I suggest play your music as usual and then leave you apartment and close the front door. And then listen how much you still hear from that music.

Personally, I think if you hear a little that some music is playing, then it's not too loud.

If you still hear the music in the hallway, even if you are 10m away from your door, then probably it is too loud.

    80% max volume is meaningless.

I am sure 25% of my (1000W) speakers is more than enough to entertain the floor.

Well I have very good door and they are isolating the music quite well, but the neighbour is from the next room and he is complaining that he hears it through the wall.

I have just regular Samsung soundbar with 360W. But my question is can I have some problems if I listen the music too loud during the day?

  2. Does anyone know what are the regulations in Thailand regarding noise?

I also have problem with my neighbour who is complaining that my music is 'too loud'. I am never listening the music during the night time and I never have any kind of parties. I just like to listen music on my soundbar. And I never put it too loud in my opinion - 80% max volume.

Can I have some problems? I am really annoyed by him telling me I cannot use my property as I would like.

As I have just done this for our house in my wife's name, we just needed ID card and blue book (tabien bahn). So I imagine it would be the same for you.

Well, when I was registering myself at immigration they asked for a copy of Chanote as well. It would be nice if Chanote is not needed, but I am a bit sceptical.

Your wife is probably listed in the blue book but I am not there since only Thai people could be in the blue book.

If someone has actual experience what documents were needed for a registration of a foreigner and in which step, please let me know.

  4. If I want to register myself as a foreigner who owns a condo in Thailand, what kind of documents are needed except my passport? I don't have yellow book since I understand it is very difficult to get. I have blue book for my condo and Chanote (title deed).

Can someone tell me if these documents are enough and if I need to upload them during registration or during filling of TM30 report? Thanks.

Because the new driving licenses have a minimal validity of 5 years and is always valid until your birthday, I let them expire 1 week.

I didn't quite understand this part. Is it a difference if I renew the license before expiration date and after? My temporary driving license is expiring on 7th March, should I let it expire and renew after?

  6. Well they do but it is hard to get. I had contacted about 6 different shops till I found one which had 125 available. One shop said they can order 125 but I would have to wait about 3 months. Hard to believe that.

Yes I got the electronic key - just one. So apparently everything is correct. To be honest I would rather receive 2 normal keys. It seems like progress is going backwards. And I have asked how much it is to get a new key - they said 1000 baht.

  7. It is normal that they require flight out of Thailand during visa application process. I always had to provide it. As far as I know it doesn't have to be return flight, it can be any onward flight out of Thailand.

When one has a visa then the flight is not required by the airlines. But it is normally required for a tourist visa by the embassy.

I have fixed term deposit with Bangkok Bank and bankbook that I use for yearly extension. So it's certainly possible.

Probably the usual Thai, "I don't know so better say no can do"...

Well, I didn't ask at the branch. But it is stated on their website:

"The 7-Month, 10-Month and 14-Month Fixed Deposit Account are available for Thai individuals, corporates, government agencies.."

    Only Thai individuals or companies.

What is so bad about sweeteners? But being a non drinker, I have never had a weight problem in my life, but I drink 2 or 3 glasses of juice with sweeteners a day and cannot tell the difference between a drink of juice with or without sweeteners.

My problem is not with the taste, but many sweeteners turned out to be really unhealthy, more than sugar. Some of them are even potentially carcinogenic. You can find the latest studies online.

I didn't want to spam a particular brand as I have no commercial interest in this.

After I wrote that reply, I ended up buying some pure Whey Protein Concentrate (WPC) from Lazada myself as my regular supplier closed up shop during Covid. I paid 625 baht per 907 grams of Whey protein concentrate. The source is ALS Labs in the USA. The Lazada resellers buy it in the 25kg sack.

    ..

Thanks a lot, this post was very useful. However, I am having some issues finding the WPC you mentioned on Lazada. I have sent you a DM. If you will have time please check it.

I can't say re locally available brands but I get unsweetened California Gold Nutrition brand on iherb. Delivery is pretty fast (under 2 weeks) and costs a bit less than locally.

I see. I would prefer to order from some local shop, but out of curiosity - is it OK to import the proteins from abroad and do you need to declare anything or do some paperwork for customs? Any taxes due? How does it work?
