  1. I know this is an old thread...but I just picked up the Nokia e61..it's a no brainer...the wifi alone makes it so much more worth it than the other outdated designs...plus it comes with a little hotspot finder app so you know when you can use a free wifi...

I'm loving mine. The productivity apps are great...I've got a .pdf reader (only up to 6mb)...with all my contracts on it (I do photography) so I can email to clients when i'm out.

I have yet to sign up for Edge or whatever but probably will soon...it's just so easy to pop into places and use wifi right now...

I even have Doom loaded on this thing :o

  2. I think you'd be best hiring out a pro as others have said. I use 3CCD cameras which make for easier color correction...you're going to want at least that and you're not going to get into 3CCD stuff for 6000baht...there are folks renting out and hiring out video services in this range...I think if you're coming off of a digital camera you'd be best served by hiring someone who knows unless you've got a lot of dough to play with

  3. Don't know if it's ok to add...just wanted to confirm the CCD cleaning at fotofile...if you go to the shop on the 3rd floor you can usually get your CCD cleaned for free. I was trying to buy some stuff I bought in the states to clean my sensor and they insisted they do it for me as I would certainly mess things up if I did it myself...the only thing is that they carried my camera around for a minute or so afterwards without a lens onjava script:emoticon(':o',%20'smid_11')

guess they think their shop is dust free :D

  4. What everyone else has said already. Depending on the quality of glass and what you're after you might find it easier to simply start over. Adaptors are pretty easy to find and usually pretty cheap, but depending you can loose quite a bit of functionality. I wish they'd release a digital K1000 or something...just a really basic DSLR with no AF, etc...just a basic camera for those of us who like to use manual focus and small primes for things...it feels odd buying a 1500 dollar camera and then rendering some of its innovations useless...

  5. I'm getting married in Koh Samui on 21st Jan 2007 and am looking for a good photographer. I've found a few on the web and so far haven't been that impressed with the shots I've seen.

I want someone who can not just take a quick snap but has a bit of imagination. Are you that person or can you recommand a photographer.

If the photographer is based elsewhere in Thailand I will consider paying for travel to the island and accommadation.

I sent you an email, but if it didn't go through please contact me. Check out my website (in bad need of updating to show thai beach weddings I've done lately...should be up in another week or so) at www.paulsworldphotography.com.

    Thanks,

    Paul
