  1. I wonder what happens when Russian and Ukrainians find themselves side by side on beach chairs or in a bar. Fisticuffs or "Brother, what happens in Europe stays in Europe. The next round is on me."
  2. This is amazing. Front cleansing, soft rear cleansing, massage, these are exactly some of the options at my local happy ending place.
  3. Absolutely. Used to teach this stuff in a past life. Here's the theory to back you up. (a) 10 really cheap devices with a 50% probability of failure each: chance that all fail and you lose your data is (1/2)^10 = 1/1024 or about in 1 in a 1000. (b) 1 fabulous device with a 1% probability of failure: chance you lose your data is 1 in a 100.
  4. If Trump voter = MAGA (as seems to be in the mind of lefties) then there's 74,223,369 of them. Otherwise, I agree with the rest of your post. Politics should be a vigorous discourse culminating in a vote, not a battle leading to bloodshed. According to the latest reports the culprit was a crazy (of course) with a history of spouting hate online.
  5. It's a colorful example. Moral in both cases: Be responsible for your own safety. There's bad bad people out there. Some even want to crack open your skull. I mean seriously if you are perfectly aware that 70,000,000 MAGAs hate your guts and yet a guy can climb a wall, traipse across a lawn and break into your sunroom and announce "Hello, anybody home? It's me. I have a hammer." then you sound like an elitist Dem who's seriously out of touch with the real America. Oh, wait.
  6. Makes sense. I'll keep this mind when you walk after dark in South Chicago with a carefree smile and end up robbed, assaulted and unconscious on the street. I shall not blame you but I'll blame the fool who sent you out at that time to get cigarettes.
  7. If the photos are accurate about the point of entry it would seem that from the street into the Pelosi's backyard is simply a matter of springing across a low wall. And then no motion detecting cameras to set off alarms and auto-call security services? Weird. Not suggesting any conspiracy but just seems a really poorly protected home of a person who knows she has enemies and can afford better.
  8. The Pelosis are gadzillionaires. You can just climb over a wall or squeeze through a gate and sprint into their living area?
  9. They knew long ago their heads would roll. Musk had been feuding with Agrawal for a while and had publicly scolded their censor czar what's-her-name for bias.
  10. It's standard protocol at big companies. You aren't manhandled or frogmarched or something like that. Just burly security guys coming into your office and politely asking you to follow them out.
  11. Just found this link for video consultation with Bumrungrud docs: https://intmedicaltreatment.com/bumrungrad-telemed-consultation/ I haven't dug into it and can't say if psychiatrists are available. A plus with a top private hospital like Bumrungrud is that almost all the the docs have trained in the west and have a notion of what it's like there. Good luck. Your wife is lucky to have such a caring husband.
  12. 2016 it was Russian interference, 2020 election fraud. To paraphrase Kipling "Red is red, and blue is blue, and never the twain shall meet".
  13. I assume this will get a topic of its own soon but still might be of relevance here: From the BBC: Thai transgender tycoon buys Miss Universe contest I wonder if she'll allow transwomen to compete with genetic women. Would be neat. My money would be on a trans winning.
  14. It's even cheaper in India. Apparently patients in S and SE Asia pick up multiple doses in India to take home. Of course, with biologics you need to be sure of refrigeration and backup.
  15. Hi Sheryl, interjecting a hopefully related question: who's a good doctor in Bkk to see for psoriatic arthritis?
  16. I have psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis (the latter fortunately not severe as yet) and have had terrific results for my skin with the biologic Cosentyx (secukinumab) branded Scapho in Thailand. It's expensive but not crazy expensive.: 6,911 b. for 150 mg. (vial or prefilled syringe) at a government hospital and 8,955 b. for 150 mg. from Novartis directly (with their buy 3 get 1 free promo). So you might want to check with your doc if Cosentyx might work for you. In which case, you might want to complete the loading phase in the States.
  17. I think the lesson to learn from this is how the MSM misleads sweet young things.
  18. You would think so. Until (while still healthy) you visit a well-run private hospital like say Bumrungrud. And then visit a reputed Government hospital like say Chula Memorial. And then ask yourself where would I want to be admitted, operated on and spend 3 days in intensive care:-)
  19. Looking at my unit I would think so. Their tap is just a screw-on unit with a pipe carrying water leading into it from the final filtration step. So, unscrew the tap and attach the pipe to your own tap I would say. But best ask Mazuma at https://mazuma.co.th/en/contact/ Btw, from recent interaction there's at least one person who answers their phone whose English is excellent.
  20. I have had https://mazuma.co.th/en/product/aq-5f-uvs/ for 3 years now. No complaints and haven't had any stomach issues I could attribute to drinking water.
  21. I don't see any problem with a state-run hospital having a policy of offering certain treatments/drugs only to citizens. The logic of reserving government funds to care only for nationals is obvious. Not that it should be this way but it's certainly justifiable. And not racist by any means. And the OP's doctor was unable to override this rule, which as public servant she can't be blamed for. (The doctor's account of "I try for you but Big Boss him not let me" should be taken under advisement: she probably wanted to avoid a confrontation with the OP.) The lesson here is that if you are in a life-threatening situation do not go to a government hospital because of (a) the policy the OP ran into, and (b) the level of care is likely (much) better at a private institution. Caveat re (b): I was having major dental rehab done at a well-known private clinic here in Bkk couple of years ago when a serious complication emerged which they were unable to solve despite repeated attempts over a month. Then, a doctor at another clinic suggested I consult the "profs" at Mahidol University Dentistry near Victory Monument. I was sorted in two visits.
  22. Kind of strange. I have lived in India. Except for weddings and such occasions where security is assured Indians won't flaunt gold jewelry. Certainly not on city streets. And yet in Thailand ...
  23. Dangerous ground, kid. I wouldn't touch Thai politics with a barge pole. Not on AN.
