One of the advantages of a negotiated settlement with the EU is that the transition is managed, both in terms of the divorce settlement and future trade agreement. No-deal flying over the cliff not only fails on both accounts but leaves both hanging in the air unresolved. Having a shambles at the ports would just be the beginning of the nonsense. All members of the EU enter into contractual responsibility for their share of commitments entered into going forward and leaving prior to agreed commitments does not void those commitments particularly if transition arrangements have not been agreed. Nothing to stop the UK effectively defaulting on its prior commitments which it is threatening to do, but the implications for contractual liability in the future will suffer from the bad overhang and suffer a negative expense. The implied small print of what it means to take on contractual obligations will quickly assume large print consequences, but since the average Brexiteer is economically illiterate, the cult will simply not care. Down is up.

I was wondering.
If half the UK voted brexit, there sure must be someone that does not belong to the (extreme) right, that wanted brexit?
I would like to hear his arguments for brexit. I would be very interested.
Or is brexit, and especially this tread, taken over by the (extreme) right?
"Extreme right" far from it,just middle of the road.
UK is going, no two ways on that, out of EU cannot be stopped, extreme left may try,but will fail
Aliens,or will be after 31 October will have to leave the UK pretty smartish, put up the buntings no more dictatorship from EU
Visa issues will have to be addressed pretty quickly too,British embassies will have required documentation, but first come, first served will be in evidence, better to start queuing now

Parliament has already legislated that he cannot do this without their approval.
johnson and his minority no dealer chums in govt no longer control the legislative process surrounding brexit.
oh yes they do,and just see how they do it. Not kept up with up coming events,no worries, definitely out 31 October, all in hand.
just an advisory , the letter to quit the UK will have to be observed, and quickly I add,or will make any application for UK visa virtually impossible.
The Japanese will flock back to UK under new manufacturing rules being introduced lol

No excuse for racism by anyone; but a little bit of research will show that it is more prevalent amongst Brexiteers than amongst Remainers.
So what,so damned what? give me the badge and Ill wear it with pride. Are you so small minded that you think accusing anybody of racism is worth a fig. get over yourself,it means absolutely nothing, nothing at all,in fact its laughable

Yes, based upon the promises of Cummings and co; promises which have since been shown to be false.
We still could have had a Brexit which incorporated most of those promises, though; only Parliament voted it down.
As our elected representatives can't or won't make the decision on what sort of Brexit we have, or even if we should have one at all; let us do it.
Why are you against giving us the people the final, legally binding say in the most democratic way possible?
Because we have already had one DUH

Ah! still talking the talk, Brexit was immigration control, added to by NDs. Well its more than definitely being delivered on time, just forty odd days left, delivered automatically.
I think the Spanish have the best benefit system, one year and that is it,make your own way after that, yes agree anyone wanting more should be booted,France is a good place to start,or even better eire, what a perfect solution

Just have to carry on as before,no UK though, but there will not be any EU for much longer either.
Was always Germany,Germany dominated the EU,operated and manufactured under a cheap currency (for them) if operating under D. Mark, just like Thailand stymied. Finished now,but admit it,Boris was and is truly wonderful, delivering us from that monster ,the EU
