My neighbor, long time retired in BK, plans to go back to UK for up to 10 months. He'd like to know if he'll be able to use his Thai debit cards frequently at atms to withdraw cash while he's there. I don't know which Thai banks he uses. Said I'd post the question for him as he doesn't use TVF. Thanks.

Are the black supermarket bin bags good for the environment? Villa used to give yellow bio degradable plastic bags. I guess the world is hoping people will use far less if they must pay for them.

I walked along that area on Dec 31st at 10:30pm. Two African men sitting on steps. I had eye contact with one of them & he immediately called out "Hey, what's up man?" I just continued walking.

5:00am... drunk, forgetful & irresponsible is my guess. Who your neighbors are is so important.

I've bought lenses at several different optical stores in Bangkok. If you have the prescription just walk in & you should be able to buy off the shelf.

I have. Twice.
From Jan 1st many big stores too such as Big C. I'll just buy the black plastic bags from the store to use at home for waste instead. Are they any more eco-friendly?

Apparently not all immigration officers have gotten the message it does not apply to a visa issued prior to October 31st.
I seems the person that stamped you in to the country for a year was aware of that.
I changed from an ED visa in Thailand to a retirement visa in Thailand about 5 years ago. 4 Extensions in Thailand since. Am I right in thinking that it must be a non imm 0 visa (not 0-A) and doesn't need health insurance?

Just found out he has BB & SCB debit cards. Both mastercard. I told him he should inform the banks before he travels, but he's still concerned. Has anyone else used their cards over a long period of time? Thanks.
