Read the thread - you'll figure it out.

It's all flowers and love here, isn't it?

I do not need to figure it out, if you are of the belief that European luxury cars are safer than every other car on the planet their advertising campaigns obviously work on you.

A huge one. And among several others, one of the biggest reasons for that price difference is that good quality strong metal is expensive, cheap metal will never reach that strength. Hence why despite being similar sizes the Vios at 65kph crumples all the way to the firewall and the Merc barely halfway through the engine bay…

There are other reasons: luxury, status, etc…. But your life should be reason enough to consider the high end Europeans…

Of course not everyone can afford such cars, but if you have that much money as some claim and you still drive a Vios chances are:

    - You are just boasting and actually you can barely afford the Vios.

High end European cars depreciate quickly? True. Don’t buy it then, lease it and change it every 3 years you drive the newest model…

Still the biggest load of codswallop I have ever heard. The crash testing is done at low speed as the biggest danger is a car hitting pedestrians, in other words strong steel is bad for the percentage of accidents and I doubt high end vehicles use such material. They may well have a better braking system or better warning systems but to suggest the steel strength is material is rubbish. Do some research son, and I doubt you have driven vehicles on every continent to make such claims

Many of you meddlers think buying Mercedes / BMW / Audi / Volvo is just about showing off how wealthy we are... Heck with that, it is about protecting you and your family's lives.

Simply not true, google it before you comment, there are far more Japanese and Korean cars with top rating than your European cars. Audi fares the best of them.

Errrrr 70 profile is the sidewall height.... not width.

50 profile is fine with a 20" rim, the sidewall height is 5.2" assuming the tire is a 265.

265/50R20 is a standard fitment on most SUV/pickups sold with 20" rims.

I understand everything about tyres and it wasn't me suggesting to use 70 profile tyres. What point are you trying to make?????

Fair call but its a SUV truck the TRD logo makes me laugh but Thais luv it and low profile tyres in Thailand espesually where there are so many different road surfaces and deteriorating road surfaces make low profile tyre the worse thing to put on rims IMO.

The OP has stated they are 50 series tyres and therefore not low profile. Personally I think 29 is low, however you need to pick a pressure and monitor tyre wear, if the outside is wearing too low, if the middle is wearing too high, overall it is what gives you the best ride.

    i am in bkk.

how much do they charge you for your warfarin/coumadin plus doctor visit?

300 baht for visit. I get two different medications from them but they only put one price on invoice, last price for all was 690 baht for 2 months.

They have a facebook page 'Sriracha Heart Clinic' send them a message, they have good English

Thank you.  But the price of over 2,100 baht for just one box is crazy.  Australia it cost me around $25AUD. The site you referred It is around $100AUD equivalent for just 28 tablets.

I feel for you, I take a medication that was covered by PBS in Australia but not so in Thailand, costs me an extra 100AUD per month. You need to work out what is most important, good luck friend.

I use OFX an Aussie company. They immediately tell you the exchange rate, and my last transfer charge was 5 dollars for 2,000 dollars transferred. US Banks screw you on the exchange rate and then charge you 30 to 40 dollars. That’s why I stopped using them. OFX usually has the money to you in three days. I transfer to Bangkok Bank and receive a text message when the money is in my account. Probably the cheapest after those banks that do everything free, but you usually have to have 10 or 20,000 dollars in your account with them.

You might like to take a closer look at Wise, quick check OFX 23.3 (not sure about any fees), Wise 23.7 into your Thai bank account.

I needed an IDP in 2011 as my home country DL was not in English.

Can't tell for sure whether Australian DL is accepted.

Do not require an IDL if have current Aus. Licence, I did mine in January without. Other paperwork as indicated above is required.
