"The People’s Safety Foundation has made an appeal to the government".

This "Foundation" should me made aware that the 'Thai people' are very happy with the way things are here.

And that they will fight against any attempts for changes.

And the Thai people will win.

    Compulsory wearing of helmets: 'No'.

    Speed limits: 'No'.

    Stopping at red lights: 'No'

Stop illegally using a phone while driving: 'No'

Stop illegally crossing over double lines on the roads' 'No"

Respecting double lines on the roads: 'No'.

Stop illegally passing cars on the roads: 'No'

    Stop driving against traffic: 'No'.

The main problem is that people here do not have fear on the roads. None. So what would be the reason for any changes.

Passengers on motorbikes, are totally oblivious to the way the drivers go at high speed zigzagging between vehicles. They show absolutely no fear, eyes looking straight down on their mobiles, trying to get the latest gossip on their favorite site...

But then, I suppose that this Foundation has to emit some kind of narrative, to justify its existence...

If you look more in details, you will also find out that many visitors to the country adopt the same attitude with regard to driving behiaviour... Something to do with the food?? , the wether??, ....

Thailand’s Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin has invited Russian President Vladimir Putin to visit Thailand to strengthen the two countries’ ties.

Srettha said he extended the invitation to the Russian president during their meeting in Beijing on Tuesday. It was the first meeting between the two leaders who are in China to attend an international forum on the Belt and Road initiative.

“I asked Russia to promote mutual trade in agricultural commodities and increase investments in Thailand. I also invited President Putin to visit Thailand to strengthen our relations,” Srettha said in a post on X social media platform.

Srettha also noted that more than one million Russians have visited Thailand this year and his Cabinet recently approved an extension of the period of visa-free stay for Russian tourists from 30 days to 90 days.

Move Forward party leader Pita Limjaroenrat said today (Saturday) that he is ready to step aside and let the Pheu Thai party take the lead in forming the next government, if his party fails, after trying their utmost, to get him selected as prime minister or to amend the Constitution to clip senators’ wings.

In the meantime, he urged the Thai people to join him in a nation-wide campaign to win over the hearts and minds of the senators, so they support his prime ministerial candidacy or the Move Forward Party’s constitutional amendment bill, to strip senators of their power to select the prime minister.

Pita insists on the party’s obligation to the people to form the government, noting that there is not much time and Thailand cannot move forward without a government.

I hope he do not compromise and do not give up on the main policies he pledges. That make him win the majority vote. Better to not become be prime minister rather than compromise on what is so badly needed to be changed in Thailand. Then let's see how it develop and how happy the peoples will be to be once again denied of their choice

The stupidity is unlimited in Thailand....The EC think they are smart by waiting till the day before the PM election to decide... But they don't have a clue about the reactions...As I said earlier this week tomorrow 13th July PM elections but the 14th of July France National Holiday... Thailand will follow soon

Oh yes, that's correct. Thailand and France have already many things in common, country size, population size, renowed cuisine, popular tourist destination....

Wont make a hiccup at all, as no one will even know, as its included in the ticket, same as the departure tax has been for decades

So buying a fly tocket will require you show if you are work permit holder???
They were no such things as departure tax. It was airport tax paid at departue, and it applied to everybdody, no waiver. Today, as in most countrries, this airport tax is inside the fly ticket, yes but that tourist tax... I would love to see how they will implement that.
But sure, better tax the tourist....
