just wait a month or 2. Then this nonsense will be behind us.

It is looking more and more possible, the Thais will see the errors of their ways. Many countries lifting all restrictions. Major countries too. Unfortunately Thais tend to follow China more than anyone, but that’s a broken underlying model so it’s a fallacy to emulate it.

  2. Maybe Thailand is waiting for the cdc info to come out. You know, the data they are withholding because “people may misinterpret it”.

I love this topic, because the cdc is preemptively precluding “misinformation”. They have it down to a science now. Withhold data on booster effectiveness and the hold is what stops misinformation. You see, no information is the good information, and if we are able to read the information that doesn’t line up with their talking points, or makes them look bad, it is converted to misinformation before it is even released. You got it?

  3. I would say the only way to understand Covid numbers is ignore them all except for the deaths.

And if you do that, what we see is a disease that is having very little effect, so the policies should reflect this.

What actually happens however is we get numbers in big red flashing lights everyday saying “highest ever”.

The difference between the truth and the headlines could not be clearer. Covid restrictions need to end.

  4. You know what happens when frequent visitors of a country travel to other countries (for the first time). They love those other countries and will continue going to them.

My point is that the longer Thailand goes with these useless restrictions of any kind, the more share of the pie it could end up losing in the long run to neighboring countries. The neighboring countries aren’t dropping restrictions yet either, which is thailands saving grace at this point.

  5. Ukraine currently receiving funds via crypto addresses. This is an emergency situation, and we are not seeing any other avenues for public donations.

gofundme was ok while it lasted, but people have seen governments can just swoop in and steal the funds if they don’t like the cause. Not the case with bitcoin addresses.

idk it seems fairly objectively clear this is going to gain serious steam in the very near future.

It has most certainly been proven that open air events carry risk in spreading Covid, it started in Europe that way at football matches. It spread in Thailand at boxing events. That was with a far less contagious strain too. And families mixing together is not the same thing... that could be considered a bubble.

'People choosing for themselves', well it doesn't seem to work very well generally. Perhaps because then they are not considering others.

A young person would not worry, yet still be serving up foodstuffs at their place of employment the next day.

People gather no matter what you do. In hospitals for example.

There is no evidence any of these measures work. That’s the unbelievable part. Belarus did nothing, they didn’t get wiped off the face of the earth. They are actually doing quite well.

No again, people choosing for themselves works 100%. If you are frightened to death you stay home. Leave everyone else be. Nothing “works” in the way you are using the term.
