Story landed in the New York Times today. This hotel might as well close down, who would ever want to stay there now? Word will get around about this place.

Who cares what a poll says. I care what the constitution says.

The nicest and cleanest I’ve ever seen jomtien beach look was during the lockdown when all the vendors had to remove their chairs and they were no where in sight. Get rid of all of them. I’m down on that beach most days and the chair operators really are a lo-so bunch of people. Nasty attitudes, scowls and downright harassing people just for sitting down on the walk promenade in their so called area. Garbage is everywhere on the beach. I purposely put myself in these situations and mingle with the street people. It’s how I know what’s going on.

The safest place to buy drugs in pattaya operate in the open with protection from the police. They do it in broad daylight without a care in the world because they’re protected. Thai cops are the biggest criminals in this wasteland.

Jomtien beach has so many beggars and derelicts at the moment. Putting large numbers of foreign tourists on that beach would lead to many problems. They go straight to the foreigners with aggressive begging. Lao Khao bottles everywhere in a certain spot.

There's desperate people all over the world.
This is the exact response I knew I was going to get. Refusing to acknowledge the problem in Pattaya/Jomtien and just point your finger at western culture and say look. Thai apologists at their finest.

Jomtien beach needs to be cleared out as well. Mentally ill drug addicts and homeless are everywhere on the beach, the cops were down there a few days ago poking a thai laying drunk in the sand to make sure he was still alive. Didn’t move for about 10 minutes, he looked dead but they got some reaction from him and let him be. thais have really shown their true selves to me during the last 4 months. Never seen such an angry bitter side to them as many are struggling to make ends meet and easy to blame the foreigners. The scowls are there everyday, it’s something in their eyes that’s hard to explain but I recognize it immediately when I see it. I’m leaving soon and will never return.

Germany can’t even afford to pay the 2% they agreed upon. Their 2nd biggest contributor to the EU just ditched them. Leaving Germany and France to support the whole bloc. The EU will collapse in 5 years and Russia won’t even have to fire a shot.

And i would suggest that in the future Thailand will be a much safer, happier and prosperous than western countries. I have 2 young sons and i would like them to grow up in Thailand as it is now, sure has its problems, but it has unity, self pride and is family orientated, all these things half baked marxist terrorists have destroyed in western countries. If you want gay pride and all black felon sports leagues that's fine, go back to your western country. If not i suggest you quit self loathing, stop regurgitating all the isms and obias from western media and get on with your life. Cos i'm sick of social equality homos, especially in context with how bad western countries are becoming, social justic warriors are dangerous and should be removed from the country.
You can’t even stay on topic at all. You’re only response is to attack western society. I would respond further but I feel like you are an unwell and angry person.

With Thais, it could have been something as simple as he didn’t like the way the guy looked at him. Some very fragile egos amongst this group. About five years ago a thai shot another thai off a buakhow side soi, blatantly said he didn’t like the way he walked or the way he looked at him, so he shot him.

I’ve experienced more rude and nasty behavior from Thais in the last 4 months than I have in the total 7 years of living here full time and all of my holiday trips before that. Thais are a very angry an unhappy people right now and I see it everyday I’m here. Easy to blame the foreigners for their problems.

I don’t trust Thai covid numbers one single bit. The numbers in the US are fake yet the sheeple lap it up. The UK removed Thai citizens from their exempt status because they also know full well what a crock those Thai numbers are.

I walked the entire Jomtien beach yesterday and it was busier than any day in high season. Completely packed with Thais. Lots of bkk thais down for the weekend.

A few years ago another Brit from pattaya Kevin Smitham beat his thai wife to death. He came off the roof of the thai jail while awaiting trial. Suicide or pushed? Nobody cares. I’m sure this guy will meet a similar fate. When I saw his photo I recognized him from the bars on soi buakhow.

Serge Tudor doesn’t sound very American. But jesus christ what a disaster this guy is. That also looks like a ladyboy companion. Kudos to the doctors and nurses that have to hoist this drunk slob on the exam table and treat him. I think he might have crapped his pants in the other photo. Hopefully a wakeup call for this guy.

He never said the name of the school except that it’s near Asoke. Sounds like another Pro Language student was rejected for their ED visa. I’ve read a few others posts on here from students at that school that were denied the ED visa. But he hasn’t said if that is the school or not but it’s a stones throw from Asoke.

Do you mind naming the school you used to apply with? There’s a purported blacklist of language schools at some consulates. One school in particular has had a few people start threads on here saying they were denied. Just wondering if you used that same school. The blacklist was posted on here about three months ago in a thread, it was deleted but I took a screenshot of it.

I was able to recently get a one year ED visa at a school in Pattaya without having to leave the country.
It costs more but I think worth it because I didn’t have the hassle of leaving the country and also possibly being denied by the consulate or at the airport coming back in.
I don’t think this option is available everywhere.
-
ED visa takes 3-4 weeks to get back the approval from ministry of education so it wouldn’t be asap and I think with your prior history of two ED visas already and 90% of the last three years spent in Thailand would up your chances of being rejected. You would also need to be able to speak Thai decently to the IO because you have a previous ED visa for Thai language and they will ask you to speak Thai. There are some schools in certain provinces that make deals with immigration to get you an ED visa without leaving the country, but it costs more and you still need the approval from ministry of education.

What school are you using to apply for the ED visa. There is currently a blacklist of schools and the school isn’t going to tell you they’re on it. ED visas from those schools are denied at the airports, so you could find yourself in the same situation as before.

Ok thanks, looking into it. I guess overland is more sure than flying in and out right? Or can i just fly to say Hanoi and get an exemption on my way back without raising eyrbrows at DMK?
Overland does seem to be the better option these days. You could fly to Hanoi and come back but I believe you’re taking a chance at DMK for re-entry. When the IO sees the ED visa in your passport they will give you an impromptu quiz on your Thai language ability. They’ve done it to me in the past. Myanmar also doesn’t put a visa sticker in your passport, just a stamp in and out, so you save a page in your passport.

The smartest statement Obama said was “elections have consequences”. Legitimacy flows from the constitution, not from democrats feelings.
