Do not expect they have money to buy from supermarket. This is a very critical issue for much of the population (and this is day one. In Philippines (day 6) the poor are already saying they have no fear of COVID as they will starve before that happens. People who live hand to mouth are in very bad conditions with no employment and must leave to family farms to survive.
And heaby lies the problem as they will leave Bkk and Pattaya for the provinces. Be prepared for catastrphic consquences in the not too far future.

There is NO, repeat NO, medicine to reduce the risk anywhere in the world, let alone Kohn Kaen.
There are tests to see if you have or have not got the virus, medications to ease the effects of having lung disease problems.
The only way to stop it spreading is to NOT go near anyone else who MAY have the virus, and practise 200% cleanliness.
Just what the world needs right now,... Yet ANOTHER panic merchant .... Calm down.
Make a cup of tea and read the article slowky then you might understand it.

So far, there are very few official cases outside of Bangkok.

Roi Et, Kalasin, khon Kean, Buriram etc...it's everywhere. Either way much bigger numbers than they are letting on. And when the money goes this 'mai phen rai' culture has met its match with the chinese Flu.

Buying bottled water is not required in UK, the tap water is perfectly drinkable. Are they thinking the tap water is infected with Coronavirus?
Boiling water would kill the virus anyway, let it cool after boiling and it's safe.

For a few Baht more... And that's his main concern whilst his fellow countrymen are facing the worst health crises since the 1918 Spanish flu. Shameless is the word that comes to mind.
