On the email to confirm the appointment, do you receive any sort of confirmation number or code?, or is it simply a copy of the time, date etc with your name on it? TIA -

The point is it should be free. This thread is about corruption. There was also no choice to collect it tomorrow if payment wasn't made, once they have your passport, you have no choice. I didn't pay 500 after some negotiations in Thai, but i still had to pay.

Patong Immigration office now also charging 500 baht for a certificate of residence which should be free. I went last month and was told 'new rules'. Burgo

So the qr codes for bike and car license are different?. I cant use the qr code from my bike licence to register a car?

Thanks, sadly i don't have a photo of my car license, only my bike license, would that work or is it a different qr code?
