The prices weren't bad but I just don't know if they are good lawyers. They also told me in info dept that I could go to lawyers counsel in a different address. Hi, Basically I was looking for an item on Facebook marketplace and this guy sent me his ID and the bank account holder's name matched it. So I thought he can't scam using a real bank account but I guess he can. So after sending him the cost of the item which is about 5k THB, he didn't reply and next day he said don't go to police coz he can sue me etc and blocked. I still have chat records so with those translated to Thai, I went to my bank first, got a case id and then the police and then show that paper to both my bank and the receiver bank which is CIMB. I had to go to Si Racha for this and the bank said that's why scammers use because they are hard to reach. So now it says on the police report I have to go to the station after a week at certain time. Is there any chance to get this transaction reversed? The bank said the police has to request it. Or do I have to go to court for this also? Thanks a lot in advance

Actually I am not sure which part of it. All I know is that Asus said they don't have this part so I trust their word. Therefore they can't replace what they broke. The original issue with the laptop was never diagnosed, it could be battery, charger, charging port, something wrong with mobo. But now it's hard to do that when they caused additional physical damage.

Actually the spare parts not available is not always due to age. For high end models they are still very scarce to non existent. For example even at launch you couldn't get a spare mobo.

Yes it was authorized shop. Asus confirmed and they told me they're trying to find a solution. It's just that Asus doesn't have spare parts for what they broke nor the same laptop. Only other companies have this model in stock. You think Asus would be responsible indirectly then because after all this shop is acting as their agent.

Actually there is no way to repair it because the manufacturer said there are no spare parts for what they broke due to cost so the only way is to buy new to have it like before the damage. Can I do that then? Or is it better to ask for that compensation and add lost wages daily?

I filed OCPB complaint and mentioned it to the shop they didn't even hear of it or pretended not sure but they didn't seem to care whatever I do or sue them not sure why they are so nonchalant about this. So if I have a case with OCPB, no need to hire a lawyer to pursue it in courts? That would be very good. Otherwise it would just double up your work for no reason? Should I still visit OCPB even though my case is already filed?

The first one said if we go to first court it's 50k. CCTV camera, written admission on document, admission on text messages and promise to fix it, original condition report that doesn't mention what they destroyed when I brought it. It's a laptop so I can't estimate the damage if there is no spare parts to fix it and without fixing it, the laptop is useless so about 500K in total value.

I asked them in person already they admitted their mistake but can't pay or fix what they broke.
