I'm wondering what the process for marriage is to my Thai fiancé?
I have a british passport that my visa is on and I also have a New Zealand Passport.
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards,

Did you use an agent. If so then I would suggest you contact them to see if change to based on volunteering is an option.
Otherwise you could start obtaining 60 day covid extensions. Almost certainly issue will be extended beyond March.
I got my Ed Visa through a Language school.
I'd like to go to using the 60 day extensions for now when my Ed Visa runs out on April 11
I hope they continue to extend covid 60 day visas

You do not have to be on a tourist visa entry to apply for the 60 day covid 19 extension. Any type of visa entry can get the extension.
You would have to cancel your current extension based upon attending school before applying for it.
Some schools and agent can arrange for you to get additional extensions for attending school beyond the normal 12 month limits. You would not be applying for a new non-ed visa.
Thank you so much ????

Hello,
I understand that you can’t renew your education visa now.
I got one when I saw Covid becoming a problem in April last year.
my current school said I can pay all the money in advance and get the visa amd not have to go to immigration.
I think it will be a different visa.
does anyone know if it is possible to go from
an education visa to the tourist visa situation and pay the 1900baht every 60 days.
it would be a lot cheaper and more legit than the volunteer or university visas that you don’t volunteer or go to university.
do you need a letter from your embassy etc?
many thanks ????

Hello,
I'm in Phuket on an Eduction Visa that runs out mid April.
My girlfriends company is looking at employing me now.
Can I get a Non Immigrant Visa B being here already on an Education visa?
A visa centre was going to put me on a volunteer visa which you have to get a similar visa.
If I can how do I go about it?
I read a blog that I have to go to a government office in Bangkok, but I'm in Phuket.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks Peter

I believe that Scottish pounds need to be repatriated through the consulate, as apposed to the bank of England, so it's more expensive to change.
My friend went all the way to cao San Road once from phuket and changed it no problem,
But that was before covid, and before they moved the street traders on.
If I were you, I would ask on the pattaya forum.
Thanks you so much

Bumping your thread as you did not receive a reply. Regarding study at University that might be an option if you actually wish to study Thai.
If all this is about a way to stay in Thailand then I would obtain an extension based on volunteering. No requirements.
An agent can handle this for you at the price you mentioned. Personally not familiar with agents in Phuket.
Note: deal with an established company with track record..
Thank you so much ????

Scottish pounds ... Never been able to exchange them even 40 years ago.
Always made sure I had English pounds before travel. Sorry .... not much help
Thanks very much for replying. I nearly managed to change them at a money exchange at the big Tesco near Big C. But they changed their minds last minute

Does anyone know where you can exchange Scottish pounds in phuket?
Or does anyone want to swap them for Bank of England pounds?

I'm on an Education visa atm
I went to a school/visa agency in Chalong and they said it will be easier to get a Volunteer visa as now it is uncertain if a regular Education visa can be renewed without leaving the country.
Not likely atm
Or I could get a University Education visa
The cost I was quoted was 43,000 baht for the volunteer and 45,000 baht for the university ed visa.
Any thoughts I'd appreciate it

Hi,
I'm looking for an iPad released after 2018, preferably 2019.
I'd like to buy today, I live near the heroine Monument in Thalang.
Any suggestions for best places to buy one in Phuket?
Preferably in person, but if a better option online is ok to.
Thanks so much! ????

Try the large Tesco near Central Festival, there is a small exchange table in the northern part of Tesco building, between the gold shop, CP booth and Tesco grocery shop itself.
The exchange rate there is very good, higher than in the banks and usually better than in currency exchange cabins outside.
Thank you so Much ????

Banks will be open, but yes, smaller exchanges offer normally better rates. I saw the one next to medium sized Tesco in chalong open. So from your way, past chalong circle road left just before makro.
Thanks so much ????

Hello,
I've noticed many money exchanges are closed.
There's zero open in Central.
I saw one open in Chalong when I visited but they were not giving good rates.
Does anyone know a money exchange open with good rates?
I'm Thalang near the Heroine Monument.
But open to travel
Many thanks ????

Actually agree - they have a good selection and often at reasonable price and you can check out - mail order can be very deceiving for towel quality. Indeed many towels here are facecloth quality at best - with no ability to absorb water.
Thank you ????

Hello,
where would you find a good quality bath towel in Phuket without paying the earth for it?
But at the same time I understand you get what you pay for, something at a reasonable price.
If that's possible 555
Thank you :))))

I have a full valid British license for a Car and a motorcycle.
I'm going for my appointment in Phuket tomorrow.
All the documents have been stamped 3 weeks ago at the DLT.
With luck I won't have to do the Theory or Practical?
I've been trying to study a test online that has been translated by the looks of it by Google, well giving me a headache! 555

Hello,
can anyone please help with somewhere I can get my car carpet cleaned.
our dog peed/urinated on a spot
I’m in Thalang near the heroine monument & tried a car wash but they just vacuumed and sprayed it with deodoriser.
I presume it will need a vacuum with a washer and more.
it didn’t smell for about 7 days after he peed there so there was no chance of getting to it early
Any suggestions anywhere on the island would be appreciated.
thx Pete

It concerns me a bit that the people who came to check are just wearing simple masks and not full protective gear.
if someone is asymptotic( or even symptomatic) that they have tested and the mask doesn’t protect you fully, the testers can be infected and become hosts.
Then the virus can be passed unintentionally from house to House that is tested.
