Maybe someone can help me with a matter that has been puzzling me for years. In Thailand, I'd estimate that 70% or more women with their first initial 'O' or 'U' is overweight.
This is much higher than that of other initials. Is there any reason for this?
There is a higher proportion of beautiful ones with 'S' and 'T' . 'J' 'K' are pretty normal.
Any comments?
do you have alot of time on your hand
On the other hand.

At least Admin3 has a sense of humour though

Do you dispute a country's right to bar foriegn felons etc from their soil? I know it may suck for people that screwed up in a minor way <or what is now seen as a minor way> in the past, but personally I am in favor of telling people that ~you screwed up and commited a felony and we don't want to take a risk with you!~.
There will always be countries that just don't care, or value any FX more than the potential liability involved in letting known criminals into their country, That is their decision! I think this has great potential to be a good thing!
Remember YOU would be classed as a criminal in both India and China.
Would that be ok too?

This will be my last post here, from now on i shall only post in Bedlam and the Football forum.
So say goodbye to Lacoste, most of you are good people but there are a few people who need to go back to wearing dypers, i wont name them but im sure you can guess who they are.
Well im off to have a beer, i usualy drink JD but i have found it a little bitter in Thailand so will stick to a more pleasant brew.
Cheers. Respect and good luck to all.

i got mine done by a lovely ladyboy the other week, and she shaved them! my goodness! (funny thing is i let her do it - ive been here way way too long i think)
SHAVED??? Not sure where I read this before, but I heard that eyebrows once shaved won't grow back. Is it true?
Guardian
If that was true most Thai men would be walking around without eyebrows, so no it is not true.

I have lived here for a while now and i frequently wear shorts in the city. We aren't in a muslim country so please explain to me why i shouldn't rather than saying shorts are a NO NO.
I wouldnt wear a sleeveless shirt outside in any country though.
Live here a while longer, get to know the people and you might start to understand
Yes Thai(s) really don't care, we are farang so doesnt make a whole lot of difference.
Typical attitude of a Farang who only visits Bangkok and does not live and work in the city.
Quite a clueless statement from a guy who visits regular.

I would avoid Pattaya at all costs, come to Bangkok then travel on to somewhere nice like Krabi.

If you are serious, you need to grow a spine...
<deleted>. - quoting from another one of your lame comments from another thread.
You need to grow a thinking head instead of a beer head.
I think Bangkok and places where there are lots of farang are different from more provincial places. I've wanted to object to this, but my wife who speaks more Thai, has told me that once something is opened or prepared there is usually no point in demanding that it be taken off the bill.
If it can politely be suggested that the food was brought to the wrong table, fine, but if you plan to order more food from them and maybe return another time it's not a good idea to give these provincial folks a hard time. This may be more about face (for both parties) and the consequences of creating loss of face, than anything else. Plus, given the Thai tendency to get back at someone quietly behind their back (while smiling to their face), maybe we don't know what they'll do to your food in the kitchen!
So it's more about picking your fights and understanding the cultural nuances than just being a victim. I do hate it though. Debating the bill is another story, however, as mistakes are often made there, and it is understood that the customer can politely ask for corrections.
Some good valid points there
-
If an unscrupulous Thai is going to rip off the farang, he will do so regardless who orders and in some cases the Thai partner will do nothing about it
because they're doing exactly the same
Someone will be on shortly claiming the waiter is probably her Thai husband

I guess I'll have to get a professional to look at it.
Or by an original

I liked it.

How far can you walk in Phuket?
That is the silliest topic title i have ever seen.
People have walked to both poles and across the sahara.
I wouldnt have thought Phuket would offer much of a chalenge.
Backpacking around Phuket eh. OOOOOOOOOO> Arent you the great adventurers!
Seriously. Get a bus between beaches during day light hours, or rent a motorcycle or even a bycycle........but walk??? Why would you even think about it? Its just not worth it.
Dont sit on the fence mark.

Why has Thailand never been invaded? There was a small Thai woman blocking the road, that's why.
Brilliant

Wait until the queen wakes up
he will tell you where to go!
Gerd
She already has.
"Walking" might be a challenge with some of the roads. However, it is only a few KMs by road from Patong to Kamala. Then fromKamala to Surin as about 5kms ... at Surin it gets flat all the way through BangTao etc.
Also there is inexpensive local busses in the daytime. 20 baht into town from Patong and there you can hop another one to another beach.
Lacoste ....
haven't you been warned about homophobic remarks?
and I'll thank you never to refer to me as 'she' or 'queen' again
Whats good for the goose and all that jd http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/index.php?s=...st&p=911793
No i have not been warned and i will keep refering to you as she in the future.
