  1. Thanks for the confirmation Sam
  2. Thanks for the advice Dr Jack. Your guess was spot on! K bank will be my first call. If that fails and I need to use an agent for the extension as a sweetener to open a bank account then I will take that route.
  3. Hi Dr Jack. I will be staying in Jomtien so would prefer not to travel to BKK but obviously would be prepared to do so if that was my only option. For further info; Yes, I have a 90-day non-O obtained in the UK. I also have an old K bank account that maybe I can reactivate. Not certain this can be done! I will be staying in an Airbnb for my first month while I look for long term accommodation so not sure how this will play out with banks even if I obtain a COR. I have just had an email back from one of the agents that has numerous recommendations on here informing me that they can’t help with bank account opening. Maybe I am worrying too much but I am trying to plan a for worst case scenario wherein I don’t manage to open an account within a couple of weeks after my arrival (giving me time to season the funds for an extension). Thanks
  4. Forgive my ignorance and slightly off topic but if you don’t have a bank account can these agents still obtain an extension for a 90 day Non Im O ?
  5. Can you post a link to oldcpu post. Thanks
  6. Thanks Upnotover. Much appreciated
  7. Hi I am currently in the process of booking a 1-month Airbnb to give me time to find a permanent place to stay. I contacted the landlord and asked about obtaining a copy of the TM30 as I may need it to obtain a COR for opening a bank account. He informed me that he completes the TM30 online and would send me a screen shot. So, my question is; If I turn up at immigration (Jontiem) with the screenshot would they locate the TM30 on their system? Thanks
  8. Sorry that was a typo, yes 800k. No air ticket requested.
  9. Update 😀 I received my visa this morning. Please see below for details. Submitted application Tue 3rd Jun 11.50am BST Documents submitted: - Latest utility bill. (PDF file) - Latest UK bank statement showing 800k+ baht/GBP equivalent. (pdf file) - Copy of Bio page of passport (JPEG file) (Note, file size must be less than 3mb) - Digital passport photo. (JPEG file) (Note, file size must be less than 3mb) Received visa approval email Wednesday 18th June. Allowing for 4 days over 2 weekends and the holiday for the Queens birthday on the 3rd June it took 10 working days. Worth noting that the approval email came through at 12.40am UK time zone. I had only been checking for emails up until COB UK time zone. This stuff must be outsourced rather than processed in the London embassy! Cheers
  10. Yeah, I check everyday. (To be honest a few times every day). The application went from pending document check to pending approval a few days ago so I assumed the document approval stage was complete.
  11. I am still waiting for my Visa approval after after 14 days. Does anyone know if there is a backlog at the moment?
  12. I don't recall what was left in the account but pretty sure it was in excess of 2000 so will find out when I visit the branch. Thanks
