But how can I do that? if I approach them they will ask to pay for all 20 days, and immigration wants their id as well
What about booking through a website that offers full refund for cancellation?

Yeah. it WAS only 2 copies. Glad I seen this before going. I'm sure the stadium is well equipped for making additional copies if needed.
And why LIMITING to 100 day? that's crazy. so only 300 more people can get their extension? So they requested 3 photos?

Great advice. I didn't know. Sorry. How?
On a laptop, you can hover the cursor (don't click) over their username, and a box will pop up with the option to ignore them. I don't know how it would be done on a phone. I don't see the option to ignore on profiles. Maybe there are other ways to get to the ignore settings.

Crystal clear communication at all times IMHO. If some chose to hedge their bets on an 11th hour SECOND amnesty extension that never happened, it's a clear case of som nam-nah.
The first amnesty lasted until only April 30th. The first extension was until July 31st. September 26th was the second extension. You have no idea what you're talking about, and you're polluting this thread with your nonsense because you have a bitter, empty life, with nothing to do but whine about things that are none of your business. I'm muting you, as everyone should do.

The Chonburi Immigration site has a pop up graphic on the homescreen that says local immigration offices are accepting applications for visa extensions through the 26th. Has anyone tried this? Would you need to be living in that specific district, and not just anywhere in Chonburi? I called Siracha IO but I couldn't communicate well with the agent.

Are they counting out the first 100 people in line and telling the rest to go home?

The image above says 3 copies of every document, but the previous instructions said 2 copies of everything, and the image currently on the Chonburi Immigration website says 2 copies of some things, 3 copies of others. I have only two photos, so I'm wondering if I need to get my photo taken again, or if this is just a mistake.

But I will also keep petitioning to extend with my embassy letter(s) for as long as they will permit it. While it is hellish the hoops we need to jump through here, it is nothing compared to the hell going on in the West.
By the end of October, traveling to Europe or the US will likely be even more difficult than now. Many countries will be restricting travel as the plague accelerates in fall. The Thai authorities probably realize that people who don't leave now will not be able to leave for many months, so they're scaring off some of those who could end up broke by December or so.
They will do something, if not this week, then in October. Another amnesty or offer new in-country tourist visas or at least give multiple 30-day extensions.
If a country won't bother to issues embassy letters for its citizens, that means Thailand will feel little diplomatic pressure to give them extensions, but they're not going to do mass round-ups, incarcerations, deportations etc in a pandemic, when no other countries are doing anything like that. And countries requesting extensions for their citizens aren't going to be snubbed, especially when the situation gets worse in the Northern Hemisphere. Thailand isn't going to turn itself into an international pariah to appease a few trolls on ThaiVisa.

Is Pattaya IO the only one known to be requesting the 7-part list of documents above, for a 30-day covid extension with an embassy letter? I haven't seen that mentioned in any other thread.

Would you have to book a hotel for 20 days past Sept 26th to get the full extension? I don't know why someone would have a lease, a booking or own a home for a time period when they don't yet have a visa...
If you get only the 7 days, can that be extended as part of the same extension, or would it require a new appliction?

The letters from the British Embassy ask the immigration to extend the visa , the letters from the USA Embassy just state that they have no objections to a visa extensions .
USA people may face scrutiny from the I.O when they apply because an extension has not been requested by their Embassy
You're still telling that same lie about letters from the US embassy ????
"The Embassy of the United States of America requests these special circumstances be considered for U.S. citizens who remain in Thailand on temporary visas and wish to apply for temporary extensions of stay..."

Either amnesty will be extended or there will be an option for a new long term tourist visa for people currently on amnesty (like the one they're talking about for new arrivals, but without quaratine/testing, of course). Maybe a short amnesty extension first, to give people time to apply for a new tourist visa without flooding immigration offices. At the very least, they will make 30-day pandemic extensions available to everyone. It makes no sense economically or diplomatically to kick people out now, it's just a fantasy some bitter people in this forum have.

That may have been for the letters prior to September 26 th , the newer letters state what I wrote (according to reports on here)
No, that's a direct quote from a brand new letter, straight from the US embassy. The "reports on here" are wrong. I've seen people make this claim repeatedly, but none of them actually quote the letter, because they haven't seen the letter; they're just repeating what they heard from someone else who doesn't know what they're talking about.

Although the USA letter doe not ask immigration to extend your visa , they just say, "We have no objection if you give an extension "
That is false. This is what the actual letter says:
"We wish to refer to the unique global transportation restrictions caused by the pandemic outbreak of COVID-19, and its effects on international travel. The Embassy of the United States of America requests these special circumstances be considered for U.S. citizens who remain in Thailand on temporary visas and wish to apply for temporary extensions of stay from the Immigration Bureau of the Royal Thai Police."

