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
There will be a surge the first week because everyone since the announcement will have been waiting to apply with the new system instead. -
Trying to register for Thailand Pass for arrival after May 1
ThLT replied to beatlebones's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
If you arrival is on May 4, this is risky. New Thailand Pass system is supposed to be faster, but there will probably be a surge of applications during the first days... from a bunch of people who have been waiting during the week before April 29... and probably bugs to fix. See this post: From this thread: -
Hey hav, Thailand Pass is valid +7 or -7 days of the date on the Thailand Pass (see news section, this was from a change a week ago). If you don't mind applying with the old system, and with the old requirements, your April 29 Thailand Pass, according to the new change, would be valid for your May 1st arrival.

It's to confirm vaccination status, and especially COVID insurance. What country wants tourists in hospitals due to COVID, half of them with no health insurance?
