  1. I feel exactly the same and that's way I give myself one more year and I will be out, then probably back again. Would not and will not make this my permanent home. There are better countries. I enjoy it for now though, even though I have almost been killed way too many times. Don't learn the language, it will ruin it even more.
  2. I have bought a honda city recently, BKK 3 months waiting time, I called every dealership close to an airport and secured one in Krabi with 0 waiting time.
  3. I don't think it's anyone's responsibility that ppl here fail to make enough for a living
  4. Perhaps you had history of previous vaccinations or the dog was confirmed to be rabies free, if not you were treated improperly.
  5. Got it, thanks. Right, I forgot there's a separate listing on my payslip.
  6. Yeah, I am in the highest tax bracket, I think I contributed my part already. If wish you can transfer it to me. There is so little benefit to paying taxes here as an expat, the one time I thought it would have worked it hadn't Btw, the total bill for whole course of 6 vaccines and HRIG will be over 10k.
  7. Can I somehow get w refund if I went to ER in another place? Obviously it's not something I had planned
  8. Hey, So recently I got attacked by a dog on an island of Ko Phayam in Ranong province(I recommend to check it out). They only have small gov clinic, so I went there and received my shots and got the wound cleaned. They charged me only for the vaccines, which was 500b in total. Now here is the weird thing. I work and pay taxes here, so I have the social security card, which I wanted to use to you know, have some of those tax money back as I still have to pay premium in the parks etc. They refused me and asked to pay in cash. I didn't argue, I just assumed it was because of the remote nature of the island. I went for second shot to a prive hospital, which was covered by my insurance and third shot was done in Ko Phangan public hospital. The bill was little bit over 1k and they once again refused to take my social security card. What's the deal here? Why do I even contribute towards public healthcare system if I cannot use it? Don't get me wrong, 99% of the time I go to private hospitals anyways, I just want to understand how it works.
  9. Got my credit card 2 months ago. At first I got rejected at all banks but someone tipped me I had to reapply once 1 year had passed on my work permit. I did it week after 1 year working mark and got approved in 3 days for a 250k limit without any blockade or Thai co signer. I think you just make too little or your job seems unstable or both. To be honest with my salary I was surprised I had been refused before but they must have 0 trust for foreigners nowadays. Most purchases I make with QR code or debit card but the Thai credit cards have good bonuses, lounge access and 0% installments so it's worth getting one. Ah and it's from Kazikiem, but I am going to get another one soon. Also got car finance from them without any issues.
  10. Build it easily usinmg bricks. Tutorials available on youtube. This is more of a temporary solution but maybe will be sufficient.
  11. Whatever works for you. I rather have a partner with near equal salary.
  12. First rejected after 5 hrs, second still pending and I moved my lazy ass and dropped the passport with HR guy that does it for my company. He did it in 1 day and my status is still pending. One stop visa center in BKK.
  13. Why would you marry someones that has no income? This can only cause trouble
  14. Please share your findings, I think this would be kinda legal to avoid paying any income taxes?
  15. If you guys are old and texting younger girls, don't be surprised they want money or support.
