  1. billd766 didn't have any updates since September 2020. He claims to have taken it to a shop recently and that they 'fixed' his Windows 10 install ☺️ They 'fixed' him alright. It's a simple fix, but he thinks he knows better. Nearly two years later, he is struggling with the same issues.
  2. Where is your back up?? With mobile broadband available at a reasonable cost, there is little to no reason for not having it as a fallback. Up to 30 Mbps is available, more than enough for your streaming needs; 1690 baht for 12 months or 235 baht per month. Prepaid, so no obligation. Use your Smartphone as a modem or buy a 4G router for around 1400 baht.
  3. Perhaps that is why you have been struggling with these problems for what seems like years. 'Weeding out' the best people and leaving yourself with the people who just take wild stabs at the issue. I can already see where you have been going wrong in this thread alone, but am loathe to get involved with you again. Good luck to anyone else who chooses to do so. They are likely flogging a dead horse. I am sure that you stated earlier that you took it to a shop and they fixed your Windows 10 install. What happened to that? Why are you trying to install Windows 10 again? ven with that, I can see where you are going wrong. Have fun.
  4. That was almost an apology ☺️ But not an issue. Happy to have helped.
  5. https://www.jd.co.th/product/starworld-digital-led-tv-cl-1988w-t2-19-1_59763474.html Suggests it has a digital tuner.
  6. Strong article: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2022/09/11/putin-finished-ukrainians-have-ropes-stunning-victory-sights/
  7. I'm not saying anything other than that. I don't think I can be more clear than I have been. It seems the more people ask, the more confused they get. I told you, decide what you need first. Currently you are all over the shop. Forget about the cost and decide what you actually need. You have more than enough info in this thread to make an informed and intelligent decision.
  8. There are eight models in your link. Are we supposed to guess which one? But really best to ask the vendor and have that in writing, as that will give you protection if it turns out to be unsuitable.
  9. Nope, you don't understand the subject about which you are writing. The longer term plans are "Ready SIM". SIM pack with a preset bundle. The monthly plans are simply normal SIM, with the vendor applying a USSD code supplied by the network. That's why they you see the six extra digits appended to the codes, to identify and incentivise the vendor. No need to purchase online in that case, as it takes extra time for nothing. Though no harm in doing it if you want to do so.
  10. Interesting that they told me exactly the opposite. I asked specifically about Starter Fares and your specific routing. When they confirmed the return would not be affected, I asked them again to double check. They confirmed that it was 100% correct that the return would be unaffected. How does it look in your Bookings? Still there and available?
  11. ?? Not sure what the point of all that was.... eSIM you have to apply a monthly pack. Buying online no good in that case. Not an issue, since the monthly new SIM promos are more than good enough. 12 month SIM are even better value, but I doubt you will be in tears at having to pay 200 baht for month for unlimited 15 Mbps and unlimited voice calls.
  12. I don't understand the point of your post and why you are quoting me. The DTAC plans are different from the plans they distribute via vendors. Three, six and twelve monthly plans can be bought online and direct from DTAC. Monthly plans can be applied immediately to any standard SIM. No need to waste time buying online. Clear?
  13. As opposed to getting it from a normal shop immediately? What's the benefit of waiting 2 - 3 days?
  14. I should let you know, just in case you attempt to Troll the members here, that I already contacted JetStar to confirm. Your statement on Starter fares was totally made up and the Inbound portion of your ticket is unaffected. Truly disgusting to attack the person who helped you the most.
  15. It's funny, but you too are/were on my ignore list and now I remember why. Posts like yours here. And this: I will go as far as to call you a liar. JetStar is a low cost airline, which means that your statement on Starter fares is a barefaced lie. There is no doubt whatsoever that your return flight is still valid and that your grossly ungrateful reply speaks only to your uncouth behaviour. Let's see if you are man enough to apologise, after you call JetStar to confirm.

  17. If you'd like to order directly from DTAC: https://www.dtac.co.th/en/prepaid/products/ready-sim.html Obviously the vendors are given better packages and prices.
  18. Of course if you intend to stay for longer than six months, then DTAC's 15 & 30 Mbps 12 month bundles can make financial sense for as little as 1390 and 1640 baht respectively. Location permitting of course.
  19. Your post seems a meaningless jumble. Max speed is the maximum speed available in your location up to 100 Mbps. The Tourist SIM definition of unlimited is the old one wherein you get an allowance at the maximum speed available and then the connection drops down to 384 kbps. https://www.dtac.co.th/en/prepaid/products/tourist-sim-faqs.html
  20. Either can work. Though personally I would go with the USSD code method, as that would allow me to test the SIM at my location before applying a pack.
  21. 20 Mbps with DTAC costs 200 baht per month with a new SIM. Can apply using a vendor code or obtain the SIM from a vendor who has access to the USSD codes.
  22. I provided a Google link in the post above with location and pics. I am not connected to the business in any way, but expect them to have good product.
