Should be up for assault with a deadly weapon!

Bryce, who sustained bruises on his face and head and abrasions on his body, informed the police that the incident occurred on his birthday. He and his two friends had gone to the establishment around noon to celebrate. A dispute over the drink bill escalated into a physical altercation, leading to the violent incident captured in the video.

After providing his statement, Bryce filed a formal complaint with the investigators against the security guards. His friend, however, chose not to file a complaint out of concern for his safety in Pattaya. The investigators charged the guards with operating as unlicensed security personnel, which carries a penalty of up to three months in prison, a fine of up to 5,000 baht, or both. Additional charges of physical assault are also being pursued.

It was further revealed that the group of guards involved in the incident were self-organized and untrained by any official company or agency, nor were they officially employed by any establishment. This contravenes government policies, and the police are continuing their investigation into the group. Any further violations will result in additional charges.

there are many violations to be acted upon not the least of them being those who were paying these goons.

that to me, is how best to tackle it.. go after each parties exposure.

yes will be interesting bearing in mind comments made by the police chief re barbaric security guards culpability.

maybe whiteshirt can be charged for pointing and yelling at cashier, tossing mobile on table and challenging  goon outside for a 1 on 1  ..........oh and also for being an embicile for having a drink in walking street on his birthday.

we now get 60 day on arrival or what?

    Summary:

    The details include:

    - Increase the number of visa-free countries from 57 to 93, including Albania, China, Cambodia, India, Kazakhstan, Laos, Jamaica, Romania, Sri Lanka, Panama, Mexico, Morocco, Uzbekistan, etc.

    - Extend the period of visa-free stays from 30 days to 60 days.

    - Expand the list of countries eligible for visa arrivals from 19 to 31.

visa-free stays extend to 60 days but i'm not clear whether or not visa on arrival extends to 60 days.

I've not had a visa for about 15 years, and stay 5-6 months a year over each winter.

similar to my past entry experiences except once last year when i was advised at swampy to get a tourist visa next entry which i did. my and other members present query is how will multiple 60 day visa exempts actually play out - my crystal ball gets all foggy when it comes to thailand so wait and see i guess.

What would be the point. 60 day e-visa costs $60 and is exactly the same 60 days as a free vIsa exempt?

i been doing mixture of visa exempts/tourist visa for nearly 20 years cos thats all the time i need.

just saying multiple visa exempts have been frowned upon more than multiple visa's.

you may well be right.... "no problem".

wait and see to be sure.

    cheers

ps i avoid rogue jomtien i/o so extensions or tm30's not for me.

Well currently you needed four 30+30 day entries for 8 months....now you only need 3 entries for 9 months so no problem as less visits 😀

i hope you are right, but will i/o muppet switch from number of visits b/s to number of months b/s when no visa........ to maintain their sweetners.

whatever i still have 60 day evisa now available in oz .

Just wondering why the UK Sun can report guy is in a coma fighting for life in ICU but Pattaya news has no knowledge of foreigners health?

Speaking today, Sergeant Major Arthon from Pattaya City police station said the three security guards have been warned about their conduct but have not been arrested or charged.

He said: "The tourist in the video who was attacked has not filed a police report, so we cannot assign an investigating officer.

"There's no case open until they complain. We've had a look around but can't find them.

"Yes, we're still checking CCTV to see what happened to them.

"There are rumours that he is in intensive care but we haven't heard anything from hospitals."

typical TIT head in sand charade!
