  1. a week or so ago i attended the "impact" section and had my original 30day visa exemption extended to may 7th

Since then seen countless posts on here regarding amnestys and thelike but am still struggling to be clean on if i need to attend again to renew a 2nd time or if i am covered by any "amnesty" beyond may 7th

Can anyone post a clear message as opposed to gobbeldegook about renewing a 2nd time(if that is now nesssary)?

  2. i am supposed to be flying out of kl back to athens via istanbul with turkish airlines on april 18th but i think turkish airlines are suspended till at least the end of april

lready changed my return flight(supposed to be april 14th then changed to april 18th)and now im resigned to it being changed yet again but turkish airlines office at 3th floor sathorn square in silom is currently closed

Might need to try to change my return to europe from bangkok instead of kuala lumpur and am considering going up to suvanatam airport tomorrow in order to attempt it

  3. i was at the immigration office last friday and extended my tourist visa till may 7th(paying 1,900 baht)

Hopefully the flights back to europe will have resumed by may 7th but if not what are the implications of an automatic visa?(will i still need to return to the "impact" complex again or does automatic visa imply that it will be asumed another 30 visa is in my passport from may 7th onwards?

    Confused of silom!!!

  5. i turned 66 in mid august 2019 and applied to the uk pension office in wolverhampton applying for a pension

I included various documents such as my birth certificate,my national insurance number, etc and also included a copy of my employment records which showed in had 19 years of national insurance contributions as for the past nearly 30 years i have worked abroad

The pension office acknowledged receipts of my application on 3/2/20 and also sent a 1pc481 form for me to fill in in order to clarify my irish bank details(requesting my iban number and bic number etc)

I was on the phone to them about 7 days ago so should i pursue my now claim or leave it for another weeek or two?

  6. ok,cheers....i'll give it a try

im crying out for the thai/malaysian borders to reopen......not only because i am due to fly out of kl back to greece but its also considerably cheaper to live down there

  8. I was due to fly back to athens(via istanbul)with turkish airlines on april 15th(from kuala lumpur) then on a rearranged schedule on april 18th(which is also going to have to be rearranged)this time from bangkok

Anyone else on here who flew into se asia with turkish airlines and is due to fly back to europe with them

Not really helping matters that the turkish airlines office(in sathorn square, silom) is now closed until further notice....i guess europe is not really the place to be right now as the situation there is arguably as bad as it currently is in thailand and malaysia

  9. update.....well i got out of bed as planned just after 6am and today the trainand bus and motorbike to the :IMPACT" complex out on the outskirts of northern bangkok and and walked through the entrance just after 8am,emerging again just after 1pm with a new tourist view extended till may 7th

Apart from it all being very time consuming thing went better than i had expected and now have until may 7th to sort out my flighs back to greece

Total cost of a new tourist visa was 1,900 baht from Muang Thong Thani estate in Nonthaburi

  10. I am actually irish(from belfast)and have been coming to se asia for 20 years and left athens for kuala lumpur on january 22nd

i mid february i moved onto to vietnam and after 2 weeks in hanoi and saigon moved on to phnom penn and siem reap then on march 9th flew to bangkok before his whole coronavinus stull really began

I am due to fly out of kl back to athens on april 18th since which time all hell has let loose

  11. i am getting out of bed about 6.30am on friday morning and take the train up to mo chit and thereafter heading up to muang thon thani in the hope of securing myself with at least a 30 day extension to my 30 day visa exempt stamp

i arrived in thailand(into don muang airport)from siem reap in cambodia on march 9th,2020  and will have my uk passport,1,900baht,2 passport size photos but wont have the tm6 immigration form which i had upon arrival but which was lost soon after my opening few days in bangkok

Also i wont have any uk embassy letter as this is to be my first tourist visa extension application

I will probably be taking along considerable patience as the matter might be drawn out and time consuming

Any hints or tips to facilitate my application would be most welcome

The stamp from my arrival on march 9th is in my passport as is the stamp for my expected departure9(april 7th)

  12. If the arrival happened after march 1st

But does this mean the arrivee does not need to attend the immigration office till the end of the 2nd 30 day periord and if it will mean the 30 day extension is assumed with or without any immigration stamp

Also, just received this from the british embassy " if you are on a tourist visa you can apply for a first extension yourself at an Immigration Office."
