Thai Visa shut this thread down.

I don’t understand why Covid testing is the mark of good management. That is simply part of a narrative that also requires masks, hand washing and social distancing.  Time and time again people who tested negative are later tested positive. Testing is just a point in time event.  It is not predictive of infection rates.  The real test of infection or circulation rates is not an isolated test. It is hospitalisation and death rates. 

I am going to CM immigration to extend/renew Non O visa, and my agent required me to obtain bank statement and letter.

I think I would like a list of medical complaints for which these drugs are prescribed. Purely out of interest, off course.

I am confused I have an O visa and want to go to Oz for a week, then back to Chiang Mai. I understand I would have to spend 2 weeks in a grotty Brisbane hotel and I would have to spend 2 weeks in another Covid Petri dish here in Thailand. Is it correct that I could go back to Oz. Ther must be a catch. Is it the horrendous airfares?

The test of whether something is defamatory and valid defences to defamation varies from country to country. In Australia the defence is truth and public interest. I doubt if anyone really knows whether the gent on Koh Chang was lying or not. If he was truth saying, it is in the public interest to know of this interesting case from Koh Chang. 
 

I do know from personal experience that Thai hotels misrepresent their amenities.  But what recourse is there if you have been flimflammed?
 

I applaud Trip Advisor for its stance on the matter. It is a pity that Booking.com does not have the same courage.

My fond dream is that when he sneaks out of the White House that a pair of very large federal marshalls apprehend him and put manacles on him for a ride to New York.   If anyone is a flight risk it is him.

Their position was that the accusation would clearly not have been made if he was not in that job.

It is the same as death threats against the president. They spend tens of millions every year evaluating and investigating the roughly one thousand death threats per month that every president receives. The supposed "most powerful man in the world" draws a lot of attention from kooks, regardless of who is actually in the office.

Elderly white upper class women feel bitterly aggrieved that this particular president beat their great hope, Hillary, so, it is natural that some would go kamikaze. Fortunately, nothing has come out of any of the allegations, not contemporaneous notes by the alleged victims, not even witnesses who saw them together. Remarkable when you consider how famous he was even then and how this particular incident is alleged to have happened in a busy department store.

So, yes. If you suffer an attack due to the office you hold, your employer has a duty to defend you.

 

Wow one bitter chappie are you. Just one legal issue. An employer is not obliged to defend a criminal act such as rape or defamation. Such slight of hand to suggest there is any comparison between an employer and an employee and a politician.

Reckon they deserve whatever they get, any hotel that get's a guest jailed for posting 4 negative review's of which the main one they are whining about was never published don't deserve to stay in the hospitality business, complete knobs all around...

It is without a doubt an extremely disturbing story. The usual approach to a bad review is to respond on the site where it is made. I can only hope that the tourist does not settle by paying this hotel some money, or that the Judge throws it out. It is clearly a waste of the Court’s time. I will follow this case with great interest.

i also think that this Koh Chang hotel needs to be named and shamed.
