  1. Has this been an issue in the last 2 years? I remember reading about it being a potential problem but don't beleive it ever happened.
  2. I did n't know whether to put a 'confused' or 'laughinh' emoji, either way crazy way to think...
  3. As well all know the rules are different in many locations, that's all i was pointing out, no need to get upset about it...... I'm sure you would take the 'order' to immigration and point it out, course you would. What do you think this would achieve?
  4. I'm well aware of the price of single and multiple re-entry permits, as i mentioned it may not have been 2000, might have been more, might have been less.... I see you've chosen to ignore the question about coming to tell the immigration people what their job is, no surprise there really, is there?
  5. Bingo, for sure something was signed and most likey not read or given the 'it won't happen to me' attitude. Most of these places will be covered for things like this, for sure she would not have been the first.
  6. Did you read my post about immigration office or just throw the toys out the pram 1st?
  7. LOL These answers always make me laugh, would you like to come along to the immigration office ( Phetchabun ) and explain i'm not required to do it? It may not have been 2000, something like that tho, maybe a 1000 of it was for the Re-entry permit i got at the same time.
  8. I'm on a marraige extension Every time i enter it's on a re-entry permit I've entered 5 times during this Covid / Quarantine BS I have to report to my local immigration to register each time once out of quarantine ( initially registered by quarantine hotel i guess ).
  9. I've entered 5 X and completed 5 quarantines, 1st time i went to get a re-entry permit from local immigration office and he asked me why i'd not registered upon my return, got a 2000 baht fine. Since then each time i leave quarantine i go to local immigration office to register.
  10. But in reality does this really happen? A random stop on the street and asked about visa status, it's certainly never happened to me or anyone i know in 20 years+. The issue is getting into a wreck / altercation or any sort of nefarious activity, then you're up the creek without a poodle for sure.
  11. He could get that at any hospital and results same or next day which would eliminate waiting for a couple of weeks as he mentioned.
  12. Told by who? There's so many places to do PCR tests, so long as he has a negative test result to present at check in he will be allowed to leave.
  13. In my experience it's the complete opposite. Most rural Thais with nothing ( or very little ) material wealth seem to be happy enough people.
  14. I agree regarding looking after finances. Majority will have a poor education and come from poor back grounds with little knowledge of how to manage budget / pay bills / stash money away for rainy day. I'm a big boy now and can look after my own finances thank you very much. Most marital issues are always about money.
  15. Good for him, i know someone that did this as well.
  16. Sorry this does n't answer your question but i think i got asked for a 3 month statement.
  17. The first bank account i opened in Patong was with Thai Farmers, unfortunately long gone.
  18. When was the last time you opened a bank account? I know when i opened mine you never needed one but that was 15++ years ago when life was easy here.
  19. oh wow - interesting. any idea what they charge for that?