Why is everyone picking on people with tourist visas saying they're the only ones who should leave?
What about those with a Thai family? Should they not leave with their family?
Should they be rewarded because their pull out game is weak?
Everyone should stick together.
Well done to the German, I hope he has convinced the PM to extend amnesty.
I suspect most of the bitter crybabies who have nothing left in life but to wish misfortune on others are the ones who are stuck in their home countries away from their "girlfriends" and "wives," (who, by the way, are having a great time in Thailand right now ???? with us low-life tourists.)
Then there are the Cheap Charlies who hope that if more farangs leave, the ladies on TF and street corners will drop their prices even more, allowing them to wring another date or two from their pensions each month.

I live near Suvarnabhumi airport, and I see airplanes constantly arriving and departing. A lot of these are most likely courier flights such as DHL, FEDX, etc, but there is a lot of traffic now. It has been this way for the past month. Sometimes while having a cigarette outside, it is not uncommon to see two airplanes during the short time it takes to finish a cigarette.
So my hunch is:
There are hourly flights to Chiang Mai and Phuket and numerous flights per day to Chiang Rai, Udon Thani etc. leaving BKK. Unfortunately, those places are not foreign countries.

Thanks, everyone. Vecay looks good, unless somebody pops up with info about shared shuttles that are currently running.

Anybody know if minibuses are currently running from Patong to the airport? Or any method of getting there for less than a taxi? I have a flight Friday, midday.

At what point did I say it was only Phuket that was offering the 3 months extension ?
This is a thread about Phuket Immigration in the Phuket forum, the tambon lock down has a lot to do with it as Phuket is (or was until today) the only province to have a tambon lockdown.
As long as this is a Phuket related thread about Phuket Immigration I will continue to refer to “Phuket” and not “Thailand”.
Yeah, exactly, this is a Phuket thread, so that's why I'd like to see information about Phuket and not absurd theories about what the national government is thinking. The national gov is not basing their immigration policy on one tiny province. The national gov didn't give a three-month extension because they thought the Phuket lockdown would last through July. LOL
As you wrote:
"Am I the only person who suspects the sub-districts will not be opening up before the 31st July (or at least not all of them) ? Otherwise why is the visa amnesty not being extended to 31st May, or 30th June ? Do the immigration know something we don’t ?"
Yes, you were the only person who suspected that the sub-districts would not be opening up before July 31st, because everyone else knows that the visa amnesty is unrelated to the Phuket tambon lockdown. You really thought the national government bases its entire immigration policy on a few people on a little island in a remote part of the country?
You are confused about a lot of things. People are trying to explain things to you, but you don't listen.

This was the point I tried to make that may have been misunderstood. I’m surprised why the amnesty period is so long, right the way through to July 31st.
Immediately after I questioned this the tambon lockdowns were lifted, so as of 1st May just about everyone in Phuket (with the exception of some in the red zones) can visit the immigration.
OK it’s understandable the immigration office don’t want to be mobbed on the 1st May, but the period of the amnesty (3 months) seems long and kind of goes against the norm. Similar to the emergency decree, you would expect them to give a date of 31st May, assess a few days before and then possibly extend to 30th June, and so on.
My concern is so many people will leave it until 1st August, either out of sheer laziness, or because they are simply under the impression they are not allowed to go there until the 1st August.
I can see another announcement coming soon from Phuket immigration..
The 3-month automatic visa extension is for all of Thailand. It has nothing to do with the tambon lockdown in Phuket.

The article out now sounds a bit more lenient, as far as the numbers of areas being opened. The Governor said he wants to open all but a few red-zones.
“The quarantine for other subdistricts can end already as we have not found any new cases there, but areas in Patong, Cherng Talay, Rassada and Wichit must remain under quarantine for another 14 days,” Chief Thanit explained.
he 14 days starts from the date of the last known case, so for some places that could be May 5th or 6th. And they say even parts of those hot sub-districts may open sooner, because they can quarantine certain villages within them.
Other than getting rid of some of the roadblocks, I haven't seen any specific info about what will change. Is that it, or will more businesses/beaches be allowed to open? Obviously bars and such will not, but will the cool-zones of Phuket be under standard national rules now, or still more severe? We'll see...

8.5 Opening airport for domestic flights. (but this is already pushed back according my information)
11.5 Opening international schools, shopping malls

Pattaya immigration very busy

I just read about it last, week, right after I booked a flight to Pattaya airport. It seems Pattaya IO may be the only one in the country requiring proof of a 20 day stay. Maybe they were worried a bunch of people living in Bangkok would come to Pattaya for a few days to do the extension. Or they're trying to pressure people to stay in Pattaya longer than they intended. Who knows.
