They have already removed that from the list. Click the link I posted and you will see it is gone.

I don't want to confuse things even more, but the link as you posted the update still refers to "tourist visa". Is there anywhere any suggestion they do actually mean all visas? (OP is on a non-imm).

This looks like the Brit embassy's own internal c*kup, as if we needed any more.

Why do people keep repeating this nonsense?

Wearing a mask offers more protection than not wearing a mask. Tired of reading this oft repeated nonsense.

And many others are getting tired of people like you refusing to accept experts' advice which fails to coincide with your level of panic. Pull yer head in.

I think it is unlikely you will be able to travel on the 30th unless you can meet the twin requirements of medical certificate and proof of insurance and/or rules change.

    Sheryl, welcome back!

Another thread from yesterday had a sample medical certificate blank:

no guarantees, of course, as to whether this is real or would stand up for an IO. But I have seen many reports in foreign media (AU, UK etc) of GP surgeries telling people not to even think about trying to get one signed.

He said that six types of establishment have been ordered shut for 14 days from today

    "six types of establishment".

Then there is a list of six types, but "pubs" doesn't appear.

I may be clutching at straws (not plastic ones, of course), but does that mean there is a chance yer ordinary boozer might be spared?

Also, has anyone any info about neighbouring provinces, notably Samut Prakan?

The USA is crashing now with NYC becoming like Wuhin soon. Reports school's will not open again this year. Hellish conditions at the airport with people in huge groups together for hours returning from everywhere in the world.

There again, why would anyone not in the US give a 4x? You think you are important?

    Indeed.

OP: load of bollllox. This thing, in the great scheme of things, is so minuscule as to be irrelevant really. You, and most other folk focusing on media, are going way over the top as to treat it as the apocalypse.

Wash your hands all you want, isolate for 12 months etc, after which you'll get royally bitten on the bottom.

Going forward, most logical option would be for all to be exposed with a little bit to fire the immune system.

Well said! Global panic my @rse. Global loss of perspective, more like, coupled with incompetent regimes' fear of getting sued. We should all be sneezing on lawyers and pollies.

Especially not now that Tottenham are out by the hand of Leipzig, Liverpool beaten by Atletico and Chelsea about to be eliminated by Bayern.

The British obviously cancelled the Champions League because this is the most embarassing campaign ever for British clubs.

that's what you get for Brexit. Serves you right.

They're not all shut!  Eg. Vasu wasn't closed yesterday and it is not closed today, either.

I walked past two booths in about 200 metres yesterday afternoon in that area that were open as usual.  And the banks are not "laying-off" staff, some have been sent home for temporary self-isolation as has been widely, and quite clearly mentioned.

Hardly worth arguing. All ones I saw were closed. I didn't state they are laying-off, I was implying. Hence "might".
