Pretty sure it will... but I certainly agree and am confused by the daily infections and deaths from Covid in the UK compared to France.
What's confusing about it?
The UK tests more so they find more cases.. Or false positives.

I had pretty much written Thailand off as a travel destination for the foreseeable future. But with the sandbox regulations slackening with regards to non jabbed foreigners like myself, and my planned semi retirement date looming, I have found myself mulling over being able to pull another trip out of the bag.
Obviously I wouldn't book anything untill the bars and entertainment are reopened, but it's certainly looking better.
In my personal opinion Thailand shot itself in the foot a bit by closing its borders for so long. Or rather in waiting so long to get its at risk people jabbed. Covid is going to work its way through a population whatever you do. But it's that spread that leads to immunity. I see the jabs as being useful only for personal protection.
On another note I have to agree with some of the above comments about people finding new pastures to graze. Thailand was the goto destination for young people heading off to travel. Now I'm seeing mates who's kids are starting to get their first backpack, and in my town at least they all seem to be heading for Mexico.
Thailand really needs to get its act together because this generation of backpackers are the tourists of the future. If they don't come in their youth and build great memories they are less likely to come in later years as returning more affluent tourists.

And yet you falsely criticized the FDA approved vaccines on the grounds that some clinical trials were skipped? Because the FDA's approval doesn't matter to you? I can't speak as to how you personally feel about it, but the FDA's emergency approval of the vaccinek certainly mattered to your argument,
Find me a post where I've criticised the fda please.
I'm sorry you've been a victim in all of this. I bear you no animosity.

Even if your assertion were correct, I guess that once the FDA gives a vaccine full approval, that means it will have your support?
What the fda do, matters little to me.

That's a slight misunderstanding. They go to jail because of the risk they expose others to, same as drunk drivers. Do you think that it is draconian that drunk drivers go to jail?
I'll see your drunk driver, and raise you a drunk child rapist.

I'm not going to go round in circles with this.
I've always been pro choice, if you want this injection go ahead it's your right.
If you don't want it fine, that's also your right.
Just make an informed decision.

What vaccines in history have had negative long-term side effects?
Id hope the trails have picked up any long term issues before they are released to the masses.
The swine flu jab got pulled back for negative effects. But I don't know any details sorry.

Got it? Don't post misinformation.
What part of its not passed all trials don't you get geff?
The very fact that it's passed for emergency use means it's skipped some trials. There is no long term data on its side effects or indeed effectiveness.
You are the one spreading misinformation.

The vaxxed shed for a shorter time though. Take your chances with covid. Up to you. Because you will eventually be infected. I can assure you of that.
Pretty sure I've already had it, last trip to Thailand was november/December 2019.
Was coughing my lungs up on the flight home(apologies if you were sat next to me) I did think it was the usual too many cigs and air con cough. But then my asthma was off the charts for a fortnight, and I managed to give it to mother and sister, and some people at work.
So I'm immune now ????????

That is absolutely wrong. Vaxxed are far less likely to spread the virus.
And the vaccine isn't experimental. Don't post misinformation. Full FDA approval is expected very soon .
If its expected very soon then it doesn't have it now, does it.

If there's been one great social/cultural movement over the last 18 months in Western countries it's the weakening of exaggerated individualism.
A pandemic is like wartime: Individual rights get sacrificed for the common good. Get used to it
Latest scientific research says that vaxed or unvaxed a person is just as likely to be contagious. Same viral load.
For the record I'm in the UK and have said.. No thanks to the experimental injection.
When or if its passes all clinical trials I shall probably get it.

I need to comply?
Surely the whole point of a forum is to air different views and ideas.

We can eather just all be forced to appear to think the same.
Or we can embrace free speach.
It's not hard to see which side this forum is on.

Personally I'm quite anti tree. Drove into one once.. That wasn't a great night. Leaves on your car in autumn. They are noisey in the wind. Not to mention that you can have a really picturesque view totally ruined by a few thoughtlessly placed trees.

Hi. I'm kind of new to this forum but not to forum life as it were.
I'm reticent to post here given that I can be seen as.. Controversial, argumentative, hard work, ect.
I. Have looked honestly I have but is there an area here where more honest opinions can be posted. I'm not really one for toeing the line so to speak.
Thanks awfully. X

hi all. im new to the forum but not to Asia first trip to Thailand was at age 21 as a back packer, that was 31 years ago.
in the past 10 years I've visited Asia as a tourist most uk winters for 3 or 4 week trips. thailand is my main destination as i find it to be very easy to get around and i'm cumfy with how things tend to operate here. I've mixed it up a bit over the past decade with trips to Cambodia, Nam and Malaysia. however this winter i have my 3 week trip all planned out bkk, pattaya, koh larn.
Now i'm not a big spender, i'm from north of England and we are not known for throwing money about, but the state of the GBP v's the Thai baht is starting to get beyond a joke as will be obvious to many here already. Where as few years back i could quite happily budget £50 per day and pay my accommodation out of that and still have a great time throw in a £500 flight and ive got a nice 3 week holiday for £1500 ish.
last years trip it was 42 to the £ at the moment its about 37 with brexit still to happen and all the entails.
I'd have cancelled the trip for this year but ive already bought the flight and booked my hotels, luckily only my first night in bkk is actually paid for the rest i can cancel at no cost.
im willing to live with the bhat being as low as 35 but any lower than that and ill have to re organize and hop to another country, obviously the weak gbp will follow me everywhere i go but the added strength of the baht and the inflation rate in Thailand makes it a worse option for me. This isnt aimed at expats already here in Thailand my heart goes out to those already having to up sticks and move or return home.
I'm wondering how many others are in a similar boat with trips half booked and the realisation that you might have to make some changes.
how low can you stand the baht to be before you cancel or re plan?
