The dizziness may be due to dehydration. Not drinking sufficient water, being worried about the night time problem. Plenty of water in the daytime but none after 7pm mat help?

I am drinking lots of water until 4!

The dizziness may be unrelated and in itself needs investigation. Could be cardiac cause. Or could be an inner ear problem. When did you last have a complete check up?

For the prostate you need to see a good urologist. Where in Thailand are you?

Sorry Sheryl for my late answer, but it is very complicated! I was spending the years a fortune for doctors / hospitals and at the end they couldn't give a proper answer what I could understand, but not their answer "go to a sleeping doctor". Wekk, I cannot sleep with a sleeping mask!

I had 3 MRI scans and amongst others they saw that a small part of my brains is dead. I had in the sixties a heavy car accident and the doctor than said "you can have problems later". I am now very, very dizzy and I started to-day walking with a stick because sometimes it starts spinning in my head that I have to sit or lay! It seems that my head is very, very heavy! I go many months not outside anymore so I am very, very bored!

Furthermore the blood to my brains is not enough. I get medicines for that: Atorvastatin 20 mg.

My ears are already years hissing but even in Bumrungrad the ENT doctor didn't come with an adequate answer!

I think that my urinating problem (sleeping) is the main course! I am the whole day dizzy and tired but I cannot sleep in the daytime and that's not the solution I think! Now I am planning to go to my "standard" doctor from Australia and ask him to test my blood (again) and to send me to an urologist, which I never visited! Him I will ask for a "Green scan" of the bladder and NOT an operation!

I take now at bed time Circadin (Melatonin) 5 mg, Firide 5 mg. and Doxazocin 2 mg.. I stopped wit Xanax because I think that doesn't help.

I am that tired and fed up that I go to bed in between 5.30 and 6 o'clock and I come out of my bed around 3 o'clock.

I am living in Bangkok and cannot spent in principle a lot of money anymore: I spend it all to them!

google also says that  taking say Kamagra, Viagra, or one of the other ED medicines, on a fairly regular basis, (weekly, rather than daily), and having regular sex, improves prostate function and helps to stop or reverse enlargement of the gland.  I cannot myself vouch for the veracity of this, but let's face it, it's got to be worth a try and there are a lot worse ways to try to cure the problem?   ????

    when I'm 78?????

Firide 5 mg MAY decrease the size of the prostate gland in patients of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). ... Firide blocks the enzyme responsible for the production of dihydrotestosterone and lowers the level of dihydrotestosterone, which is responsible for growth of the prostate.

Doxazosin is indicated for the treatment of urinary outflow obstruction and symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Doxazosin may be used in BPH patients who are either hypertensive or normotensive. Doxazosin may be administered in the morning or the evening.

I take both, and have been for the past 18 months.

Finastreide 5mg every other day to inhibit Prostate growth (it doesn't appear to decrease the size of my prostate).

Doxazocin 6mg every evening to facilitate normal urination.

If I stop taking the Finasteride (aka Firide), it makes no immediate difference.

If I stop taking Doxazocin, 2-3 days later I have problems urinating again.

The doctor telling you not to take them together was incompetent, as it's perfectly normal to take both.

Finasteride may cause erectile dysfunction (I'm not suffering that effect)

Doxazocin may cause dizziness when standing up, and blocked nose (I'm not suffering those either)

When first taking Doxazocin you need to start at minimum dose 2mg, and work up in 1mg steps every two weeks until you can urinate normally (max 8mg). You also need to monitor your blood pressure when taking Doxazocin, as it lowers BP, in my case 6mg lowers my BP from 120/80 to 90/60 .... which is the level for me than enables normal urination.

THANK you BritManToo! I'll start with the two again!!!

Firide 5 (aka Finasteride) is to stop your prostate getting any larger, it doesn't fix the problem.

Doxazosin is the drug that allows you to wee normally again by relaxing the blood vessels around the prostate..

Wow! One doctor gave me Firide and Doxazosin and another one told me not to take them together!

I would support consulting an urologist, and then be ready to undertake a PSI and urine test and go from there. A PSI score of >10 is an indication that the prostate gland needs investigation. Dizziness may not be a consequence of waterworks medication, and I would also suggest taking an ECG, as it's common for elderly people to suffer from arterial blockage.

