The red color is not food coloring, or it should not be.

I have had cha-shao-rou in China, HK, Taiwan, and once in Thailand.

I do not know what to suggest, other than, maybe send out to GuangZhou?

What kind of suggestions are you looking for?

This is a dish available in many places in Thailand.

The quality in Thailand is quite good.

You should go to a shop where you see the cha-shao-rou hanging on hooks in the window.

Just tell them how much you want, and they will weigh it for you on a scale, and then serve it with rice, if you wish, together with a hot broth.

    Not especially complicated, actually.

I've had excellent char siu in many countries (the best in Sydney at a place where people queued for a 100 metres). But haven't found the good stuff here after trying half dozen places. Hence asking for a specific shop recommendation. I thought that was obvious.

  2. I've bought char siu from some takeaway shops but it's nearly always dry, not very tasty and looks like it's dyed with food colouring. Suggestions welcome.

  3. The blades keep slowing down to the point where i can nearly count the revolutions and then speeding up back to normal. After it started happening i took apart the fan and did a clean and lube. Improvement for a day or two but behaviour now back exactly as before.

If the problem is a bearing in the fan i would expect a constant speed and some mechanical noise. Can the power in the building be the culprit? It's a modern block of units. I don't notice lights dimming or any fluctuations in supply.

  4. I've never tried to have electrical items repaired in Thailand, so no idea if it's practical or where to go.

I have a Samsung convection microwave oven which is less than 10 years old and not too much use. When you turn it on, it runs like it's working but there is no heating produced. So I'm guessing that there's just a single part that's dead.

Do the ingredients arrive independently or do you have to go out to buy them?

I usually order a month's supply of ingredients online and because it's Thailand, delivery is super cheap.

However, I hear you need to go out and buy flour, yeast and bread improver every time you bake, if you're a professional forum troll.

  6. It sounds like you really like your bread, perhaps consider buying a bread machine. Once you get the bread the way you want it, it takes only a couple of minutes to load the machine each time you make it. It would take you less time than going out to buy it.

12 posts so far so let me be the first to address the question.

Many of the many weed shops have them with prices ranging from sensible 200 to ridiculous 1000 baht plus. Pop into a few and don't spend too much. One issue I have is finding or making screens to fit into the bowl. G'luck.

I appreciate your response. The screen thing is something I was not aware of so I'll try some YouTube videos on the subject.

It's unbelievable how many ill mentally individuals are still lurking around this platform after so many years.

    Cheers

    Where/when/how/relevance?

    His question is ambiguous!

He says he wants something called a "Bong" and i quote

    "always rolled my own"

"I'm not looking for souvenir or something decorative",

    "would like something practical."

Sounds to me he is looking for a Bang in a happy massage shop or similar!

Lol, surprised I have to explain this but maybe the term is country specific? A glass device you fill with water to filter marijuana smoke.
