There is a car park at Chamchuri Square, where the One Stop Shop is located.

Click the link below to open a google map of the car park entrance. You can then click on the map/pin icon to get directions.

Alternatively, MRT Sam Yan has a convenient and direct underground connection to Chamchuri Square.

Thank you very much.  Do you know if that car park is accessible to the public and not just office workers or residents of the complex?

  2. Thanks for advice.  As per title, is the extension TM7 process itself consider to be the 90 day report and reset the clock, or is a separate 90 day report TM47 required in addition to the extension TM7.  Can they be done at the same time?  For example if the 12 month extension is done on Day 61 of 90, could the 90 day report be done if required, or do you have to wait until 2 weeks before the Day 90 of the original visa?

A TM7 extension application form with a 4 X 6 photo attached. Immigration may have some other forms they want completed that you can complete while waiting.

Copies of your passport photo page visa, entry stamp, extension stamp and TM6 departure card. Copies of their passport photo page visa, entry stamp and TM6 departure card. Their  legalized birth certificate (unless born here) and a copy of it.

If working for a company they may also want some supporting documents from them and a copy of the company registration. What is needed can vary from one immigration office to another.

Sorry, two final questions,  can visa be extended starting from 30 days before expiry?  Will they extend it for full 12 months, or would it only be extended to end of parent existing extension which is 7 months out?

    Thank you.

You have to attach a copy of your TM6 departure card to the application for the extension of stay.

Make a copy of both cards and take both of the originals with you and they can check which card is for whom in their database. Then write your name  and passport number on the one that is yours.

Thank you for the sensible advice.  Do you have any idea if there is a landside immigration help centre at Suvarnabhumi in order to avoid a trip to CW?

  6. On arrival with GF, we both filled in arrival section of forms, but not departure section.  As they no longer staple this into passport, we accidentally mixed these papers up and don't know whose is whose. Other than a trip to immigration, is there any simple way to tell which one belongs to which person as all we can see is the Bar code number and arrival date stamp.  All advice appreciated.

I remember being regularly on Soc.culture.thailand back in the late '90's..... My initial comment had nothing to do with women, it was about the entire region has 'bad' air for the winter months.  There is a different kind of male in Chiengmai today....it seems. Many are interested in receiving a cheap foot massage or where the best kiffer drink which can be found. There was a time, when we had to be smart/tough in Chiengmai....and far smarter/ tougher in the backwoods. Potential death was always present and we accepted that....now you guys seem to want your favourite yogurt.  There are a few of you who understand me. It was once dangerous and bloody fun....and we made friends with Thai males. Thai males were our introduction to the culture....not the latest trollop at the bar.

Nostalgia ain't what it used to be....LOL

Immigration does not do a change to or issue a non immigrant visa (category O) for family members of those on extensions based upon retirement. Also if they did it would not be done for a a 15 dav visa on arrival.

The baby would need to have a single entry non-o visa issued by a embassy or consulate to apply for the extension. It would not have to be applied for in their home country unless it is on the list of restricted countries.

Children under the age of 15 are not fined for an overstay if more time was needed before going out for a non-o visa.

Thank you for the very clear explanation.

Alternatively, if the infant were on a tourist visa, could it be converted to Non-Imm O within Thailand, and then extended?

If father got job, work permit, visa etc, and baby was tied to that, would it make any difference?

Sorry for the slightly complicated clarifications.

  9. All advice welcome.

Newborn infant born outside Thailand, and national of one of  Visa on Arrival (not visa exempt) countries with fresh passport, but no Thai visa.  Parents non-Thai, father on retirement extension of stay, mother on dependent extension of stay tied to father.

Or is it only possible to apply for a single 90 day non-imm O dependent for infant in home country, and then convert to extension of stay before end of 90 days.

    Thank you for any suggestions.

Yes it can be done at Jomtien.

You need at least 15 days remaining on your 30 day entry or the 30 day extension of it when you apply for a 90 day non immigrant visa (category O) entry at immigration.

Not complicated if you already have the 800k baht in the bank with proof it came from abroad or proof of 65k baht income.

What if the 800k is savings in Thai bank from previous employment in Thailand and not from abroad?

If a fresh 800k from abroad is required, would it have to be seasoned or just deposited day before visa conversion.

That is for a work permit cancelation not a extension of stay. You were asking about a form for the extension cancelation previously.

Your employer should complete the work permit cancelation form.

This is the one I posted. work-permit-cancellation.pdf

There is no form for an extension cancelation.

    Thank you for clarification!
