I would suggest to all the other parties besides PPP to stop being so worried what PPP is doing or not doing and worry about your own partie -- It seems to me that they all are scared the PPP may win....!

Thank you all for the comments... It has been usefulll and also comforting to hear not to top. To come to find out it was not topping that he was talking about it is or was pruining to cause lateral growth, what I gather is that the trees are grwoing like weeds but with only the orginal branching from the sapling stage. They are growing straight up.
Thank you all again for the comments.

Great thread- short of time right now but when I have more than a minute will throw in my experience over my 60 rai of RT

THANK you all for the response. I wil double check to make sure actually means topping not cutting the side branches. I have ran several landscape companies and topping was used to promote lower growth or more branching, which would not be usefull in this case.

Question: My chap that takes care of my trees just told me he wants to "TOP" the trees since they have now reached 3 meters in height.
Has anyone heard of this? To me it just does not seem right; yes I think that it would encourage growth in regards to thickness in the trunk of the tree. Anyone that has advice please don't hesitate to reply.
Thanks in advance

Probable cause gives the police the authority to request and obtain a search warrant that is obtain from a judge. Evidence of a crime gives him authority to affect arrest.
I am all for legit laws being passed that protect citiizens from horrible crimes especially ones that might involve some freak that has a hang up about kiddy porn!

I'll bite....what's in the bottles that 6 litres will magically treat 40 rai.
40 rai is 64,000 square metres and 6 litres is 6000 millilitres...that comes out to about 94 microlitres per square metre!!!! If rubber trees are planted on a 3 metre square grid that comes to about 850 microlitres per tree (almost one millilitre per tree).....that must be some strong stuff....or.....what the heck is it anyway?
Chownah
Chownah-- DID YOU EVER THINK THAT I AM ASKING FOR ADVICE BECAUSE I DON'T BELIEVE IN WHAT I AM CURRENTLY USEING!!! AND AS I SAID BEFORE WE ARE MIXING ONE BOTTLE TO ONE TANK ON THE BACK PACK SPRAYER AND APPLYING STRAIGHT TO THE SOIL AROUND THE TREE.
-
buriramboy- thanks for the reply could you also ask what is the percent for expample 15 -15-15 or 7-15-30 etc. Also thai person might say something like "buey kim" . and about how much did you apply.
On my place right now we have been using a liquid fertilzer takes about 6 bottles to treat 40 rai the bottle are small about a liter and we mix one bottle to one tank water for the backpack sprayer. each bottle cost 160 baht. we have been applying once a month and the same day turn on the drip lines.
once again thanks all

Quick question for the Rubber tree guys out there, what type of fertilizer is every one applying on trees that are younger than 1 year. How often do you apply and what are the approximate cost.
thank you in advance.

Great posts
I myself have 40 rai in rubber trees. I put them in the ground a little more than 6 months ago. this season will plant another 10 rai. as most people know that the rains came late last year so lost about 20 percent of the saplings right off the get go even after i did my best at getting them water. now have drip lines on all the trees. I soon remembered why I left the dry lands of North Dakota! Flash Back to the days of worry. I have learned to take any profit number a Thai tells me and cut it by 75 % that's right 75% I am not saying anything negative about Thais to be real honest most of them are talking about something they have not witnessed their self! Kind of like fishing stories! fish just keeps getting bigger and bigger
From the research that i have done between 200 kg and 250 kg and month per a rai is real close to the honest amount. Will i get rich off of 40 Rai not even close could i survive yep because i am bill free except for elec and water. I am also in the position that the wife is there and I am here(Kuwait).
I forsee in the year 2012 I might start tapping the trees.
I also plan on other projects -- Free range chickens- veggies or other cash crops already doing the fish thing-- even thought about an good old big screened having sports bar with smoking hotwings! and for the folks out there that understand Thai by my name on here they have already figured out my hobby and passion just might be spelled a little more like gai-chone or dee gai. Any how since i come from a wheat farming back ground(ran a few cows also) I know that sometimes the lottery is a little more sure than farming! Best luck to all and hope that all are successfull in their adventures

Thanks all for the reply-
What i have heard not sure if this is true or not" there is three sexes of papaya --male long and slinder female fat and big and a unisex which is the smaller kind of semi round shapped." seeds fromt the fruit can produce all three types of sexes that is what i have been told .. the unisex does not produce any seeds
does this sound right to all?
