I agree... The difference is NOT what is happening NOW but rather the fact that 20 years ago there was much LESS exposure on social media. Nowadays, literally every inch of the roads is covered by CCTV and wannabe reporters/paparazzi who document every second of the day. Add this to the fact that people spend more time on their phones that actually going about their jobs and you have the overexposure and the surplus of documentation about the daily life...
