  1. Yes eventually, I would have to transfer the 400k to my bank account and wait the 2-3 months, so no immediately in any case
  2. I was on a spouse extension visa and I am now in the UK. To cut a long story short, I didn't get a re-entry permit before leaving Thailand. I now have 8 days until I hopefully fly back to Thailand (flight booked), but with apparently no visa in my passport. Is there enough time to get a 60 day tourist visa? Or any other options available to me? Thank you for your continual help, this forum really is a continual life saver!
  3. I successfully submitted my Thailand travel pass, with 9 days until my flight. However, I now see Sha+ hotels that are £100 cheaper than the one I booked (that is cancellable). Is it possible/worth to cancel the current hotel and book another one, and resubmit the Thai pass info ? (or is this more bother than it's worth)
  4. Hello, Much appreciate if anyone could answer any of the following questions on returning to Thailand from the UK: 1. I have started filling out the new Thailand pass ( https://tp.consular.go.th/en/registration ), it looks like I have to buy accommodation and a flight before I can complete the registration, is this the case? 2. I plan to travel with Finair with a transit stop in Finland, is this okay and uncomplicated? 3. I returned from Italy to the UK 4 days ago, will this be an issue? do they question where I have recently been? Kr, Joe
  5. Hi Ubonjoe, Thank you for your prompt reply. I was/am hoping this is the case, and that the London embassy site has misinterpreted it, as they have rewritten it as "21 days in the UK" (screenshot attached) - which would be a very restricting/strange rule... For example I plan to layover in Finland on the way to bkk (another approved country). Hopefully it will become clearer on Mon Nov 1st Thanks again Joe
  6. Hello All, I need to return to Thailand ASAP, but had been holding out for the Nov 1st scheme, via 1 day in BKK Hotel. I arrived back from a 5 day holiday to Italy on Oct 28th, and have just checked the London Thai visa immigration site and it clearly states "applicants must stay in UK for 21 consecutive days before departure" - for the Nov 1st scheme. (I have a small passport visa stamp from Italy :(. ) (I thought they were either scrapping this rule, or it was 21 days in any of the approved countries - Italy included, which their strange wording suggested) I am now in a pickle as what to do... My wife is not going to be happy!! If anyone has any suggestions it would be much appreciated, e.g. I could potentially go through the phuket sandbox program if this rule doesn't apply for that, but would rather not if possible... The 21 days seems quite excessive.. Thanks in advance, Joe
  7. Hi All, thanks in advance. I'm hoping to return to BKK via phuket sandbox in 3 weeks from the UK. However I am hoping to go to Italy next week, for 1 week, then returning to the UK for one week before departing to Sandbox. However it states that you must be in the country of departure for 21 days before flying to Phuket, which would mean if I have an Italian stamp in my passport I would not be eligible. Is this the case?? The wording for the rule varies on different sites, and is as follows on the official site: "Must travel from countries listed by TAT, and must have stayed in those countries for at least 21 days prior to departure" -which is kind of suggesting that as long as they're TAT approved I can stay in any of the countries 21 days before (this doesn't seem to be suggested on other sites) Hope my query makes sense, and any info is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Joe
  8. My company is AIA, sorry for the slow reply, but it is my third year using them, so might have got cheaper for me
  9. Hello, I'm just getting myself together to return to Thailand. If anyone has any information on the following it would be greatly appreciated. (I am on a spouse visa expiring next July) 1. I have been quoted from a Thai insurance company for one year insurance 21,000 baht. (up to 5million bahr cover and covid cover), does this seem like a sensible choice? (it is a renewal and upgrade from my last year's cover to reach the $100k requirement). 2. I assume I am not eligible for normal 'travel insurance' from a European company, which would be much cheaper, as I am not a 'tourist', but if I am it would be good to know? 3. Is there anything else I may be overlooking in my situation ? Thank you, Joe