    Top Urology Hospitals In Bangkok

    1. Bumrungrad International Hospital
    2. Vejthani Hospital
    3. BNH Hospital
    4. Yanhee Hospital
    5. Sikarin International Hospital

Neither options are dirt cheap, but it's better for your longer term health, than hoping it will go away. It won't.

Thank you Stephenterry! I thought however, that the dizziness is because of nocturia!

  7. I have to urinate lots of time at night and I think my sleep is suffering because I am the whole day very dizzy and I don't have balance when walking. I am 78 so it should be "normal"! I got Firide 5 mg (Proscar) for it but it seems to take half a year before it start working! (?) I really am fed up because I cannot do anything anymore! Somebody can give me an idea for a solution?

  8. The CHRYSOPELEA ORNATA, GOLDEN TREE SNAKE is the most common snake around our house in Bangkok's suburbs!

Chrysopelea ornata is a common snake and has adapted well to human habitats. In southern parts of Thailand, they are reported to hide in the thatch of the roofing material inside bungalows to prey on geckos and mice during the night. In these areas, one can almost be certain to be relatively close to a C. ornata most anywhere, perhaps hiding in the crown of the nearby coconut palm, under the roots of a tree, or even curled up in a potted plant.

When hunting and pursuing fleeing prey, they have been reported to drop down out of the crown of coconut palms.

Snakes are often indiscriminately killed, as many locals incorrectly assume all snakes are venomous. C. ornata is sometimes cooked for food.

Known as KruTor.  tree service owner. but I have been out of touch for a few years. He is a principal with Big Trees organization based in landscape architecture dept at Chula U They had a training program for tree workers.  I don't know current status.

By the way, Dinastinae is a sub-family of scarab beetles with many species.  The photo is I believe of an adult Oryctes rhinoceros

(This is not the "red palm weevil", also an important pest of palms in Thailand)

Prevention is the key to management. Advanced infestations are difficult or impossible to control.  If you have other palms, coconut and ornamentals like your royal palm, they are in peril from further infestations on your property. There have been several discussions on this forum and the Farming forum about preventive control options. Ask me if you need more information. don

Thank you Don! I can find the preventive control in the Farming forum? Dinastinea: https://www.antoniuniphotography.com/p656463162

The stats are utterly scandalous. Thailand should be ashamed that people are dying continuously every hour on their roads and absolutely nothing is being done about it. The roads are completely lawless.

Thailand is nr. 2 from 195 countries in the world with road death! ONLY on the road: the people who are dying in the ambulance or in the hospital are NOT counted!

  11. I am looking for somebody who is able to cut down (pieces!) of this palm tree, a ROYSTONEA REGIA, because although I were before very glad when it started growing, now it is attacked by the DYNASTINAE or RHINOCEROS BEETLE and I'm afraid it will come down once! (photo of another one near to our house). I am living near khlong Sam Wa in Bangkok.

Thank you!  How did you ID it?

I didn't know it and my plant ID phone apps didnt' pick it up from your posted photo.

It appears to be a gem.  Wish you could post the fragrance. Did you find it for sale in Thailand?

Coinbase let you buy USDC with your Spanish bank account. Everex let you withdraw USDC at Thai ATM without any ATM card. If you choose to check the fee maybe try coinbasepro instead of coinbase. I read they have 0 trade fee for market maker. USDC is pegged to USD so there is no fluctuations risk normally associated with cryptocurrencies. I don't know if this is the best options for you but I'm only giving you the information.

Edit: maybe some European exchange like Kraken also sell USDC but I'm not sure.

    Thank you Tayaout!

  14. LUCKY BEAUTY, A THROW-AWAY PUSSY In Bangkok's suburbs

A morning, 22-2-2019, I saw an abandoned cat on the end of our dead-end road being not very afraid and meowing when I talked to her. I went home to provide her with food. When I came back the food was partly finished and she had withdrawn more in the abandoned banana "plantage" which was a big mess, but she prolonged to answer me. I was able to take her and I saw that her back leg was injured. I carried her home and she grunted. I gave her water which she all drunk.
The vet named her "Lucky Beauty".
And, of course, in the night of the tenth of April she gave birth to 3, luckily not more, kitties!

Her children are now almost 8 months old. One has been taken by the assistant of the vet and we have two more. They are male.

We are looking for somebody in Bangkok or surrounding who is willing to adapt one or more. The two children will be castrated and will have some injections.

The mother in February and the two kittens almost to-day:
