  1. It's not a question of believing, its what i saw and heard. I too am stocked up, and use different suppliers at great prices. For me it's just safer to get the card. I know where we are, lived here 27 years, so in situations like this i tend to be as legal as possible to avoid any potential consequences down the line.
  2. They are Dr's who are already practicing, they aren't Dr's who have just had two weeks training about cannabis. Either way, if I need to see one to get my card and script who cares anyway. I actually have a medical condition, and took my medicine to show him, he knew pretty much straight away what my condition was, and it's pretty specific. Highly doubtful anyone with Asthma would be prescribed cannabis unless in edible form.
  3. The Dr in the shop has nothing to do with them being there incase someone feels ill, they are there to evaluate the patient before issuing prescription. The bigger companies already have them in shop.
  4. Pretty sure there is, and its covered in earlier posts. There's always a point in thinking ahead here, wether its weed, immigration etc etc. It seems to me that the ones that don't always moan when they then have to 'jump through hoops' I certainly wouldn't wont to take the risk currently of being in possession of weed if stopped without card and script or copy of script. 'Recreational possession: Illegal; any amount without a prescription risks fines up to 25,000 Baht or 3 months imprisonment.'
  5. Why would it be a hassle?, took 15 minutes. I'd rather be on top of things, this is Thailand, Where I buy it from is irrelevant and so is the quantity as my script is still valid and i would not smoke anywhere near 30g a month anyway. I want to be sure if I get stopped by the police i can show them that i am legally allowed to carry weed. Surely people can't be that stupid to think the police aren't going to use the new laws to try and get tea money. Never ceases to amaze me how many people just do not forward think.
  6. That's what i was told when i got my card and script. I was also told that the script can be used at any shop if needed, not just the chain of shops i got it from. If people aren't buying 30g at once, how will they monitor sales, and at what point does the shop(s) retain the original script for their records?. On the flip side, once i got my script i bought 4 grams and my script wasnt taken.....
  7. Correct, already got my card and script, and fully aware you don't have to SMOKE 30 grams lol, but the law seems to say that 30g must be purchased at once. My point was people will need to show a copy of their scripts alongside their card if stopped at checkpoints, as the original script is kept by the shop you purchase from.
  8. But prescriptions are only valid once within a 30 day period for 30 grams, and original scripts have to be handed in when you purchase, so nobody will be carrying scripts unless they havent used it yet. Its the medical card I'd say is what you need at checkpoints, and a photo of the script on your phone
  9. Online sale currently don't follow the law, and are illegal. Dosen't mean they don't happen tho. Eventually legal online sales will derive from the weed companies that will Monopolize the industry going forward.
  10. I have a feeling that once its all sorted, online sales will be allowed from the shops that have onsite Doctors and give prescriptions and cards.
  11. Ok, i understand it was delivered to your house, but a lot of medical weed users will carry it with them wherever they go i case they need it quickly, that's what i was getting at.
  12. What will you do if your stopped by police in possession of weed without a card or prescription?
  13. Do you know if the shops open are asking for a prescription to be able to buy?
  14. Buy it online as many Thai and non Thai do. With some shops closing, the amount of product available will be huge, so online sales will increase, plus its cheaper. Always a way.....
  15. Thanks. I'm in Phang Nga, but Phuket is going to be my best hope i think, and I'm there a few times a week on business. Look forward to your update.
