The police are only bleating about the crime to take attention off the confiscated grog, beats the hell out of buying it.

Maybe we could flip this and insist if the Governor can't provide vaccinations for all those who sign up, he goes to jail until he can.
Good plan, make it so.

Wasn’t a pre requisite for opening this scheme in July that 70% of the locals had to be vaccinated first.?
How is that going to happen for those participants in July, then again for the rest in October when the target is now 70% of the population by the end of the year?
Add to that information a notice from Australian Government that it was unlikely Australian would be reopened before this time next year, not to forget that 75 year olds and upwards do not qualify for Thai Pandemic Insurance.

6 people and a child of around 11 or 12 years old have a get together around the pool and its called an illegal party? Surely we're missing something here as this is just bizarre.
It could also be a ploy to take attention away from the vaccine supply or lack thereof.

With all this confusion I really wonder what the real numbers are in Thailand TIT
We will never know, just as no one inside the Junta will know how many have died, why should they care, they are alright!

I may have missed it, but if all tourist still have to buy Covid 19 Insurance cover which I am presuming will still be in force while Thailand continues to deal with outbreaks, then you can kiss goodbye to those Tourists above the age of 75 because there is no available cover above that age.

Just what we need for the image of foreigners in Thailand...oh brother. hit him with 6000 baht fine...if he transgresses again....throw him out
Yeah not smart but did you see the people riding their scooter without helmets getting pulled over? No. Double standards.

So they are going to collect 300 baht per tourist, they aint gonna make much money then, tourists will not be coming.
Who ever dreamed up that, is a complete nutter, Thailand is desperate for tourists, yet the nutters keep putting things in place to deter tourists.
Over the past 4 months there has been so many counter proposals to deter people from retiring in Thailand let alone Tourists coming, it isn't going to happen. In this Paper we have been called dirty Farangs, Aliens and that we are not welcome via a recent Poll. Got a flash for the guys behind the stuffed up Administration, "It's over" what was you have destroyed.

This is disgusting, plain and simple.
In one fell swoop, Thailand has proven that it is fifty years behind the rest of the world.
Definitely a wolf in sheep's clothing. With all the double talk and misinformation it would not surprise me if the bottom fell out of prospective retirees and tourist numbers, why would the average persons bother with Thailand at all. Why not be honest and make a new flag that says "Third World and proud of it"!!!

I wonder why he is presenting for a current topic in military uniform, perhaps to impress people as to ability or just fancy dress of the day lol

Travel publications never get it right in my opinion - it is not cost effective to be honest. It is always the greener pasture. Read with a huge grain of salt.
A review of the reviewer:
https://infolific.com/money-management/retirement/international-living-review/
I would second that, I subscribed to International Living only to find that the glowing recommendations appeared to come from people with 2 - 3k a month to support them, my pension doesn't come close as I found out when I visited some of these "fine" places in South East Asia. After being stuck on Samui for nearly 3 months last year March to June I saw enough to even cross the Island off my list for even a 2 week visit.

A whole lot more, when you look at what has happened to other Nations around the world one has to question the figures that have been published for Thailand last year, especially since the oversite committee has demonstrated such a level of ignorance and incompetence over recent months. We will never know the actual figures.

I still keep thinking that this is another "Thai Airways" <deleted> and the till is empty, that would go a long way to explaining this flip flopping that's going on, if they declared bankrupt on this issue nothing will happen, they will hold an investigation at the local cat house and forgive themselves.
